Bendito Beso

I tried this by accident and I loved it. It made me smile - it smells of sunscreen cream and salt. The price is a bit high for its longevity but if I get a chance, I'd buy it.

It just smells like sun screen. Most "sea/beach" perfumes either smell like a) cold aftershave Or b) sun screen. Can't remember any exceptions... So, overall: Sun screen, powder, clean cotton with a tiny bit of citrus. I think Lush used to have something similar minus a zero off the price.

It smells like jumping in the shower after a day at the beach! Salt sand sweat sunscreen and water (I feel like there's that slightly chlorinated noted that you get from jumping from salt water to tap water). So nostalgic. Love.

Floral. Just one word. Its not tipically my type of a fragrance but I get it as a present from great perfume lover just as me :) If you are up to beautiful clean floral fragrances, go for it!

Watery white floral without the 'marine' aspect. Fun, easy clean beach scent.

This is a flashback to the 90s where clean "aquatic" was all the rage. Very reminiscent of CK One, Issay Miyake Summer, Aqua Di Gio types. Heavy on the citrus opening, loads of sea breeze calone and overdosed on hedione with clean white musks. The opening projects quite beastly for the first hour, but then subdued to a nice mellow cleanliness. Kinda redundant to own in my opinion, we had this phase of fragrances already. It's nice to own for a gym scent or just a basic grab for running errands in the summertime. But I won't be re-buying this once it runs out (if it even runs out, I won't reach for it much)

Why is this so familiar. I’ve smelt this before. Bendito Beso unlocked a past memory for me upon first sniff. I smiled and immediately became quite fond of the smell. Looking back at the other comments I suppose it could be a sunscreen, a time and place, mom’s makeup or fragrance back in the day, or a day at the beach. It is projecting magnificently for a perfume of a marine, aquatic genre. It does lean a little on the early 90s-2000 vibe of perfumes at that time (I don’t want to scare people away by saying vintage) but it VERY FAMILIAR if you get my drift. Immediately I checked the price of a full bottle and said no, not yet. Tad pricey, but if it was warranted I’d shell out no questions asked. This one is a firm like. We hit it off immediately but... Not a love just yet.

I had the chance to try this one the other day. It smelled so great on paper strip and hence purchased a sample. While it smelled very uplifting sweet citrusy on paper, kind of like a tropical cocktail, I experienced something else on skin. On my skin this smells aquatic and musky with some floral undertones. The cedar is quite prominent as well. I would recategorise it as woody aquatic. Is it worth the money? Well, I have never been into aquatic fragrances and notes myself, so definitely not for me. I suspect this one is not really bringing in anything unique to that arena either. I have faint memories of Calvin Kleins smelling like this (Probably due to the 'hedione').

100% Ambre Solaire Oil (60s/70s when it still had a bit of punch). Love it. So many memories in a single sniff. Roker Beach 1967, mums slathering Ambre Solaire on with hands smelling of chips and vinegar, yet still the fragrance held it's own... people throwing off their business suits, becoming lunch hour socialites and Studiio 54 wannabes, roasting gently by the Serpentine in the long hot summer of '76. That note, the one I have yearned for for decades long, can only be Hedione. Looking for another bank to turn over as my perfume piggy bank has committed suicide. Benedito Beso will be the ruination of me.

The jasmine is divine and the musky base comes thru very creamy and decadent. Beautiful. Glad I got it. A perfect summer morning, right out of the shower scent.

Waaay too much seaweedy beach foliage for me, but has a nice aquatic, salty element. A little secretions magnifique esque...
