Colors Man Black

A cheapie with great performance on my skin and clothes. Spicy but warm and near. Perfect for dating... Even when you can easily notice synthetic notes, you can perceive some kind of coriander(?) which makes it more natural in the start. Smells like 4x the price for me. You can still smell it (sticking the nose a little) after 15 hours. Pure madness! Smell: 10/10 Performance: 8/10 Projection: Sometimes you don't smell it for half an hour or so, but suddenly it comes back and knocks you right in the face.

I really love this perfume and it's up there with my more expensive favourites. This is one I can wear any and every day, on basically all occasions :-) It just makes me happy, and never gets boring. It's an oud scent but it's not generic like Dior's Sauvage or even Chanel Bleau, both which I don't like. Colors Man Black by Benetton is playful and free of pretensions. It's hapiness in a bottle. And for it's price it's even better.

Great smell for a cheapy! It has nothing to do MIB or SB, absolutely nothing! All you have is a woody-peppery scent, the proeminent note is the agarwood. The most interesting thing, this is not so synthetic like other cheapies. There are times when i get waves of the barber's scent! For the price you can not complaint; you get what you pay for! Blind buy, yeah why not, you have nothing to lose! Performance is medium!

An excellent cheapy: it is mainly a synthetic agarwood and leather blend that gets the job done, you will smell nice, and you won't suffocate those around you. IMHO, amp it up several decibels, and you would have something in the vein of blends selling at USD 150 or more with bestial sillage and longevity. Well, this is the other way around, inexpensive, subtle yet manly.

I just started a small collection and I love this. The cologne really made feel like I'm at home drinking some chocolate milk near a fireplace. This beats my only other winter fragrance, Sexual noir by Michel Germain. For a blindbuy, this is very pleasant.

Pretty great smell and it reminded me of something that took a while to remember It resembles Bentley for Men Intense a lot, you might be worried that it's too similar but honestly if you found Bentley too strong then this is a great alternative

it’s my favorite cologne on my boyfriend!!! it’s sooo delicious like genuinely the best masculine scent i’ve ever smelt!! it also lasts ages because he’s sprayed onto gifts for me and it’s stuck after years!!! yumm

The best cheap perfume in my collection. I've tested it with 4 women and they've chosen it over a 240 EUR Ombre Nomade. It's a dark and oudy version of Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb. I like it a lot.

They sell you a 200ml bottle because you need to apply a lot for it to last. Blast to last—pew pew all over the body! I do love the smell, though.

This is mix of Spices from Z&V This is Him and sweet oud. Very good cheap fragrance. Very strong and long lasting.

Very masculine and modern scent!!

Bruce Wayne III... good nose on you. Per Parfumo it was infact Jordi Fernandez that created this scent. Incidentally that is why I blind bought this as I've only smelled two other scents (exclusively) by Jordi and both are in my top ten of all time. I get a creamy light oud and suede with a prominent nutmeg note. A bit dark, a bit sweet, a bit spicy and a bit creamy...it's nice but there's a carnation like aspect to the creaminess that doesn't sit well with me, but then again carnation is my mortal enemy. Without smelling side by side, this vaguely reminds me of Elizabeth Taylor's passion for men, both are spicy sweet over a creamy carnation-esque vanilla. I hope in time I stop picking up the carnation as it would then find it's way into rotation as a mellow, dark comfort scent.

Probably one of the most interesting fragances I own. Been asking people around me what they smell. Everyone can smell the vanila, amber and "wood" behind it, but some find the pepper "too strong". Overall, great fragance for the price (got 200 ml for 30 USD in LATAM). But, performance is terrible lol. You'll smell great for 30 min, but you'll keep having this vanila scent on skin for a couple of hours.

Pretty nice fragrance, specially for the price. It's very woody, warm sweet Vanilla with some spices. In the same ballpark as Zadig&Voltaire This Is Him but this one is less sharp on the woody side. I'm really surprised by this release. Never thought that Benetton had something actually nice and unique.

