Cé Lumière

I own the mini bottle of this with no atomizer, which came as a duo with Ce Noir along with a free travel spray of Ce Lumiere! Before I get into the scent itself, I just want to comment how cool the travel spray is! It’s flat and square with a very good atomizer, made of plastic so it fits easily in any travel cosmetic bag so I don’t have to worry about glass breaking. For the scent itself, I haven’t tried Ce Noir so I’m not going to compare these two. I don’t really like patchouli, but this scent has really changed my mind. The mandarin, patch and rhubarb blend very well to get this soft, comforting yet luxurious green scent. The color profile I get from this is definitely green and gold, the symbolism of a velvet green dress with gold accents and jewelry. On my skin, the patchouli and fruity citrus is more heavy in the opening, and the drydown features the musk, rhubarb and jasmine. I don’t get a prominent pepper note but that might be in some subtle spiciness in the opening. Unisex and cold weather oriented. As a male, I would wear this almost all occasions. Also @CateCate I think it’s a given that people who enjoy Beyoncé would buy her products and review them, and I can definitely say these are not “fake” reviews as the fragrance is really good. I do find it interesting that you’ve commented on this fragrance twice, and commented on Ce Noir with some kind of negativity towards Beyoncé, without even reviewing the fragrance. Can you say fan behavior! I suggest if you want to just be a hater you can move over to X.

I think Beyonce's Ce Noir and Ce Lumiere have the best atomizers in the fragrance game and I'm not exaggerating. Does this smell good? Yes it smells divine. Does it perform well? No it really doesn't last. I have to bathe myself to get this to project and perform. I think I like the smell of Ce Lumiere more but I prefer the performance of Ce Noir. Ce Noir for me was beast mode. I would spray it on clothes and it would linger for days. They smell similar enough that you dont really need both. If you prefer a stronger honey perfume, go for Ce Noir. If you prefer a softer musky floral patchouli, go with Ce Lumiere.

Hot damnnnnn say no more, Ce lumiere. This is a jasmine scent, front and center, though the flowers do fade into a soft skin frag in time. This is sexy and elegant. Very luminous, a bit green, a bit powdery sweet. Bright and warm at the same time! Something is reading tea-like to me, it’s just so lovely and well rounded. This was a blind buy and I thought it would be a summer work scent but it actually feels more glamorous than that. Would be so hot with a black skirt and heels. I’m a bit unwell about the longevity of this.. Wish it was more powerful to show off!

Similar to its sister scent Cé Noir released last year they both leave you with an expensive and sultry scent that stays on all day! I would say Cé Lumière is my favorite out of the two! I was very excited to try this scent because I really liked Ce Noir. I feel that Ce Lumiere really compliments Ce Noir, it’s a great year-round fragrance and could be worn for any occasion. If you love warm, Jasmine, Amber-y scents then this perfume is for you - it’s “softly spicy” and has a very pretty citrusy floral finish. It lasts long but it’s not too strong either. The scent just embodies elegance and luxury to me, very pretty, I LOVE IT 🥰

I don't know where to get this... it's so frustrating that on the website they only ship to North America. I would have loved smelling like it during Beyoncé's show in Paris. It was wonderful. The only thing that scares me about this fragrance is the longevity being categorised "eternal"...I really prefer fragrances that gently disappear after a few hours because when I perfume myself, I don't need to be smelling it for more than a few hours.

My top 3 releases of 2024 were not winners but I did vote. 1. Amour Infinite (Smells like modern & chic rose petals thinly wrapped in white chocolate) 2. New York Gardenia- Bond No 9 (Classic non indolic, slightly sweet, touch of creaminess, cashmere smooth on a princess pillow of silked white florals) 3. Ce Lumiere- Beyoncé (It's a true flanker to Ce Noir but dialed back. It's like a baby Valaya)

Mine arrived a few hours ago! It’s even better than the first one. I’ve always loved Rhubarb notes in fragrances, it so well done here. I got like 2 compliments today at work. I haven’t worn it that long to comment on the longevity, but it’s been 7 hours now and I can still smell it.

