Betseyfied

I found this gem at SDM today for $19.99 and I had never heard of it. I must say that 1) Thank God for data on my phone hahaha (I’ve only had data for a few months) and second thank GOD for Fragrantica and all my fellow fragrance addicts and lovers out there :) so I quickly jumped on here and was like oh cool this is relatively new-just last year. I know with my Shoppers anyways they get a shipment every week for their “cheap shelf” I hate calling it that-let’s say The Inexpensive Shelves, sometimes it’s more than just the $19.99 sometimes it’s several shelves so ya know!! Because that shelf is full of things closed that most stores won’t let you touch/open I was going to blind buy it. THEN my gal, the manager of the store I go to who is hands down the BEST cosmetics manager of any store I’ve ever been not just shoppers I’m talking ANY STORE!!! We have such a great connection and relationship ! Anyways-my review!!! This is really lovely! It’s bright, fresh and floral, citrus and sweet from the berry notes and then it has a depth to it that isn’t over bearing it’s absolutely perfect for the right type of person-which honestly I think it would make a great blind buy for any woman any age-that could be my attitude towards fragrances though, I always say that if YOU love it, if YOU wanna spend the money and buy it, then YOU wear it, no matter the season, the reason or time of day or night-it’s YOURS and you rock it!!! That being said it is geared more as a spring summer but that doesn’t stop me, EVER!!!!! If you can get this I suggest snatch it up! Cute bottle that has a little almost necklace on it with a really heavy weighted lightning bolt which is really cute! The rest of the bottle isn’t extraordinary or extravagant but it doesn’t need to be!!! Love this!!

I picked this up randomly at Ross and pleasantly surprised. It’s perfectly balanced between sweet and floral. I love it since I can’t stand floral scents that are way too powerful and drown out any other notes. Definitely don’t get musk at all from it.

i bought this on clearance at big lots a few years ago. it was only a couple bucks because the bottle leaked horribly and melted the box so bad it was sticking to the outer plastic shell and the logo was almost unidentifiable, lol. maybe it's because soooo much of it leaked, but it smelled like there was something wrong with it the second i pried open the packaging, and it still kinda does. i spent so long cleaning that bottle just to never wear it, and honestly i'm still a little scared of it, but whenever i catch a whiff of a reasonable amount of it i really like it! it just.. does smell like a weird sweet chemical fire in very large quantities, to me. like if you poured soap on gummy candies and lit them up. but tbh i might be kinda into that? edit: sucked it up and tried it out; it smelled like a chemical fire when i sprayed it, too. i was a bit worried there WAS something really wrong with it, but it dried down fine. i agree with everyone else's take: it's okay. was hoping it would smell sweeter on me, but that's probably just my own skin

I picked this up as a blind-buy at my local superstore .. a big, 100mL/3.4oz bottle for like, $20. Top is well-blended citrusy berries and a bit of something green. Midphase is pretty much as described by the pyramid and is floral-dominated. I’m extremely picky about florals and how they’re presented. They’re nice here .. again, more green than I would’ve thought but not loud or aggressive. The drydown is warm, mellow, and sweet. Based on the notes, I definitely see the similarities to VLJ. I don’t have the original VLJ for a side-by-side comparison, but I remember that I enjoyed the overall vibe and idea of VLJ but just couldn’t get on with the sharp, saccharine, loudness of it. Betseyfied is an easier wear and lacks some of that “juvenile,” loud quality of VLJ. (It doesn’t lack all of it, though. It’s still there...) Not great on longevity with one spray, but 4-5 sprays gets you to a good place. I’m glad I bought it!

I was at Wal-Mart recently, and found a full size bottle for twenty dollars so I blind bought it. This actually reminds me a lot of the Betsey Johnson perfume released in 2006 - My sister owned that one. Don't know if the perfume smells the same now as it did back then, but I remember thinking it was a nice fragrance. Okay, so back to Betseyfied - The Berries in the top blend with the Gardenia and Jasmine (the notes I noticed most on my skin) to create a nice Fruity floral fragrance - In the far dry down I really could smell the Amber and Vanilla. I didn't detect much Patchouli, unfortunately. Though this shares a lot of notes to Viva La Juicy, I don't personally find this to smell like it. Performance isn't bad - I got a good 6 hours wear. Lasts well on clothing too.

I love the scent, almost candy-sweet fruit and berries. The florals round it out and bring it some depth. It's gorgeous. I think it's well suited to spring and summer day-wear. It doesn't project much and is all but undetectable after a couple of hours. Some have compared it to VLJ and it would be in the same family as a few of them like Gold Coutour and Noir, not just the original. If you like those you would like this one. They are more expensive but project and last longer so it's all relative. This is a cheapie that is really yummy and if performance were better it would be an absolute love.

