Pretty n' Punk

I received this perfume in a bundle lot with a few others because I really wanted another perfume in the set, but I have to say I absolutely love this one! First off, the bottle is really cute. It’s a faux leather material that feels sturdy and heavy. I like the bow too, its such a nice touch. I was worried about what it would smell like because there were so many notes that I thought it would be really overwhelming, but it’s surprisingly well balanced. I get a bit of spice from the pepper in the initial spray but it dries down so such a lovely floral fruit scent. Definitely captures the essence of being feminine with a bit of edge and depth, too. Someone said that it’s Reminiscent of Hawaiian Fruit Punch with edge and I think it’s accurate, But I still love the scent. I have the matching body mist and will layer both scents so it lasts longer. I’ve worn this to work a few times and I’ve gotten compliments on it. It lasts at least 4 noticeable hours on me, and has great projection. It is a great everyday perfume but would also work for any occasion. I definitely don’t have anything similar to it in my collection so this is one of my favorites. I’ll definitely be repurchasing this one.

Gorgeous!! It's floral while being sweet and deep! I think this definitely fits into the "sexy" category. I got this out of a paper sample after ordering a fragrancenet.com perfume and after rubbing it on my wrist...I knew it smelled similar to something that I had smelled before but I couldn't put my finger on it. This smells (not like a dupe) but 75% similar to Nicole Richie's debut perfume and also similar to Calvin Klein "Euphoria" for women. More like Nicole Richie's perfume though. Only difference is the florals and sweet notes aren't identical but all 3 of them have this "Floral, yet woody, yet sweet" scent to them. On another note...this would be a good "beginner patchouli" perfume with it's versatile, not-overbearing smell. Same goes for Nicole Richie. It has a "candied patchouli" sort of smell and doesn't come off as too much, or dusty. The patchouli just "deepens" the sweet notes if you know what I mean without giving it an "earthy" tone like Jessica Simpson "Fancy Nights." Overall I really love this scent! It's the first I've ever smelled from this house. Longevity - About 4-5 hours. Projection - About 3 feet. Overall Score - 9/10

I just bought this beauty. The bottle is okay, a lot of product for the price which is awesome, Wearing this I smelled something familiar, good, but I couldn't put my finger on it, then it hit me. There is a note that strongly resembles my beloved escada moon sparkle, but it's complimented with a little more of a mature and edgy sandalwood and patchouli. True to its name pretty, but also edgy and sexy Just beautiful, really happy with this one!

This scent really does capture the essence of pop punk. It's sweet and fun with some edge and depth, too. I can't get enough of it! The cardamom and pepper just work so well with the fruits and florals to give this scent attitude and spirit. I think what really makes this scent come together though is the orchid. So musky and sweet. Perfection, man. Perfection. Makes me wanna go play my guitar.

Patchouli scented raspberry jelly donuts. I flippin' love it!! Love Betsey and her fragrances are fun, light hearted, whimsical, girlie and sexy.

It's okay, but I don't want to wear it often because I don't like the first half (or so) hour of it due to the sweetness, mostly the combination of pear, freesia, and praline. It smells similar to an Avon I have that isn't listed in this database called Ultra Sexy Lace. Not bad, just not inspirational or unique in any way.

I like this! It's sugary but not too much because of the florals and patchouli. This is fresh too. It's not bad to have in your rotation. I would wear this any time of year.

Walmart has the set of 3.4 EDP and the mist for 30, great deal. I dont need to buy it tho cuz its opening is a total dupe of Mad About You by B&BW which I have and after 30 mins it reminds me of Forbidden Euphoria and Mon Paris mixed together and I no longer like these two. It is not juvenile, not flirty and I wouldnt wear this around my guy or on a date. Its sophisticated tho so Id wear this to work, so I dont turn it down but I have a dupe of Mon Paris already and Mad About You so I dont really need this. It makes me feel mature and serious, not sure if I like this feeling and Id wear it in the winter. I dont get Viva La Juicy at all, none of the editions. The mist and the EDP last for hours on me and I was impressed with the longevity of the body mist. Update: after trying on I Love Juicy Couture Juicy Couture, I think they could be considered cousins. All these patchouli based perfumes give me Mon Paris vibes, more or less. I'd go for this one though cuz the bottle is so beautiful.

It's good, but there's nothing innovative about it. It smells similar to quite a few other fragrances. If you have an extensive collection you should probably skip this one.

These are notes from a paper sample, so take it with a grain of salt. It seems pretty typical -- fruit, flowers, patchouli, praline, a bit of spice, a bit of resin. After a half hour it got really clean and soapy I've never known peony to overtake a fragrance but it seems to be doing so on my skin. Sadly it is a bland peony and it is not making me want to try the juice more.

I bought this in a 3 travel spray set at TJ Maxx for $13 which is a great deal for a 15ml set. I prefer getting the smallest amount for blind buys if I can. I tested all 3 when I got home but haven't fully worn them out yet. Unfortunately this was my least favorite of the 3 and I was looking forward to it the most. I will have to come back to this one. ☹️

Blegh, obnoxious dark berry and patchouli. Reminds me of some kind of overly scented cleaner. Not a fan.