This is a dialed back Ce Noir. Ce Noir is a top 5 for me. I hate patchouli. You don't get it in this. This is in the same scent profile as Valaya. I'm a super soaker so performance wasn't an issue. It's just not beast mode like Ce Noir. I'm happy!

It has a touch of class and is perfect for party nights, it is sexy, It is elegant and classic, it deserves to be everywhere, its aramo gives you class and distinction.

Everything Beyoncé puts out is of excellent quality so not surprised this smells as good as it does. Also last for hourssss. Worth every penny!!!

Most definitely value for money

Beyonce Ce Lumiere smells just like Valaya without the tease of a headache and with an extended peachy-citrusy note with added rhubarb in here, but it doesn't project as well of course. Executed well and one would never guess from the notes! Does anyone else get this comparison? Now I think Beyonce probably wears Valaya and got inspired, but maybe she likes patchouli and decided to amp it ip because that's what I get mostly after an hours wear. In Valaya, the akigalawood that someone's resembles patchouli to me is more woody, while in here the patchouli is a touch more earthy but still serves a similar purpose for this profile, working beautifully.

Pleasantly sweet (but not too much), solar, citrus, powdery, vanilla. It smells quite well rounded, complex. Very feminine, clean. Perfect everyday fragrance. I am pleasantly surprised.

BORING - major let down - a "spicy" version of Musk Santal by Kayali and a boring version of Valaya - this took forever to be easily available, no one realistically will blind buy this when it came out - and good for those who did and it works for you - guess what - you'd also like valaya and musk santal - these are all similar. finally getting the travel spray of this was a good thing - I can return it and check it off my list, as a loss.

So SO strong. Which is great if you love it but I do not. I get like a candy sweetness. Little too chemical. Very rich though.

What can I say about Cé Lumière? Well, the packaging is even more beautiful in Gold, but I was definitely very skeptical about this fragrance when I saw the notes. To my surprise, the reviews were mainly positive. Some people even said they loved Cé Lumière more than Cé Noir, which really piqued my interest. I also noticed that many people weren't reselling their Cé Lumière bottles the way people were with Cé Noir. But I still wasn't ready to commit $160 to a blind buy. Thankfully, someone was willing to let theirs go for a fraction of the cost, and I bought it right away. To my nose, this is very pleasant and refreshing. I'm met with a light, musky, fresh and subtly sweet blend of Jasmine and Italian Mandarin with a hint of Rhubarb. This scent immediately teleports me to the warm spring ahead. If you're not a fan of Jasmine or white florals, then this may not be up your alley because Jasmine is the star of the show in this fragrance. The Patchouli and Black Pepper concerned me, initially, but the Black Pepper is pretty much undetectable to my nose and the Patchouli doesn't really come until the dry down, where it's gently meshed with the Jasmine and Mandarin. The opening of Cé Lumière is very much different compared to Cé Noir, but the dry down is slightly similar to the base of Cé Noir, minus the Rose and Honey. Cé Lumière is a lighter, toned down interpretation of Cé Noir with an amplified Jasmine note that seemed to be absent or overpowered in the original, hence the name, and it's well executed. The performance of Cé Lumière is also lighter, too. I get about 4-5 hours of wear with a moderate sillage that quickly becomes intimate. Once again, is this fragrance worth $160+? To me, no. But it's definitely worth the reduced price I paid and a well done flanker. I'm very curious as to what Act iii's fragrance will be like.

A fresh citrusy, spicy, perfectly unisex scent. This is DENSE, and smells quality. This makes me think of red or white painted nails and toes, a revealing sundress, and red lipstick. I can also picture this on a man in linen shorts and a nice crisp buttoned shirt with manicured nails. Either way I need a bottle of white wine, sparkling water and a boat in Greece . 😊

Sweet, powdery, bright. This is MILES better than Ce Noir. Leans very feminine. Concentration is crazy it stays on the skin for HOURS. Projection is moderate to shy

This is that same dirty earthy jasmine that is in deja vu white flower by kayali. Not impressed
