Wild Herbs & Tonka Bean

My first ever review on Fragrantica, hooray! Found this in a small cosmetics store, and like with all interesting perfumes (or beautiful bottles) decided to try it out. To say that I was impressed, is an understatement. Genuinely a wonderful perfume, with a fresh opening and calm, little bit sweet ending. Longevity is not there, but it’s a perfect fit for gym for me!

I own quite a few different fragrances. None of which my girlfriend ever comments on. This one however... Every single time I wear it she says how much she loves it! And I have to say, for the price this really is a great everyday fragrance.

It's a really airy perfume, very inobtrusive while at the same time still noticeable and pleasant. It's one of my favourites!

I'm really glad Fragrantica have put this brand and collection on the site, the smaller brands deserve it. Before I review the fragrance itself, I have to praise the bottle design - a beautiful cyan - and a bottle with some heft. Great atomiser too. So Wild Herbs and Tonka Bean is a unique fragrance; it's not a dupe of anything and doesn't remind me of anything. It has a beautiful opening where the rosemary and citrus fruits combine well and will make you feel fresh and uplifted. It goes through it's life cycle pretty quickly and settles into a sweet tonka bean. I love it but sadly longevity and projection are moderate at best. You'll need to spray more than you would a standard designer fragrance but it's incredibly cheap so that's not an issue. Also, there's a body spray version that can augment performance. I'll be taking this on holiday as it's perfect for a warm summer day. Absolutely unisex too. Phenomenal. 9/10.