Spicy attack flowers. Radiates an aura of migraine.

I've had this for many months , placed it in the back of my perfume cabinet . I was looking for something else as I move them around by my vanity as I feel rotation is important when you have over 120 scentuals . I have slowed down on my purchases as I can't justify those I'll never wear due to body changes , which I have at least 30 . I'm not sure why I purchased this , it must have been first the bottle , then the notes , which to my practicing nose are a delight , not for the " faint of heart " . I get right off the top the Madagascar Black Pepper with Patchouli & Praline , it takes about 20 minutes or so to get the " joy " of Sandalwood , White Musk and Vanilla with Orchid . I don't get until at least an hour of wear any other floral vibes , it does seem to matter the weather , if just a slight " chill " in the air little to none , if a bit more breezy , I get a slight Jasmine , Lily and Rose , but very slight . I mostly get the MBP at all times , it is a nice change from my normal , Rose , Oudh , Patchouli and Musky preferences . I'll be totally honest here and also say this is my first Betsey Johnson , so I have none to compare . This reminds me of similar scent which I can't place , it always " escapes " right when I think I know . I'll continue to wear , as I do enjoy . It is strong on first spritz , so I only do 2 . I don't get the Indian Pear or Juicy Red Cherries . I've never had a perfume be so strong when first spritzing , but by an hour or so , it is barely there { on me } but others can smell . I have actually had people when passing ask what was I wearing , more than a few were surprised when I named BJ , and when I said the name , a few laughed saying the name { Pretty N Punk } fits her style and quirkiness . I got mine for about $ 40.00 for the 3.4 ounce bottle , it has risen in price more than a few dollars , $ 60.00 cheapest and $100.00 at the highest price point ~ Is it worth it , I'd do a sample if can , just to be on the safe side , this might not be to another's taste , but if you don't like " smelling like everyone else " you might give it a buy ~ ///=^} ~

I got this from a paper sample, so take that into account. This perfume strikes me as fun and fitting the packaging somehow, and it definitely smells like the descriptions--a fruity floral gourmand, on the fun and juicy fruity but also a bit darker side, a bit sultry and flirty with the sweet notes and bit of spice. It strikes me as more of a fuchsia pink than the lighter or brighter pink some other scents in that fruity floral gourmand category strike me as. The scent is more fruity, with a blast of fruits melded together (I believe there's cherry, citrus, raspberry, and pear, but I can't pick them out, they all sort of meld together into a juicy "red fruits" sort of scent) when I rubbed it on my skin than it was on the paper itself, but it quickly dries down to give the same effect, fruit and sweetness given a bit more gourmand of a tone by praline and spice, over woods and especially patchouli. It's definitely a sweet and thick and almost gourmand patchouli that won't scare the horses, though. I don't really get the spice as a distinct entity but I can definitely feel and smell its influence on the scent. The thing about this scent is that I feel like I've smelled it before; it was very familiar as soon as I smelled it and I felt like I knew exactly how it would progress, too. It's a bright, fun, candied fruit patchouli with a little spice and I do think it is a bit on the fun-sultry side, but it's definitely not innovative, unusual, or new--I feel like it wouldn't necessarily be obvious you were wearing this perfume and not one of the others that smells like it. I like it and I think it smells fun, especially if you like cute, girly, fruity patchouli, but it definitely fits into a "type" of fragrances. Also, I think it would probably be a bit much on a hot day; it's quite sweet.

Really pretty, sultry perfume. It's deep, dark, mysterious. I smell florals, sandalwood and raspberry. It also has a warm praline vibe going on. The fruit note is the least prominent - the florals and woody notes are in charge. I also smell orchid, even though it isn't listed as a note. It smells like it could be a CK Euphoria flanker. It's like Euphoria with patchouli, praline and raspberry added. Personally I hate the bottle, it's very tacky and brash looking and it would ruin the aesthetics of my perfume collection.

I got this at Ross in a set along with betseyfied and Betsey Johnson 15 ml, and it's hard to assess any one of them without the others, because they all smell pretty much the same to me- mainly Hawaiian Punch with hints of super glue, and other stuff in the background. They're all pretty bad on longevity, but especially this one. I don't dislike it by any means, and I can imagine it being somebody's signature scent, but I doubt I'll wear it much.

This fruity vanilla sweet girly scent, lot of rasberries and pear. It reminded of several fragrances that BBW has. I was actually surprised that it was so similar to so many other fruity gormands. Oh well. Its far too generic for my taste and as of lately I have grown tired of same fruity vanilla stuff that so perfume makers keep recycling over and over again. Its a nice scent but nothing you have not seen before numerous times.

If you enjoy the other Betsey Johnson with the praline, you'll probably like this too! I prefer Pretty in Punk. It is a little more restrained. The patchouli adds depth without taking away from the fun. It still has sparkle too it, but it feel more weighted and wearable.

Digging that bottle. Her perfumes are fun and the price range is good, will definetely get this one.
