Jours Heureux

I adore all of the exquisite fragrances from Bienaimé! This French perfume house dates back to 1935 and was resurrected in 2021 along with four of their original fragrances. I ordered a sample kit from their website (shipped to me in the U.S.) I will be reviewing each of the four fragrances... JOURS HEUREUX: Powder puff delight! I adore this scent!! It is so similar to Teint de Neige, which is my all-time favorite powdery fragrance. Fluffy and comforting almond, vanilla, white musk, and tonka bean mingle with the floral charm of carnation, violet, geranium, and rose to envelop with a scent bubble that makes me think of the clouds in heaven! It also reminds me slightly of Francesca Bianchi's Angel's Dust, but without the "skanky" notes that turn many off. While Teint de Neige is a snowy and crisp powder, and Angel's Dust is warm and sensual; Jours Heureux embodies the best of both of these beloved fragrances. Silage and longevity are excellent. Highly recommended! THE PACKAGING: The beautiful bottles reflect Bienaimé's original Art Deco spirit and are reusable and recyclable. Refills are available for purchase, making these treasures a very reasonably priced luxury. Dreamlike and poetic universe Bienaimé is an ode to the memories of the past and an immersion into the heart of eternal beauty. I couldn't agree more! IN SUMMARY: This perfume house is a treasure!! I highly recommend ordering a sample kit... the price is deducted upon the purchase of a perfume! Even the packaging of the kit is exceptional, and it comes with a darling pink and white striped cloth pouch that is perfect for travel. I want one of each of these exquisite fragrances in my collection! But if I must choose one, La Vie en Fleurs is my favorite.

Damn. This perfume is the absolute vixen of “wait until I’m ready” and a lesson on always waiting before scrubbing. I’ll admit when I first sprayed this, I didn’t like it! Pure powder and violet, I got none of the light sweetness or creaminess others mentioned, until I gave her an hour to adjust her lipstick and finger her curls. The almond has broken through, soft, elegant, vintage without being dated. Powdered make up though and through but better. Sweeter, creamier, gentler and a lot fresher. Pure, powdery refinement. I can’t say more than what anyone else has said. Just encouraging others not to be started at first, the notes kick in after around 45min on me. Projection and longevity are average which is perfect. This is not a scent that should be too loud (crazy as I’m a bit of a projection nut, maybe I’m changing?) Speaking of change, this perfume represents a better version of myself. Refined, put together, strong but kind. This perfume is literally the only thing I’ve smelt that makes me want to be a better person so I’m worthy of wearing it.

Finally tested this today, I have been waiting to try for so long as someone has voted this fragrance reminds them of Chloe, Love the modern powdery masterpiece but sadly discontinued... Tried today, on the test strip it didn’t remind me of Love Chloe that much but they do belong to the same vibe soft clean and powdery, but when I sprayed on my skin OMG it reminds me 85% Chloe, Love my body chemistry tends to pull of very musky with every fragrances, this also turns musky and powdery on my skin which is VERY similar with Chloe love omg🥹 I immediately bought it, I’m so happy that I finally found a similar vibes alternative! Nanshe from Nishane is very close but not as close as this, hope they won’t discontinue this little gem. Btw this house is a hidden gem! It’s designed for people who appreciate kinda vintage powdery vibes/ musky / tender / soft fragrances. I really like the 4 new interpretation from their old collection ! EDIT: sprayed this to work today my colleague thought it’s Chloe Love! She was shocked that this is another fragrance!

This is so beautiful. Vintage, powdery, floral, gourmand. It might sounds familiar. There's nothing revolutionary in there but it's very well made. You need to love marzipan. I can fully detect the note. Staying power is surprisingly good for such a delicate scent. I don't know how someone could dislike such an angelic scent. I'm also sure it's a male magnet. If I were a man smelling that on a cute girl I'd fall in love I think. I blind bought and had to pay extra fees for the shipping from France but so far it was totally worth it. 100%. I'm gonna look forward buying La Vie En Fleurs now... Great job Bienaimé. Top quality perfumes with a "French touch" at a reasonable price (well, for niche perfumery) still exist in 2023.

I received this as a sample in another fragrance order and so happy this landed in my sample pack. I was not expecting a powder bomb when I took my first sniff, but knew I couldn’t wait to give it a try. When I finally gave it a wear it was very impressed. This is ultra powdery, creamy, clean and so comforting. Smooth and so well blended, never cloying or offensive. I would wear this year round at any time of the day. Totally smitten with this vintage style fragrance and can’t wait for my full bottle to arrive. I just ordered a discovery set from this house and so excited to see what else they offer.

This is a beautiful scent, very powdery and vintage is the only way to describe it, for those who were hoping it was similar to Love Chloe, unfortunately it isn't. Its the same type/family of scent but not as sweet as LC. The presentation is beautiful, very old style but I love it! This is now available at Liberty London for those of us in the UK, its a bit pricey but I think its worth it. The longevity isn't amazing but a little bit goes a long way, id be careful wearing this to work, but a crisp autumnal day? this would be perfection, very cosy.

Lovely, I can’t stop smelling my wrist. Creamy yet clean. Smells like sitting at antique vanity table and applying almond scented dusting powder with an oversized fluffy powder puff that has a ribbon on the back. Decent longevity, I’d say around 5 hours. It's not re-inventing the wheel, but that’s fundamentally not what Bienaimé are about. Their origin story is super interesting and all of the packing for their beauty products is gorgeous. If you get the chance to visit their shop on the Rue Saint-Roch I would definitely go.

