Heat

Someone I know received this as a christmas present and didn't like it, so they gave it to me in trade for one of my least used scents in my collection. I was quite shocked when I first smelt this because to me it doesn't quite capture Beyonce's image. What I mean by this is that it smells extremely mature, something that women in their late 30's-early 40's would wear. I have smelt this on many middle aged women and it suits them the most. The disappointing thing is that Beyonce's fan base is pretty much all ages, and to have a scent this mature is kind of a bummer for those expecting something that they'd expect Beyoncè would wear. For my opinion, I do quite enjoy wearing Heat. If I am ever feeling a bit mature and going out to some fancy restaurant, Heat would be something i'd go for. Definitely for nighttime wear, but feel free to wear it during a hot day too. I swear I could smell some sort of plum note in it, because I get that similar sharp smell in Katy Perry's 'Killer Queen' and 'LouLou', however I assume that is the peach and amber notes mixed together. I rate this a 7/10. I am more of a sweet vanilla/candy loving perfume buyer, however this perfume was definitely a pass for me. When I first started getting into the fragrance world I did start off with mature scents so maybe that is why I love this one so much. My suggestion if you didn't like heat is to test out 'Heat Rush' and 'Heat Wild Orchid', which are both also endorsed by Beyoncè. Not only are they both on the more sweeter, youthful side, but they are much softer compared to this one which I noticed some people did complain about how strong Heat is. The packaging however is a better representation of Beyoncè rather than the scent itself, very powerful imagery and pure sexiness.

That's probably my favorite fragrance. I've gone through 3 bottles of the bigger size already. No matter how many fragrances i own, sometimes i give this a rest, but I always come back to it. I find it so sexy and classy, but also youthful and reachable (not one of those fragrances that you save it for special moments or are afraid that won't suit the place or event). For me, this is my go-to scent. I don't get the notes separately as i get with other fragrances, also, this is very linear on my skin. What i think i feel is a perfect concoction of peach, amber, tonka bean and orchid, with a hint of almonds. It is indeed SWEET. Imagine the feeling of drinking a peach liqueur with almonds, while surrounded by Orchids. After a while, it gets warmer with the amber, and the other flowers starts to show a little bit more. I honestly don't get any hint of any Rihanna fragrance on this one, as said sometimes on other comments (and i ADORE Rebelle and Reb'l Fleur). This one is brighter, fruitier, while rebelle and reb'l fleur are darker (with the coffee, and the cacao and the coconut). I share the same concerns regarding the sillage of this one. The longevity is quite good on my skin and clothes, but the sillage is kinda disappointing. It fills the room at first, but after an hour or so, only someone sitting close to you will be able to sniff it (what may be a problem to those of you who wants to exhale fragrance all the time). Projects more on warmer weather, for obvious reasons. Overall, i think this could be a nice blind buy unless you don't like sweet scents, cause this is rather safe. Love it.

I don’t get all the negative reviews on this perfume. I never used to wear perfume or anything until I was around 13 I brought Beyoncé’s 4 album and in it was a small sample of Heat. I tried it and instantly fell in love i’d never smelled anything like it at the time, it had no similarities to any of the fragrances anyone in my family wore or any of my friends at school wore. It was spicy, it was sexy, it was musky. I literally begged my mom to get me a bottle for Christmas (which she did) and I sprayed it everyday with Abandon. I loved the confident feeling that came with it when I sprayed it on I used to feel like Beyonce herself going into class lol. Heat opens with a warm peach and some soft spices and the opening of the fragrance really does match the name as it’s very hot. I think the vanilla orchid and magnolia blend smoothly with the almond macaroons buts it’s definitely the base of the notes like the amber and the musk that make this what it is. Lasting power isn’t great about 4 hours if I overspray. Over the years I’ve gone through all sizes from 15mls to 100mls of this and the body lotion is just to die for I think that might smell bette than the perfume itself if I’m honest lol. Sadly this is getting harder to find like the rest of her fragrance line and the prices seem to be creeping on up slightly online so I’m praying this hasn’t been discontinued. Coty annoy me by making great celebrity fragrances such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Kylie and Katy Perry then discontinuing them even though they sell better than most.

