Vanilla Factory

This one took me a bit by surprise and was love at first spritz! It’s a warm, dry, natural vanilla; not too sweet, superbly blended with soft spice and earthy patchouli. It’s a bit balsamic, a little powdery, slightly smoky; perfectly balanced and wraps me up in a cosy, seductive scent bubble that’s not too loud or cloying, but truly intoxicating. My holy grail spicy vanilla! Thank you Bibbi!

I expected this to be a straightforward sweet vanilla, but it quickly proved to be something more structured and far less edible than the name suggests. The opening carries depth and spice, and within minutes it develops a pronounced dark (leather-like?) edge, with musky woods giving it real presence. The vanilla feels architectural rather than sugary — smoothing and supporting the composition rather than dominating it. On my skin it leans bold and distinctly masculine, with strong projection and a confident, slightly shadowed character. It’s well constructed and more interesting than anticipated, but ultimately a little too assertive and dominant for me... however .. it smells INSANELY good on my other half. (Who is absolutely delighted with his unexpected bonus prize. Lol)

First hour was spicy vanilla, beautiful and fairly unisex. Then later it was still going strong and I got something jammy I don't really see in the listed notes. Careful how much you use though because it is a beast! I sprayed generously in the early evening so it was a bit too potent for a sleep perfume later that night and I could still smell boozy vanilla and sugary saffron after lunch the next day. On skin! Not nose to wrist either but as much projection as I get from, say, Tamdao right after I apply. Insane performance. Don't think it will be suitable for warm weather so I'll stick with the travel size for now.

Odd. I get that a straight up smoky vanilla perfume would be snoozy, as that has been done time and time again, but wildly throwing patchouli and papyrus into the mix makes this smell like ... moldy birthday cake?

Awful. Screechy and chemical dark scent, not my typical vanilla. Reminds me of Middle East perfumes..

One of my favourite vanilla fragrances ever. It’s a sensual, romantic, dark, mysterious, adventurous vanilla. The name is Vanilla Factory. What I see is an abandoned old brick wall vanilla factory in the middle of the city. It’s a hot summery day, you step out the recommended tourist path and you decide to enter this beautiful building that just caught your eye. It turned out be an old abandonded factory with all the windows being broken but letting lots of light in. You see the dust blowing, it’s a bit dusty and all goes right up your nose and it sticks to your sweaty, salty skin. The smell is this dark vanilla powder scent, a bit earthy, with bold, warm and mature character. The bright side comes from citruses, pepper and tea bringing a bit of freshness like the sun rays coming through the windows, highlighting the old vanilla dust complimented with saffron and nutmeg that tickle your nose. If you’re bored of typical, too sweet, too floral, too feminine vanilla scents, then this is one for you. This one feels makes me feel brave, sexy and adventurous.

This is near identical to Oud Satin Mood Maison Francis Kurkdjian. The dry down is less similar (not drastically so) but top and middle 100% is the same to my nose. I even did two tests to verify I wasn't going mad because the notes listed for each perfume are arguably too different for these similarities to make any sense. Vanilla Factory is less cloying/rose bomb so much more wearable in my opinion.

Very sexy roomy airy vanilla. Dark. I imagine a very self-possessed women wearing this. I kinda agree with the comment below saying it's like BR and Baie 19 had a baby. The tea note slips in and out for me.

Such a strange perfume. I can't work out if I like it. It's like if BR and baie 19 had a baby with added vanilla essence. Definate eucalyptus note, sugary saffron, dirty patchouli and cake Not a blind buy
