La Vie en Fleurs

I adore all of the exquisite fragrances from Bienaimé! This French perfume house dates back to 1935 and was resurrected in 2021 along with four of their original fragrances. I ordered a sample kit from their website (shipped to me in the U.S.) I will be reviewing each of the four fragrances... LA VIE EN FLEURS: La Vie en Fleurs reminds me of Chanel's Cométe, but without the cherry blossom note. It is an enchanting and delightful fragrance that "makes you see life in pink." It's a shimmering powder puff, a sparkling stardust! Lipstick florals - violet, rose, and peony - mingle with candied, sweet-tart fruits - raspberry and mandarin - upon a fluffy base of white musk, iris, and heliotrope. Silage and longevity are moderate. The result is a charmingly flirty boudoir fragrance that nods to its Art Deco roots while perfectly updated for the present. This is my favorite in the Bienaimé collection! THE PACKAGING: The beautiful bottles reflect Bienaimé's original Art Deco spirit and are reusable and recyclable. Refills are available for purchase, making these treasures a very reasonably priced luxury. FROM THEIR WEBSITE: Through the rebirth of the brand Bienaimé, the idea is to perpetuate the wonder of these timelessly charming beauty treasures and create a sensory experience that evokes emotion, that of a sweet nostalgia. Dreamlike and poetic universe Bienaimé is an ode to the memories of the past and an immersion into the heart of eternal beauty. I could't agree more! IN SUMMARY: This perfume house is a treasure!! I highly recommend ordering a sample kit, and the price is deducted upon the purchase of a perfume! Even the packaging of the kit is exceptional, and it comes with a darling pink and white striped cloth pouch that is perfect for travel. I want one of each of these exquisite fragrances in my collection! But if I must choose one, La Vie en Fleurs is my favorite.

Girly feminine sister of the quirky Cockatiel, Zoologist. I can find some similarities (probably why I love both of these fragrances so much). Powdery and zesty, bright despite some dusty notes. An adorable sour raspberry note on some distant heliotrope and dirty musky background. Nothing special based on the notes but still, I haven't smelled something quite like this one recently. This one is easier to wear (and has more staying power) than Cockatiel. Last 5 hours on my skin while projecting a little bit. Then it becomes mostly a skin scent. Bottle is beautiful and looks more luxurious than perfumes bottles that cost twice as much. In summary, lovely every day, every occasion perfume with a clever vintage twist. My new signature. Btw I'm on an hunt for Marie Schnirer fragrances.Trying Scène Fragrances, La nuit transfigurée soon :) Can't wait to receive my sample.

It's been a while since I've smelled such an attractive flower bouquet. This, for me, is the definition of softness, day dreaming, of being in love, which is a feeling not devoid of nostalgia, a tender spring day when everything has come alive once more and you yourself feel renewed, but all this life is also pressing down on you, it's too much and it's making you feel lightheaded. I am constantly in search of fragrances that make me feel something, that gather up some kind of mixed emotions or make me relive the past in some kind of way. And this is one of them. Later edit: some downsides for this fragrance are the longevity, it dissipates quickly, you have to spray it on clothes, and the fact that it gets sweeter as it dries down, but it is still pretty and evocative

Gorgeous bottle which is what made me test it in the first place. It has good longevity (7-8 hours) and moderate sillage. This is a very feminine, soft, clean, iris forward powdery delight. I suppose it's a bit nivea lotion-y but not in a bad way, the raspberry is there but it's delicate and creamy. I personally don't get the comparison to Cinema which coincidentally I bought last week. I'm not particularly getting the Rose, more distinct are the violet, heliotrope, iris and musk but it's beautifully blended. A beautiful tribute to vintage perfumery whilst managing to be being fresh and modern.

If Chanel Comète and Guerlain’s French Kiss had a baby it would be Bienaimé La Vie En Fleurs. LVEF does not the vanilla gourmand dry down of French Kiss but it does have the beautiful rounded tart raspberry, Violet, Iris and almondy heliotrope. From Comete I get the sparkling aldehydes, heliotrope and Violet/ Iris. I adore boudoir Fragrances be it lipstick, cosmetic powder -pressed or loose and lotion. This is so beautiful and is creating a wonderful scent bubble around me. I am very keen to explore the other scents on offer from the house of Bienaimé

The initial burst of raspberry and the delicate touch of iris evoke memories of French Kiss, but this impression quickly dissipates. As it settles on the skin, it transforms into a warm, vanilla-based scent, closely resembling the vanilla accord found in YSL Cinema, with a soft powdery veil that continues to linger in the background.