Warning! This is not a PG13 review =) To start off, if u wanna understand what this perfume is all about, u should definitely watch Beyonce's Baby Boy video... that should have been this perfumes advertisement! Now back to the Perfume itself - WoW...where to start? I just received it today and it took my breath away from the 1st whiff. This is not just a celebs over priced "sweet water" this is so much more... and just when u think u have it figured out it changes again. Its such a chameleon! It oozes sexuality, lust and desire. It makes u feel like a goddess... frisky, adventurous and hottttttt! Mmm... it smells like a passionate night with the love of your life. It starts off sweet and fruity but soon enough it morphs into a deep rich hot ambery, musky, nutty cocktail. It goes almost from a fruity female scent to a sweet musky male perfume when transitioning from it's top to middle to base notes. I must say i had my moments of doubt with this perfume given that it was a purely blind buy and usually celeb perfumes have such a divided view point. Some ppl love it and others loathe it. But i am more than happy with my new purchase. This is not a safe buy and i'd urge u to try it out before committing to it. Give it time... let it get to know u, and work with your body's chemistry before writing it off. It's a truly wonderful and unique blend. Go on... I absolutely love this one!! I blind bought it based on the notes, plus it was ridiculously cheap for a full size bottle. Super happy with it, I would say it's a pretty safe bet. At first I get a SUPER fruity punch to the nose. Boozy, juicy peach right at the beginning. Then it goes through this weird transition where I get major Hugo Boss Deep Red vibes... which I dont understand lol, maybe its the fruit and the evergreen notes?? Plus the neroli giving a little citrusy hint? Its not bad at all, I just find it funny! Then it quickly continues on to fruity floral. I get the peach, lots of magnolia, neroli, honeysuckle, and the sequoia. The tonka and amber are playing in the background with the macaroon. Then it dries down to a musky woodsy amber, and the macaroon and almond are more noticeable at this point. It takes on a slightly unisex vibe well into the drydown. Definitely a sexy scent, and it smells really good in warm weather or with a little sweat. I will definitely be keeping this in my collection, especially for the price! Another note: sillage is decent, longevity is okay. Initially it fades pretty quick, but that just gives me the opportunity to reapply, which I don't mind because I'm kind of addicted to it! After a few applications throughout the day, I still smell it when I wake up the next morning. And for $15 a bottle, you can spray all day (:

I think this one gets dismissed too quickly... it does go on loud, juicy and syrupy, like a "typical celeb fragrance", so many probably declare it "a scrubber" instantly, without giving it a chance. Yes, the first 2-5 minutes is a tart, syrupy, saccharine peach. But, endure... for what is to come can be well worth it! The middle, to me, retains the juicy peach, but softens it. A creamy, powdery orchid helps with the softening, and I can *just* feel the warm white flower in the honeysuckle. I suppose the tonka, almond and macarons serve to keep the experience still very gourmand, at this point... but that impression will soon exit. The looooong, dramatic, glorious drydown will play on my skin for 8+ hours if I let it... and I will! The amber/ musk combo reads as the absolute *perfect* animalic yet "clean skin" musk... and I am a fool for a good musk. This is not something I was expecting from this perfume. This perfect musk is not only warm, creamy and skin-like... but fizzy, somehow! Oh, it is addicting. This amazing, unique musk will still be on my skin, loud and proud, the next morning. I expected spicy syrup from something called "Heat" made by Beyonce... what I got is something peachy, creamy, warm, musky and... fizzy? It is certainly mysterious. I love it!

I'm not quite sure why this perfume has so many dislikes? Anyway, I love this perfume. I bought Heat Rush before this which I also love, but I find Heat to be her older, more elegant older sister. As a 23 year old, I find it suits me better. It isn't as complex as a high end perfume, but for a cheap celebrity perfume I think it's great. I'd recommend it to anyone that is a fan of the sweet/fruity celebrity trend and enjoys giving off an exotic aroma. This definitely falls in the tropical smelling range and reminds me of a fruit cocktail before drying down to a sensual amber. I'd say this is flirty rather than sexy, so you can wear Heat during the day or night. However, sillage is quite strong so you only need a few sprays - I spray on my wrists, chest, behind my ears and once on my clothing. Lasting power is all day; I sprayed it at 10am and the scent was still on my wrist at 9pm! The dry down is a creamy vanilla which is comforting. Because it begins fruity and drys down to a creamy base, I would wear this perfume both during the summer and the winter. It works extremely well, both in the cold and well, erm... heat ;) Final Verdict: 8/10 - a fruity/sweet exotic mix that lasts long, at an affordable price.

