Viking Beirut

This is the manliest freshie one can get. I'm amazed, this is a projection monster and smells soo expensive than it is. Can't put my finger on exactly what it is inspired by but it's part ADG Profumo, part BDC Parfum and part Bvlgari Tygar. Smells fresh, smoky, aromatic, woodsy. Not your regular freshie but something a ceo in his mid 30s would wear with a suit and tie, closest to ADG Profumo DNA with less smokiness and more woodsy/freshness. Anyways smells amazing and I'm glad I found this one, performance is apt with loud projection for 5+ hours off clothes, one of the most versatile freshie in my collection I could reach if I want to make an impression, this smells power!! Edit: Whoever says this smells like BDC Edp needs to get their nose checked. To me it's 55% ADG Profumo, 25% Tygar and 20% BDC Parfum Scent: 9.5/10 Performance: 9/10 Overall: 9.5/10

It's my favorite blue right now. So masculine and clean. It's a projection beast spend the money lol.

Just an update after having had more time with this one after having give it a few full wears and becoming more accustomed to its subtleties. It's basically a beast mode version of Missoni Parfum Pour Homme, everything is dialed up, it is also MUCH spicier. The drydown also has a lot more depth. It does not give me BDC, but it is definitely a blue frag. It's certainly closer to Dylan Blue than BDC, albeit still not too similar. On opening, I get an intense lavender (even though it's not an official note), dry green herbals and geranium mixed with citrus giving it a thick aromatic punch that smells almost edible like the opening in PDM Percival. The sage is very apparent from the first spray all the way through the drydown giving it a smokey, almost peppery quality. The base notes have a grounded earthy feeling from the oakmoss and vetiver, a slight whisper of patchouli gives it a woody presence and the tonka bean keeps things from getting too dry. To my nose, it's pretty close with Missoni PH as stated earlier, but improved in every way and with a slightly smokey and spicy base. I honestly don't think Missoni PH smells much like BDC or Dylan Blue either. It's a paradoxical as it smells, at the same time, both fresher and woodier/smokier than Missoni PH. Solid and interesting blue frag, definitely more mature smelling than some of its contemporaries. I think this would be just as safe in the winter as the summer due to the spices and sage. Great offering from Bharara. Would I pay retail for it? No. But I won't pay retail for most things. I do think the $55-70 price tag that discounters sell it for is a very fair price. It could be tough sell for some because it costs like 20-30% more than Missoni PH, but I think it's also a decent amount higher quality. Beware, like most Bharara frags, their are counterfeit bottles in circulation, so make sure you do your due diligence before you buy. 86/100

Got a decant of this in the mail today. Very high quality blue fragrance in an Extrait concentration. It lasts a long time and has very good performance. This is definitely closer to Dylan Blue than Bleu de Chanel. The opening is blue citrus and ginger with lavender and some spicy aromatics with some minerality. As it dries down, it gets very similar to DB with the sage, incense, ambroxan and tonka bean. There's also a decent amount of soapiness in the dry down. I can see why some have made ADG comparisons, but I would say it's maybe closer to ADG Absolu than Profondo/Parfum. I definitely get that patchouli and vetiver combo. This is long lasting, over 8 hours on skin with strong projection at first which settles to moderate projection for most of its wearing. 4 season friendly, but likely opt for something with more backbone if I want something fresh on the colder months. Overall it is a nice high quality blue fragrance. It's a bit of a boring and old fashioned take on a blue frag, in my opinion. There are quite a few other blue frags that I far prefer. My wife loves clean blue frags on me, so I have been trying to get into them. I was considering this ad a replacement for my diminishing 5oz bottle of BDC EDP, but as for now, I will likely keep looking for a different replacement.

A fragrance that gets worse after maceration, the pepper-green accord just gets way too strong and disrupts the balance of its creamy barbershop lift. I still honestly wear this from time to time because in the air the scent trail is great

EDIT: After wearing this a few times, I must change my rating. It starts out great and refreshing. I love the opening and mid. But sadly once it hits the deep dry down, I really dont like it. To my nose it smells like actual dirt. Like actual soil with a bit of lemon juice on it..... so yeah. I'll stick with Dylan Blue. Sadly this fragrance and house doesn't get much love. This is my first fragrance from Bharara and I can say I LOVE IT!!! There aren't too many video reviews on this fragrance (that are in English at least). Most of the reviews that i have seen say that or market this as a Bleu De Chanel clone. That is originally why I bought this. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it and realized it is FAR closer to Versace Dylan Blue. I love the scent of Dylan Blue. I just feel that the performance is a bit lacking due to being an EDT. Enter Viking Beirut. Viking Beirut isn't a clone of Dylan Blue, it is essentially a flanker to Dylan Blue. This is what Dylan Blue Intense Parfum would smell like if it was created. I sprayed Viking Beirut and Dylan Blue on opposite hands and wore them for about 2hrs. They are DEFINITELY the same DNA. They have the exact same feel. The real difference is Viking Beirut is stronger, sharper, and more green. VB smells like if you took Dylan Blue, amped up the power, and added a little Chanel Platinum Egoiste to it. It is a slightly more mature, more powerful, sharper version of Dylan Blue. Plus Viking Beriut has a great atomizer. The atomizer is pressurized and is basically just like the Game of Spades atomizers. This is a solid blue fragrance that can be your daily signature scent. It is a mass appealing "shower gel" fragrance that gets the job done. Some may call it boring. But it just works and smells great!

Soapy and aquatic. Not a clone of Bleu de Chanel edp but like 35% bdc. But this smells good. I get Citrus, florals, vetiver and this is slightly sweet.(That ozonic note stands out the most) Rough opening. Last 8-9 hours with Strong projection for 3-4. 8.3/10

For those that want their masculine blue scent with extra galbanum. Yes, this is a tad more sharply pungent than your average fresh aromatic, and that's what gives it some distinction. What may seem too harsh for repeated sniffs off a blotter or wrist, can be more vital and effective when body-sprayed in moderation. The bottle is also a beautiful and intriguing conversation piece. Not only do you get a cap shaped like the horned helmets of yore, but the ship's wheel on the front actually spins around. If you ever wanted a cologne that doubles as a fidget-spinner, that need is now met.

It’s ok, but a no go for me . It’s a green geranium - oakmoss scent, barbershop fragrance. Last about 4 hours to wear it can still be smelled about arm’s length. People compared, but this is not on Chanel’s blue or Dylan blue scent level as those are much better scent wise . Beirut is more masculine. It’s a 30 Age and up Fragrance.