Betseyfied XOX would be fantastic if only it was more detectable. This scent is so light and fleeting, it disappears within 30 minutes no matter how much you spray. This opens as a sweet, peppery, fruity floral, and dries down to a soft vanilla musky powder. I wear this only around the house because it is so weak that I am constantly respraying, and the bottle is simply too big and heavy to carry. The bottom of my bottle says this is an eau de parfum, and I think that must be a joke. Although this does smell lovely, it’s weaker than any body spray I own.

I got this as a gift because I love Betsey Johnson. It's a non offensive, generic white floral with fruity and the slightest bit of citrus. I like it, but it's just okay. I don't reach for it, well, ever, but when I remember it exists, I try and use it. It's always just a safe, forgettable fragrance. The bottle is pretty boring too, but I do like the lightning bolt charm. I expected a more unique and fun bottle from BJ though. (And a fragrance to match!) Longevity was just okay and sillage was close to skin-slight aura around you, depending.

This is a nice agreeable scent. It’s prominent in the berries ,citrus , honeysuckle and gardenia. So it smells like a syrupy sweet berry glaze with a slight sparkling texture that comes from the gardenia and citrus. it projects like a shampoo. It’s nice not super noticeable but if you get a whiff through a gust of air, it’s pleasant. This is more of a skin scent but it wears for around 6 hours on me . I like it tbh it kind of has a grapey sent that reminds me of of Swiss Arabian Casa Blanca. I’d say this is kind of a toned down version.

A sweet Gourmand with Citrus, Caramel, Woods and Florals. A bit like an un-lit Cigar or Pipe Tobacco. Spritz too much, and there's a dish soap accord. Great on an Autumn night, spritzed on a fluffy blanket while cozying up with a book. A comfort food of a scent. BUT 2 other people I know have a bad and fast allergic reaction to it. It really is best as a use-at-home-by-yourself scent for this reason.

I bought this in a 3 travel spray set at TJ Maxx for $13 which is a great deal for a 15ml set. I prefer getting the smallest amount for blind buys if I can. I tested all 3 when I got home but haven't fully worn them out yet. I was presently surprised with this one and thought I wouldn't like it, but it's a nice basic fruity floral.

This is nice, it's not pretending to be anything else than what it is. A cutesy, light, fluffy fragrance. It's sweet, fruity, fresh, lactonic, and a little salty. This really reminds me of the scent of brown sugar in the drydown. This is a nice choice for someone who doesn't take everything seriously.

I think it would be a great gym fragrance

This isn't bad but it's highly forgettable. I never reach for this and when I do, I am always amazed that I can never recall it in the first place! Peculiar. The bottle is lackluster. The sillage is lackluster. It's very average. It's just SO very ... Okay. Which is not what I want in my fragrances. I want the whole experience. Especially if I am paying. For $20 however I wouldn't feel this would be a bad investment for a teenager.

I share the same thoughts as all the other reviewers. It’s an OKAY fragrance; that a fashion line as loud as Betsey’s could come out with such an uninspired fragrance is a head scratcher to me. Anyway it’s light and inoffensive enough for the office which might work for me.

The Pretty n Punk is alot better than this, smells more expensive than this one, even though it's not super unique. I bought this one a few months ago at Walmart for 20 and had to return it because the composition just smelled really off on my skin. The opening is nice but as it settles it doesnt blend well with my chemistry. The body mist of this one though is a different story, it smells really good on me, and differently than the perfume.. It made me buy the perfume thinking it'll be more long lasting, but the perfume smelled like a completely different scent. I was so disappointed when I got home and tried it on, I was like "but the mist is amazing, what happened". It was weird. Its still not unique, but a very nice fruity floral and ambery scent, Id say very alluring. So before you spend 20 on this one, try the body mist first. I love the body mist.

This is so light and undetectable it’s sad! Even with like 10 sprays I can’t smell it at all unless I dig my nose into my shirt. It smells nice but it’s not worth it. Really disappointed! I’ll probably wear it to work or other scent sensitive places where you aren’t technically supposed to wear perfume because it’s literally something no one will be able to smell unless they stick their face in your shirt lol!

I purchased this in July 2019 at Marshall's I searched for a year before this popped up anywhere online. It's so weird. I know that there were body spray versions of this before 2020 too. I like this scent and I'm so happy to finally get to see what the notes are. It's a pleasant scent, not a super special fruity/gourmand/floral scent though. Luckily it's inexpensive and as such it's fun to play with.

Marshmallowy, Hawaiian punchy, gone within an hour, but my dog really likes the way it smells.