Heat is stunning - it's made for my skin! When I first spray it, I don't like the top notes very much. It smells like a pungent mango body spray for a few minutes. Then, suddenly, I'm surrounded by sultry magnolia and peach. After around 1/2 hour, this is one of the most beautiful fragrances ever...I did not expect this! It smells of heady honeysuckle, and something amazing that seems like a balance of toasted coconut, tonka, and amber. I can't think of another fragrance that smells anything like Heat, which makes me especially enjoy it. My chemistry tends to take well to "warmer" fragrances and make their deeper notes bloom, so I love having a fragrance that has such unusual basenotes. On my skin honeysuckle in a fragrance is the first thing to disappear on me, but in Heat it lasts throughout the 6-8 hour wear. I think the bottle is outstanding, gorgeous and I love it. For me Heat is one of those special scents that has come along every once in a while, reawakening my interest in exploring new fragrances, and reminding me why I've always been obsessed with perfume.

I love this perfume, so this review may be biased. Upon the first spray I smell orchid, musk, tonka, honeysuckle, wood, and a touch of amber. I don’t smell the peach note at all for some reason. The dry down is a soft, pretty orchid / musk combination. This scent has a lovely way of unfolding on the skin, but is much more rich when sprayed on clothes. I usually go with two sprays, but have to reapply 3-4 hours later, so the longevity isn’t ideal. However, if you use 4 or more sprays, it is very intense, and for me projected over 6 feet. To me this scent is a lovely floral with a bit of spice, is mature and sexy, and isn’t like the standard white floral old-school fragrances. I think it’s a fairly safe blind buy, since it’s affordable ( you can get a full size bottle on Amazon for $20.) My only complaints are that the bottle is difficult to hold (though the small 1 ounce bottle is much easier to use), and the lid falls off a lot. I do wish it lasted longer as well. Still, Heat has become one of my all time favorite fragrances!

The longevity in this line that I purchased 9 years ago and at the time thinking I might like the fragrances in the Heat collection, is more or less zilch on me.. Heat isn't such a bad fragrance but it reminds me of so many others in my collection. I would fathom a guess that is the general idea. Celebrity fragrances reflecting the and or pushing the flavour of the month. I have several unused flacons in various sizes and will most likely sell my collection eventually. I have to get them out of storage first. It's sweet and a little spicy not too loud nor is it something memorable. My skin just seems to eat this one up. The presentation of the flacons is wonderful. Lovely colour and tower like vessels. If one is partial to her fragrances then wait until they go on sale as they usually do especially here, one can snap up a 100 mill flacon for 15.00 $ aus. I don't dislike the fragrance. I am disappointed in the longevity. That's just me..I prefer to be less ephemeral in olfactory senses.

I had a small bottle of this when it first came out, my Sons Father bought it for me as a gift. I wasn't a die hard Beyoncé fan, so I was confused until I smelled it. Wow! Musky/floral/luscious/tasty/amber/YUM! Almost 10 years later, I said hey, why not get a full size now that its so inexpensive. My only complaint is the 3.3oz is hard to hold in one hand and spray, so it is a bit awkward however the bottle is very pretty. I always felt somewhat like I could taste this perfume in a way, I think its the almond and peach notes. I think the sequoia gives it a salivary quality as well, and is a wonderful wood smell. At the base you are left with a musky amber. It is a luscious fragrance I've always liked, and it seems to read the reviews a person either loves or hates it. I've always gotten compliments and my Husband loves it! Never would have tried it if my Sons Father wouldn't have given it to me as a gift, so if you want something they guys will like, this may be it!

What I love about growing up is when your preference changes and you start opting for something more “different”. Which is exactly my journey with this perfume. My aunt gave this to me when I was around 13-14 and totally hated the scent because it’s more of a “mature lady” sweet rather than “cutesy” sweet, so ofc I kept it in my drawer until I found it again today (I am now 22) I still have a lot of this left, probably used 1/4 of it back then and I believe that much amount will last me a long time (yay). This is a really sweet juice for a fine lady, it has the perfect mixture of fruity, floral, and oriental notes. It smells expensive and the dry down is really interesting, it smells like powdery honey. As a generic peach scent enjoyer, I never found that peach note anywhere but you really get a good “fruit” impression; nonetheless, I’m obsessed with it that I don’t even care on what time and season I’ll wear it. I just spray it on because it’s lovely.