I have and love La Vie en Fleurs, and had been wondering about the other Bienaime fragrances, and all the comment below convinced me that I had to buy Jours Heureux. Moda Operandi had last one of Jours Heureux available, so I went for it. Just like La Vie en Fleurs, this is an instant love. Jours Heureux is powdery, feminine, gentle and elegant. I can smell the rose and violet in it, and it definitely has that vintage vibe, yet somehow still smells very modern. Unique and approachable at the same time. What a lovely scent!

Simply gorgeous! If you're familiar with Teint de Neige, this shares that same comforting DNA, but I actually think I prefer this one - it feels just a bit more elevated and refined. It’s a stunning, fluffy powder with that nostalgic cosmetic talc edge, yet the delicate florals and smooth almond note shine right through. Extremely wearable, seamless, and pretty. This is the kind of scent that just instantly makes you feel put-together and lovely. Might have to pick up a bottle of this in future.

Gorgeous goegeous just like their bottles. Beautiful face cream type scent (this is basically the house's identity), that hints vintage yet very wearable in this day and age. A bit generic and less interesring compared to Vermeil which I own, but arguably this is prettier and more wearable. Gals, this is 100x better than Chanel's Comete! Gosh this needs to go in my wishlist. Edit: Immediate full bottle purchase lol. There is a memorial day sale currently and... Bob's your Uncle!

Jours Heureux reminds me of sneaking into my late grandmother's modest vanity; the smell of her few curated creams, powders, and perfumes coming together to create a rich scent memory of a humble yet elegant woman. This fragrance just makes me so happy. Its soft but not weak by any means. It's powdery, but never dry nor dated. The florals and vanillas blend together seamlessly and give a warm sweet aura. Honestly this is just timeless femininity in a bottle.

Currently in the market for a powder, and this is a frontrunner. To my nose, this is like skipping to the dry down of Teint de Neige. Vintage powder puff dreams, exquisite. Doesn’t have the lasting power of Teint de Neige, but frankly, what does? The bottle design is absurdly gorgeous, and I feel like this is the stuff of all my soft romantic pastel summer fantasies. Right now, my head is saying Teint de Neige but my heart is saying Jours Heureux.

Just received this and the fleur d’ete! Decided to keep both bottles but Jours is my ‘spot on’ one! Starts off generic but soon transforms into a soft bouquet of flowers, so creamy and reminiscent of the original Isabey gardenia. Perhaps not the smell itself but the quality of the creamy blend of white flowers! I wish it was a beast in sillage and projection but I guess this type of fragrances need to stay close to skin to feel precious...

i’ve been on the search for a perfume that smells like vintage makeup. i just received a sample of this yesterday and i fear the sample will be gone within a few days. i am obsessed. it’s so soft feminine and delicate and the almond note is really gorgeous. this perfume makes me feel like an old hollywood actress getting ready in front of a vanity. will be purchasing a full bottle asap!!!

One of the best perfumes I’ve smelled in a long time. Creamy sunscreen, warm florals, vanilla powder, candied florals...all of my favorite things. Signature worthy. Makes me want to be pretty...I think I need this one.

For powdery floral lovers. Very feminine, you are in your bathroom where the skincare and makeup intermingle... A clean fragrance. Tender, soft and elegant scent. To my nose, it is a modern and vintage perfume, more for fall and winter. Office compatible! 7/10 In this brand: Vermeil = lipstick (iris and musk), Jours Heureux = Skincare scent (carnation & musk) and La vie en Fleurs = iris bouquet (iris, violet, musk with a touch of raspberry).

The main accord I got from this was suncream!! Makes me think of a fancy lady on a sun lounger by the beach. This lady enjoys wearing 1940s-style glamorous clothes. She always has her nails painted in red polish; her hair is set. Very refined composition.

I was surprised at how powdery this comes across but I like it ! It definitely reads more “mature” to me. Beautiful, sophisticated floral scent.

I like it but I am not blown-away. Struggling to see its originality a bit.

Jours Heureux does remind me of Mizensir's Musc Eternel, which I own, and Lorenzo Villoresi's Teint de Neige, which I plan to purchase once I've used up by bottle of Musc Eternel. Musc Eternel is a bit creamier with a beautiful marzipan warmth (there's no almond listed but that is how it comes across to me), Teint de Neige has a slight sharpness that I crave, while Jours Heureux is a little more old-fashioned and classic with the carnation and geranium. There's something of a bygone era, a hint of an animalic touch that's found in vintage fragrances. Jours Heureux is gorgeous, bringing to mind an old Hollywood beauty like Marilyn Monroe primping herself in front of her boudoir, but I personally prefer the other two fragrances.

Squeaky and vanilla rose, mischievous and melancholic at the same time. Like an older person who behaves like a teenager or, like a young person who behaves like someone excessively mature. I love the almond touch that gives it an air of doll smell, a luxurious doll from the 40s. Fabulous

A big Yes for bringing back powdery scents! This would surely remind you of a certain profile of fragrance that was popular a while ago (even 10 years ago) - a sweet, fluffy almondy powder! I missed this conforting type of scent.

The most gorgeous ethereal powdery fragrance in my collection. I love it and find it so wearable, like a really good quality body lotion with a way better sillage and performance.

Candied 50s powder puff. Equal parts marzipany and makeuppy. Traces of waxen violet, which lends it that distinctly vintage feel.

Sadly this is just straight up laundry powder or laundry soap on me. I get zero vanilla, almond or creaminess.
