Viking Dubai

I traded away my bottle of Sospiro Vibrato a few months ago, I have several different scents built around the Tygar ambroxan citrus DNA. I loved Vibrato, but there was a note in there that was off-putting to my wife that she did not detect in other Tygar-style frags. I had heard of this brand before and tried a couple of their offerings in stores. I saw this in a local perfume store and tried it on a whim and my wife was obsessed with it. I sprayed it on a test paper strip and I could smell it strongly still multiple hours later and even the next day over 24 hours later, it was still easily detected. I have a few other frags with the same DNA, but this is much closer to Vibrato than Tygar for sure and it has great staying power. It's an absolute steal of you get a bottle for under $65. I had left a longer review talking about my experiences with the bottle o ordered on eBay for $26 shipped. Deals that sound too good to be true often are. I received a counterfeit bottle! I waited weeks for it oxidize and smell right and it never did and had weird chemicals in it that made my nose feel funny and unable to smell anything else after smelling it Beware fellow Fragranticans! I got to compare the smell of my bottle to an original recently and mine was 100% fake! The wild thing is that it was in a real bottle, my theory is that the factory making the actual glass bottles and packaging in China for Bharara are either selling fake juice in the same bottles or selling the empty vessels to another party that is putting fake stuff in them. Buy from trusted sellers only. I did get another bottle from Jomashop a few weeks later. This basically starts off as Vibrato but has a beautiful creamy sandalwood dry down, somewhat similar to Bleu De Chanel EDP while still keeping some.of the fresh citrus and ambroxan. It's and absolute stunner with great performance and smells much better than a lot of the cheap clones using this DNA.

@AmouageElixir that new bottle is likely fake. The first bottle I bought online, after trying it in a store in person, was fake. I have a real bottle I got later and it's very hard to tell them apart. The fake one even smells somewhat similar but makes me go noseblind to everything after smelling it. I can't even imagine what kind of chemicals are in it. You wouldn't think such an intricate bottle would have fakes floating around. The only tell tale signs were a slight seam in the middle of the round sides of the glass of the bottle that's not there in the real one, the sticker on the bottom was for Viking Beruit, the bottom of the bottle filled with juice isn't as deep, and the box has a white Styrofoam liner in between the felt and cardboard and the real one has a thick quality black foam material. Be careful, lots of counterfeits out there. I never would have thought fake Bharara Viking would be a thing, but it is. I would also have to disagree with @Afrikano. I find this much closer to Vibrato than Tygar. It has the florals similar to Vibrato that are absent from Tygar.

Just received this and must say it is more similar to Vibrato than Tygar but can understand why some people say it reminds them of Tygar. There is definitely less emphasis on the grapefruit but more on the fizzy ginger notes. I am also getting a slight smoky/earthy touch initially on my skin but that may just be my skin chemistry. However, that soon went. When spraying on skin you can definitely see a sheen on the skin which is understandable as the fragrance contains 30% oil concentration. Therefore be careful when spraying on clothing to avoid staining. Can't really comment on the performance yet as have just only opened it so will let it sit for a few weeks and update later. You can really tell that the ingredients are quality and niche for a cheaper price. For £50 I am very pleased to add to my collection as could not justify paying for the OG due to it's cost and look forward to see how it develops.

I really like this. $60 for vibrato but done smoother, lasts longer and projects better? What more could you ask for. I will be picking this up soon. I have a 5ml decant currently and I am in love. Literally identical to vibrato, I have them side by side and it is indistinguishable, and the scent does not feel cheap at all, high quality ingredients. I really recommend this if you like that iconic creamy ginger DNA. Great dupe, you can tell they spent their time perfecting the scent. 8.3/10

Perfume tem uma apresentação muito bonita e com boa qualidade, o cheiro é fenomenal... pra quem gosta do vibrato ele vai te atender muito bem por um ótimo preço, mas não chega a ser um clone e sim uma boa inspiração, talvez alguns vão até achar um pouco melhor, pois ele trás um pouco mais de madeira, vindo com uma proposta um pouco mais séria. Perfume excelente pra blind pois a agradabilidade é altíssima. Perfomance me parece também bem similar ao vibrato!

It's really similar to turathi blue, but with an amazing performance, beast mode, I loved it!

I'll start by saying as a real lover of this DNA (citrus + ginger) this is really nice on it's own and well blended. But to me this is nothing and no where near in the same vein as Vibrato as so many votes have it and people below saying. As someone who owns Vibrato and considers it a signature scent, Viking Dubai doesn't come close to the nuances and facets of Vibrato. This to me is closer to Bvlgari Tygar as account of the citrus, ginger and woods that come through. Vibrato to me is fresher, has more of a fizzy carbonated nuance, and less woods. To me I get more of a deeper and less fizzy scent attributing it more to Bvlgari Tygar. Again this is still a great scent. Does it smell good? Absolutely. Is it well blended? Absolutely. Worth the full price ($60)? Definitely. Is it a 1 to 1 with Vibrato? Absolutely Not. But definitely is a Tygar variant. There are a lot of scents in that realm inspired by Tygar but they all have very specific nuances that keep them from smelling the exact same. Just like hot wings or burgers from one restaurant can be made from the same ingredients but taste completely different. If you like the scents below, you'll like this. Just know if you want a Vibrato clone this definitely doesn't come close (ranked by my favorites of this DNA): 1. Vibrato 2. A Wonderous Flight 3. Kajal III 4. L’Immensité 5. The Hedonist 6. A citrusy-gingery beauty of a blend that this girlie-girl will rock.

Maybe I need to let my bottle macerate. The longevity as of now is definitely lacking. I got this to replace Maison Asrar Majesty as my Tygar/Vibrato scent. Majesty's citrus is a bit too sharp for my liking even though it smells great which is why I tried to replace it. But Viking Dubai isn't the one to do it. Viking Dubai smells very good. It is def in the same vein as Majesty and Vibrato. But by hour 4 its a skin scent that I have to bury my nose to find. With Majesty I get whiffs all day up to 10hrs+. Luckily, I bought Hawas Highness at the same time thinking it was a Castley clone. I was initially pissed but I love Hawas Highness. It is a slightly darker and spicier Vibrato which I actually prefer. Also, the performance was great right from jump. I could still smell it at hour 12! If you want a good Vibrato/Tygar, my pick would be Hawas Highness or Maison Asrar Majesty (if not too sharp for you).

@Afrikano the reviewer before you literally stated he has both this and the original vibrato and they smell identical. Many other people have said the same. And you dont even need to own the original you can smell it or get a sample anywhere to compare to this. If you have tygar or any tygar dupes youll immediately note this is different to them even though they may all share citrus notes. Also their intent was obviously for this to be a vibrato dupe given the gold and green colors. It definitely smells a lot closer to vibrato than it does tygar. And it is 85-95% close to vibrato which makes buying the original redundant.

It’s ok, I’m not fan of lemon notes, also certain ginger based scents. It’s last a while at least 5 hours of where someone can smell it. This would be along the lines of a Chanel product , Chanel allure sport ginger. It’s a quality scent and blend no doubt, but not for me as I blind bought based on reviews and gave it to my brother as he loved it.

Very unusual, the new batch/bottle i got smells very different from the original one, has some kind of incense/fennel seed sort of smell to it, curious whats going on if they have reformulated the product