Its been a few years since i owned this and i had given it away only because i was fed up with the lack of longevity. Recently ive gotten a few others from the heat line but kept putting off replacing the origional because i felt that it just isnt worth replacing, despite actually loving the smell of it. Orchid, peach and almond are most prominent on me. They had a gift pack with 30ml edp, a shower gel and cream for 25 bucks so i thought " What the hell" and grabbed it. I still love it regardless of the scathing reveiws it gets the opening reminded me of those peach flavoured zappo chew lollies we get in oz, then that dies down to a creamy almondy orchid with a slight woodiness. Yum. Im so not regretting this one at all, i recently got heat ultimate elixir, and that is reeeaaallly amazing, but tbh i actually really like that strong sweet peach note in this one that most people hate. I dont care, i love this one

The "heat is on" - and - why didn't I buy two, or three bottles of this magic water when I had the chance to do so? I only costed me 5 dollars, it's nkr 49,-, bought last summer, unsniffed because of the covid, l was thinking of giving it a try, l have been so scared to test it, because l thoght it was full of spices, which l'm usually so very allergic to, but, this "heat" means something else...... This "heat" is more like "Disco Inferno" - get sweattty - move your hips - and shake your body - it's so very late friday tonight, and I had some bubbles in my glass, and, l finally deared to test this perfume; yes, there is the peach, and amber, and sumething else, it must be the seqouia, I don't get any almond or macarones, but overall it's a very nice perfume, l give it 10/10 points.

This perfume is a hidden gem. This being Beyoncé’s first fragrance I believe a lot went into the making of this therefore it really paid off when it comes the the actual scent. I have tried other from the heat line and they are generic and lack uniqueness. But this one is bold and sexy. It opens with this fruity opening that is refreshing but then dries down to this sweet scent with hints of musk scent. I think it really captures that whole “ heat and fever” vibe Bey and her team were going for. Whenever I wear it I feel confident like I’m swimming in gold glittering liquid as the sun beams down on me. Sadly Coty have stopped producing this now so it’s becoming even more rare to find this in shops or even resellers. So get your hands on it before it goes!

The most underrated celebrity perfume. If this exact formula was picked up and sold by Chanel and named it sweet danger .. everyone would be singing a different tune. It's a perfume that says I am playful. Sexy, and I know this.. and I am on my way to dinner and drinks with a potential client" I loved wearing this in 2011 and remember the smell to this day! Love the perfume- Beyoncé? Her picture is next to "over rated" in my pretend dictionary. I feel like I'm in a different world when people say she can sing. To me it sounds like someone trying to be funny, and belts out a horrible tune. Oh! Anyways, this is about perfume. Rightttt. Perfume. I would get it, smell it, and see what I mean!:)

This is forever my favourite cheapie perfume. It was the first fragrance i ever owned back in 2011 and i remember it smelling out of this world and unlike any other perfume i'd ever come across. I think i must have got through about 4 100ml bottles in my last couple of years of school. Its sweet fruity peach combined with spicy amber and musky vibes always get me compliments. The body lotion smells even better than the perfume so i always smother myself in that before i spray liberally as we all know lasting power is a major problem with this perfume (as are most Coty produced lines), but for £9 for a 100ml bottle its no problem. Love it!

Okay so I smelled this in a shop and liked it. Decided to order it and when I got it, I started to LOVE IT! Smelled even better than in the shop! This has a bunch of orchid clearly, and is the main note that I smell all along it's evolution. I dare saying it reminds me of Black Orchid by Tom Ford, but this is frutier and more playful! It really is so sensual, and I smelled so many perfumes that were close to this one but always patchouli ruined it for me. Thank God this has NO patchouli, so is just a pure orchid-fruity-tonka bean intoxicating deliciousness all the way! The lasting power is not so great but smells intense at first.

I love this! What a surprise this is. This was a blind buy and I expected to like it, of course, but I really do love it. This perfume is warm, rich, deep, dark, sultry yet sweet. Great for day or evening but I can imagine it smelling fabulous in the colder months and I will wear this more in the autumn. I also like the name of this perfume but I am not keen on the shape of the bottle but we all know it is what is inside that counts! I feel strong and confident wearing this and it really does make me feel great, which is how a perfume should make you feel. I really want to try Heat Rush and Midnight Heat now too.

This was my signature Winter scent for about 8 years. I could put it on in the morning and people could still smell it on me at the end of the day. On my skin, the amber notes were stronger than the fruity. It was my winter scent because on me, it gave that warm, sultry vibe. Friend bought one for me recently online. But it's a scammer perfume. Be careful everyone! Not all " I have this unopened and unwanted gift" is genuine. It was the highest selling celebrity perfume. She's crazy to discontinued it.
