Majestic Cashmere

Ambrette and Cashmeran are two of my favorite notes and I'm pleased to report that this is bursting with them both. The toasted-vanilla of the tonka is the next most prominent note and then the patch. This makes it sweet but not quite gourmand sweet. The cool, dry woodiness of the Cashmeran with the incense and the patch earthiness keep it toned down. Pretty linear so far (about 5 hours in) - the biggest change is that it's less sweet now but the main notes remain the same as when I first applied it. I do think the powderiness of the Orris is more detectable now that some of that sweetness has diminished. This is also quite safely unisex in my opinion. Fantastic fragrance, I can't wait to try on the others in the line.

Got a carded sample of this one with an unrelated purchase. This is a fragrance from Bentley's higher-end "Beyond - The Collection," with each fragrance inspired by an iconic travel destination. (I don't know why Majestic Cashmere is inspired by Goa... approximately 1,000 miles south of Kashmir...) Majestic Cashmere is a musk bomb, with a cozy, buttercream-colored cashmere effect from the very first spray. Very quickly, you get the impression of iris and ambrette, which add a different, more vegetal and fresh muskiness. Despite being built around musks, it never goes scratchy or cheap smelling, and I can clearly sense some good quality naturals (vetiver, tonka, labdanum, patchouli) underlying it all. This fragrance smells very similar to Musc de Sables by Les Indemodables - and they are not miles apart in terms of quality. Even if it's not my style, I think it is a terrific smelling fragrance and I would appreciate smelling it on someone else. It's unisex, but does lean a little mature, I think. Huge projection for a musk fragrance!

I was looking for a good cashmere scent to purchase and after much consideration I purchased this, a blind buy. A warm and powdery scent that delivers what it advertises. However, I find it to be a bit boring, not a fault of the product but of my expectations. I will say that the musk aspect of this fragrance seems to outshine the cashmere aspect. Didn't project all that well, even early on, but worked as a skin scent for the entire work day. This is a sophisticated scent that can double for an office day time wear or an evening out wear. Not an active wear scent.

Light patchouli, some peppery notes and woods essentially. Would make a decent office scent probably but I find it a little dull. My least favourite of this collection.

I like this one a lot. From the very first spray, I got this wonderful warmth of Tonka and little incense and plenty of musk and some booziness. This is a genie in a bottle to me. It projects great for about 3 to 4 hours with silage being the same & then turns into a skin scent for another 6 hours. I do sense a little amber, but I am not sure if amber is in the fragrance. This smells very classy & is more for the colder weather. In my view, this is s steal if purchased at a discounters for under $100.
