Mellow Heliotrope

It started very nice with a burst of sweet fruity notes (raspberry) and lipstick-y accord. But quickly turns into a traditional mass market synthetic candy type of scent. Reminds me a bit of Mmmm.. by JHAG. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

A rather strong, sweet opening—delightfully yet elegantly vanilla—soon softens and settles into a skin scent. A lovely, linear, and feminine fragrance.

Opens with some really nice florals but quickly settles into something that kind of smells like an old fashioned sweet shop. I think it’s the violets and praline. Way too sweet for me. It’s not an unpleasant smell, I would just rather not smell like a bag of sweets. It seemed to last and project well for a good 4 hours or so, and stayed as a skin scent for ages.

Violet candy! Was hoping for a powdery heliotrope and iris scent, but I get a ton of violets with some raspberry and pink pepper. Opens with soapy violets, but as the scent dries down, the raspberry and pink pepper get stronger and kind of reminds me of Givenchy Hot Couture EDT.

I love each of the notes in this fragrance - I was expecting almond vanilla-powder soft & sweet but the florals stand out prevalent. Mandarin, pink pepper, gardenia - those are the notes I smell the most. Im convinced honeysuckle is in here... Now the base seems to be what I expected. Very nice fragrance for those who like an almond floral with their soft musk - projects well, lasts long.

While I don’t have a problem with people wearing fragrances meant for opposite sex, this collection is not unisex in general. In the Bentley beyond collection, the fragrances with the leather on the caps are geared towards men which lean woody, spicy and earthy. While the fragrances with suede in the caps are geared towards women which lean floral, floral and sweet.
