Iris Wallpaper

Maybe this broke my nose - I don't know. I love this stuff. When I sampled it in the store there was this very dry sour opening note - intense and I recoiled. I also got the full rotation of iris - the earthy carrot, the butter and the purple floral all with this bizarre sour fruity accord. Not sure what happened but by the time I arrived home, I was completely obsessed. I don't know where anyone is getting violets and especially not Misia and no real powder either. I had the paper strip and the cuffs of the shirt I was wearing and my nose couldn't stop sniffing for several days. I decided to go for it and buy the bottle. Boy has this one been a changeling. Opening now smells like pure alcohol calvados and peaches - then this leathery, buttery orris snakes its way in and the peaches recede into a peachy Haribo confection humming along the top of what is normally the sombre aspect of iris. The whole thing is a very modern take on iris and I am loving it.

Oh I love this! I need a full bottle. It smells like a real pure orris absolute. It is rooty, earthy, dense and a little bit powdery too. It reminds me a lot of Iris Silver and Iris Gris de Fath in edp. It is a very weird fragrance for connoisseur only and for real orris soliflore lovers. (No cheap caramel and Oud 😆).

Couldn’t resist buying a bottle when I sampled this in store at Liberty London. Super nostalgic, candied violet dreams. Smells like gummies, or maybe Haribo Pico Balla.

I second @bernadetta's comment below. The opening made me cringe and think this is probably one of the worst iris centered perfume i have tried. It gets waaayyy better in the drydown, but I tell you what, it smells just like Chanel's Misia!

This scent is so horrible... I didnt know Iris could smell so cheap and vulgar in the perfume... Its almost as if this gentle Iris is being abused here... Extremely strong, but so empty at the same time. Headache inducing. ouch!

i absolutely hate this. there is no balance, it’s sharp, offensive, vulgar. i see the vision but they missed so hard i was very excited to try a sample of this but i was very disappointed. smells like parma violets but not in a good way :/

To my nose, this scent is awful - very dry, with a smell like rotting leaves you rake up in autumn. For me, it’s really unpleasant.

Fruity, iris, then vanilla. Feminine leaning, easy to wear, but also sort of forgettable and without much character. Not a like, but not a dislike neither.

Smells like hennessy to me. In an airy way