Peachy smooth and pretty, this reminds me of classic feminine perfumes, but it's more contemporary with the note of mandarin. Really lovely, if you want to smell pretty, this won't disappoint!

Beautiful soft slightly powdery floral. I don’t smell anything fruity. Fresh clean lotion or cosmetics not full on soapy. I love putting this on before bed after a bath. Clean and cosy.

It is pretty, a slightly fruitier version of Dama Bianca IMO.

For powdery floral lovers. Very feminine, this perfume is a flowers bouquet with musk. I can smell iris, violet, musk and raspberry. Delicate, tender, soft and elegant scent. To my nose, it is a modern and vintage perfume for all seasons. Office compatible! It can be a signature scent without any problem. 8/10 In this brand: Vermeil = lipstick (iris and musk), Jours Heureux = Skincare scent (carnation & musk) and La vie en Fleurs = iris bouquet (iris, violet, musk with a touch of raspberry).

Very similar to Annick Goutal's Étoile d'Une Nuit. It's softer and better composed here. Vintage makeup powder/face cream type scent. Some reviews say this is a modernized composition. Can't say that I fully agree, this still smells quite vintage to me, and won't appeal to many, but that's what I bought it for. The bottle looks vintage and the scent matches it. Edit: There is a note in the drydown that does not work on my skin. Selling my bottle for a low price on Mercari. SOLD

bubbly fun light every-day scent, evocative of clean soap and bubble baths with fresh flowers in a vase near an open window.

I can see the connection to Cinema, but the YSL fragrance is more boldly citrusy/orangey in its top. That fresh citrus/fruity beginning gives way to a sweet heliotrope/floral heart. It's not a doughy and stuffy and old fashioned heliotrope, but one lightened with muguet aromachemicals and then grounded with and orris-woody-coumarin base. Lovely and soapy and not at all me. Cinema's more overtly citrus opening intrigues me, while the base of La Vie en Fleurs feels more streamlined and composed.

Another super-powdery substance from this back-from-the-dead house featuring vintage accords that really grate on me: anonymous pink flowers, almond shampoo and plain body lotion. Twee

Did I get a bottle of water? I sprayed my full 2ml sample on me and smelled nothing after 10 minutes

To me this smells like Cometé + Heaven Can Wait, it has that bright, sparkling, sweetart powder in Cometé, as well as nearly the same lotiony smell of HCW. It does veer closely to headache-y territory, specifically the kind I get from Kenzo’s Flower. Still, it is really pretty! I love Cometé but not HCW. I don’t like that old fashioned body cream smell on me. However if I smelled this on someone else I would think they objectively smelled lovely. I adore violet, powdery, lipstick scents, but this one isn’t for me. Edit: dry down 2 hours in is so gorgeous. More mellow, more sweeter, with the vanilla softening it up. This is what I wanted it to smell like!

Beautiful bottle, but it’s not enough to make me want to get a full size bottle. I received my sample today, and I think heliotrope or iris, just isn’t for me. The purple florals, including violet, have not been kind to my nose. It’s not that this is bad, but it’s truly a vintage, classic, soapy, powdery scent that genuinely you’d smell on a grandma. And that’s not a bad thing, I have plenty of “grandma” scents I love, one being Dior pure poison, but this smells like baby powder or dove body wash. Similar to Palatine from PDM, or Jasmin Bonheur from Guerlain. Powdery purple florals with some citrus fruit opening and rose/white floral heart.

This is pretty. A very beautiful and well made floral scent with rose, violets, raspberry...it reminds me of Rose Cherie mixed with French Kiss and touch of Kenzo Flower. Dreamy, floral, soft. Billowy dresses and sunny gardens... Very nice!

I got a sample of this, and it smells like powdery floral body lotion. I don't get any fruits at all; I'm wondering if I got a bad batch.

La Vie en Fleurs is beautiful, delicate and feminine. The opening is a delight and becomes even sweeter on the dry down. I love it.

smells like an overpowering and headache inducing version of fleur de peau, which i do like.

Oh wow what a beauty this brand is!!!! True boudoir dream!
