Wild Vetiver

Exceptionally nice, high quality smelling vetiver scent with a bit of spice and citrus. This one is great for spring time if you are a vetiver lover. Folks who do not appreciate vetiver should steer clear. There is a little burnt rubber note in the base, but only when you get your nose right down on the skin where you have sprayed this juice. The birch contributes a twinge of smoke to an otherwise clean, natural vetiver green vibe. This fragrance is similar to Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, but the sillage and longevity here are better. Definitely office appropriate. Your co-workers might think you got a promotion when they smell this fragrance on you. Presentation is great, very much in keeping with the Bentley car brand image. The bottle mimics the headlight trim found on some Bentleys and the leather trim on the nicely knurled metal lid is tastefully done and the chartreuse color hints at the way the fragrance smells. The whole product from box through bottle and atomizer to the great smelling juice just oozes quality, class and luxury. Highly recommended for vetiver lovers. Full bottle worthy.

It’s a light airy vetiver, crisp and clean, with a good amount of citrus freshness. Less vetiver than Terre D’Hermes, which I think is more earthy. I have a full bottles of both. The Bentley has good longevity but not huge projection. You’ll get a soft air cloud around you for up to 7-8hours then it’s just a skin scent. I have a few from this line, Exotic Musk, Majestic Cashmere, and this one. They’re all great but they definitely are trying to do something like the Eccentric Molecules line of frags, heavy on the synthetic molecules like iso e gamma, cashmeran, and vetiverol (respectively). That is to say this is not natural vetiver but a synthetic analog. Can be found cheap $60-70 from online discounters, especially in Canada.

My new signature scent! Beautiful juice, and beautifully packaged. To my nose, it's similar to TFs Grey Vetiver- but it goes its own way. Definitely best for fall/spring, but it works in cooler temps due to an earthy note- and has a citrusy note that shines in warmer temps. Lasts all day, and it's very light. Can work with any occasion, day or night, dressed up or down. For the price, it's a no brainer. Get it!

Not the most interesting fragrance, but vetiver straight scents usually aren’t. It does smell great and completely inoffensive Unless you have a thing against vetiver but then I don’t see why you’d even be interested in this. Long lasting put not loud or projecting. Bright clean slightly earthy vetiver.

Attractive packaging and equally attractive scent. Can be used during day or night, and for casual or formal occasions. I have really grown to appreciate vetiver thanks to this fragrance. Using verbena to support the vetiver keeps this from taking on a more typical citrus scent. If you don't care for it immediately, I would suggest wearing it a couple of times to see if you don't change your mind. My favorite from the Bentley Beyond releases (Majestic Cashmere, Exotic Musk).

My favourite from the collection. A strong verbena and vetiver note with a bit of a light leathery birch thrown in. Consider it like Guerlain made Vetiver Extra Intense and you have a idea of how this feels.

It gets better if you can survive through the opening! I don't know but the opening smells like some fried mashrooms, bacon and German sausage.

Great value. Slightly inky vetiver, very masculine. Reminds me of Lunar Vetiver.

Opens with an intense dried tobacco leaf smell that's almost, but not quite, cigarettes. The dry down is a masculine fresh herbal that smells almost like menthol cigarettes. It's oddly not unpleasant but is definitely not blind buy safe. Projection is high, sillage moderate. Longevity about 4 hours.

Just got a decant of this because someone said this is like my favorite Vetiver frags - Guerlain, Roja, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Terre d'Hermes Eau Intense Vetiver - but even better. Nope. This isn't nearly the easy-going citrus vetivers I love. This is a Vetiver scent that is dominated by the smoky, woody, earthy, leathery accords, and subsumes the citrus underneath. If that's the kind of Vetiver you prefer then you are in luck. It's a strong Vetiver. It's not bad imo, just not the more citrus heavy and better blended variety I favor. Now, Wild Vetiver does drydown fairly nicely. It starts to manifest a surprising similarity, just a bit, to a profile like Houbigant Bois Mystique. A slight fresh incense-y woody profile with a touch of tanginess. And even a more distant similarity to a Terre d'Hermes DNA. Its OK but I would seek a full bottle only if I could find a really good price. Seems at this time the cheapest I can find on the secondary market is about $80 USD. It would have to be closer to $50 USD for me to buy.

I just got this bottle in the mail today. I got it for a bargain online, for about 30 euros or a fraction of the price it originally retailed for back when it came out. I got it from a reputable online retailer btw. That said, upon spraying it, it smells surprisingly similar to Encre Noire by Lalique which I also own, so much so to the point that I'm slightly disappointed. It's basically just a less dark version of EN. I should maybe add that I did order this bottle in the midst of hot and humid summer where I live, so I don't know if the heat has had any impact on the bottle while it was underway. I'll try to give the juice some time wear it a few more times before making my final verdict, but if the scent doesn't change, I think I'll have to axe this bottle from my collection...

This juice lasts ages & just never goes away until you take a shower. To my nose it is a peppery vetiver & smells like a much more high end version of "Bang" by Marc Jacobs, which has been discontinued. Bang, only lasted 1 hour maximum on my skin. Vetiver Wild, lasts 12 hours and is far superior in quality. I am glad that I bought this bottle at a great price from Fragrancebuy in Canada. They ship to the USA very fast. It took 4 days to get to Connecticut from Canada. IF you like Bang, then this is worth a blind buy.

I agree that lunar vetiver is similar to Roja vetiver but don't compare it to this one. for me bentley is dominated by smoky vetiver. citrus only appears in the opening then vetiver birch and pepper. making this perfume feel dry smoky mixed with earth, this is what you get from this perfume, according to the notes. sillage projection longevity lunar vetiver is better.

if you loved Amouroud lunar vetiver, Terre d'Hermes Eau intense vetiver, tom ford grey vetiver and guerlain vetiver, its pretty much in line with those with enormous lasting power and added pepper to that lemon verbena, its niche quality juice, and for sure is worth the money spent. the bottle is gorgeous 10/10

This fragrance captures so many facets of other vetiver fragrances. It has: - Bitter, green, smoky opening. - Citrusy, woody, powdery (TF gray vetiver) mid. - Then dry woody vetiver again. The overall experience is very dry and masculine. 9/10 I wish a bit more citrusy opening (e.g. grapefruit)

Redline0007, I have the exact same reaction to the opening - it's really savory, like mushrooms that have been sitting in a smoker all day, but it lasted ten minutes and after that it smelled as one would expect based on the notes, really nice vetiver and powdery wood frag.

Looking at the notes, This fragrance is going to be a beast in my opinion.