I tried it once on paper and it was a nice surprise. Peppery, fresh, woody, synthetic yes, but a good one.Great deal for the price. Is Jordi Fernandez (the nose behind Haltane from Parfums de Marly) the creator of this fragance? 😏

A very pleasant combination of Lavender with Woody and Spicy notes. It's a decent performer, and very appropriate for everyday wearing. Overall, a nice surprise.

The most dominant fragrance is Oud (Agarwood). Once sprayed on my arms it stayed for very long time (4 hours+). I tried to wash it with soap and it only went of 50%. After 12 hours it was gone (But microscopic nose may still detect it). There was absolutely no hint of Pepper or Bergamot. There is Vanilla also dominant just like Agarwood. I was hoping Nutmeg and and Patchouli but was not present. The better option is Colors Aim High that is much much sexier and masculine. It mixes with sweat and creates an irresistible fragrance.

nice cosy smell with rather underwhelming performance or to be more precise, underwhelming projection. it's likeable enough and the price is good, yet you were getting Brit or Dreamer for the same money only a couple of years ago, remember? would you call that a progress? in any case, it's a decent cheappie that would make a good present for your son or nephew. you can always stop talking to them if they don't like it.

Nice spicy-woody-ambery-incency-generic. Performance is below average, it's basically EDC / body mist strength. You basically get what you pay.

For the price it is good, it smells too peppery for my nose. If you dont overspray this, it is okay

Smell is a 10/10 Performance is a 3/10. Projects for 15 mins and lasts for an hour on skin and two on clothes. Very intimate skin scent. Overall 5/10. Very disappointed with performance given that the smell itself is excellent.

First impressions after only one wear: Instantly happy with this and will keep it, after several other unsuccessful attempts to find a cheap designer oud fragrance (frustratingly difficult for someone who doesn't really like rose-oud). The main notes are vanilla and synthetic oud, with shades of black pepper and lavender. The oud accord is polite and designer-y, close to the one in Dunhill Icon Absolute, or like a more synthetic version of the one in Thameen Carved Oud. It lasted all evening on my arm. UPDATE: Yeah I still really like this. It's somewhere between woody and chocolatey. The scent is pretty heavy on the lavender to my nose, giving it a surprisingly fresh element. I could picture this as a Montale - 'Blue Vanilla Aoud' or something like that!! UPDATE 2: I have relegated this to my vault of unworn fragrances, after deciding it was too synthetic and too young for me. However, I keep finding myself digging it back out on cold winter nights and absolutely loving the warm, soft, chocolatey, spicy, oud-like vibe! The range of different fragrances that have been suggested in "Reminds Me Of", is testament to the many facets of Colours Man Black. Yes it's synthetic and a bit garish, but if you can embrace it is it's SOOO good! It will remain a guilty pleasure for me!

Sometimes Fragrantica voters really miss on the notes they notice. Most of the time they're pretty accurate, but it's beyond comprehension that so few people pick up on the lavender in this fragrance. Lavender is ranked SEVENTH out of the listed notes and yet this opens with a massive wave of lavender - the only thing I can smell is Vanilla and lavender for the first 30 minutes and yet it's ranked seventh? Drugs. I'm blaming drugs because people's noses can't be that bad.

Perfect for a date or Netflix & Chill, smells really good but does not project, if you want a woody/soft scent for everyday use, dates that wont be loud, this is the one, is also very cheap.

After an opening a bit 90's this Benetton dries down very, very similar to Wujood, so somehow like Rosendo Mateau 05. Nice surprise. Good performance in my case.

Great scent for colder weather. Reminds of Cremo's Spice and Black Vanilla, but slightly woodsier. Generates a sensual, warm and cozy vibe.

Aside from pepper and lavander I can get .......a coke or Dr Pepper note?!?!

Incredible value ! Could easily cost 10x the price... I love it
