Boy of June

References to the Creed are understandable with its smoky woodiness and its bergamot note, it’s definitely in the same olfactory family, however Boy of June is led by a beautiful patchouli and is a total delight to wear. It doesn’t feel at all obnoxious either. In particular, I really enjoy the apple and the incense. It falls on the masculine side of perfumery with solid projection and a mass appealing trail. If I were Jan, I’d be pretty pleased with this.

It's just a better more complex and more refined version of Creeds aventus

I bought this home yesterday and first time wearing it properly today and although I do like it it really does not last long! Especially not for the price point, I feel like even saturating myself in it still wouldn't be enough. I get the reference to Creed now that I have read the other reviews but I think this has a lighter more flirty/cute smell to it

After spraying on a testing strip I loved it. I felt fresh spicy apple with bergamot. The geranium was noticeable too. But unfortunately, 5 minutes after spraying on the skin, it changed a lot - into a smoky amber with strong patchouli. At first it seemed very unisex and perfect for summer, but then it leaned to the masculine side, and I'm not sure if I'd wear it in hot weather... I would love it if the top notes stayed till the end.

It doesn’t feel like it suits my age. I’m in my twenties, but this comes across as something for someone in their forties, much more mature and composed.

Received as a gift. Tried it a few times and don't like it at all. Initially it opens smokey and then gives off a Coal Tar smell. I have Creed Aventus and tried lots of the clones and this doesn't smell like any of them!

Opens with sharp citrus and then becomes quite smokey. Another Creed Aventus like scent but this one is actually close in price to the real thing. Gets a thumbs down from me.

The attack reminds me of the thick, bitter-tinted skin of a citrus fruit. This skin turns smoky, as if someone decided to burn it. Later, it is the green apple that dominates the juice, a complete change of atmosphere. This green apple note, I cannot tame in a perfume. It has that 'waxy' aspect that its smooth, shiny skin can have, nothing to do with its sweet and tangy flesh. I feel a bit mixed about it; I like the beginning, but less so the end. During the dry down it is like 'Blooming woods' by Anthèse

Smokey boy smell. Aromatic, fresh, spice, leans very masculine, reminds me of what I consider to be the traditional 80s ‘aftershave’ or shaving foam type scent.
