Bijan Black for Men

**WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT THIS FRAGRANCE** First, it doesn't smell cheap. The opening is where the pine comes in. However, it is just enough to give it the most subtle bite of a manly note it needs. Also, it is so smooth and SLIGHTLY...........SLIGHTLY unisex in appeal. Meaning...not overbearing and trying to announce itself. Definitely noticable in the embrace of a hug. It has a dry down that is reminiscent of the smell of a brand new pack of pencils-- UNSHARPENED! However, that is not the only thing you smell. That is just like the middle of the fragrance. With this, you smell vanilla, orange blossom, and lavender topped with amber. Wow, what a job leaving the oakmoss in the background to keep it from smelling dated. Much better than the original Bijan for Men. **CONCLUSION** There is a lot of good work put into BIJAN BLACK to make a crowd pleasing, smooth, inoffensive, and INEXPENSIVE treat! 8.7/10 I would have giving it a 9, but I would have boosted the florals just a touch:) Check out some of my other fragrance reviews on my traditional shaving/fragrance channel on Youtube: Shavenonthedarkside

Arid heat of Los Angeles intensifies the fragrant gardens of Beverly Hills...everything is an olfactory Technicolor. in the evening after the sun has slipped into the sea beyond Malibu and the air cools to a balmy comfort you can detect the scent of pine from the mountains north of the city. This mixes with the hot flowers and a touch of carbon monoxide to create a mysterious noir effect ... It all becomes Chandleresque. anything could happen and it usually does beginning with a dame. Curves ahead, dangerous when wet! Bijan Black for Men is very much like this....a hot cinematically dramatic opening of orange blossoms, lavender and bergamot then its sun slides beneath the waves and you are left with a lazy blend of roses and pine and sweet vanilla. This lush complementary blending of notes I find quite satisfying. The only disappointment for me is how short lived this fragrance is on my skin. My chemistry seems to drink it up like the evaporating water from a concrete sidewalk on a hot day. For me the dry down just drops off into nothing. It says very close to the skin and is rather magnetic in its effect on others, so while it is working it is very nice. Four Solid Gold Stars ****

This one has me stumped... I picked up Bijan Black with hesitation from the beginning at Marshalls as a blind buy for $18 a few weeks ago. I feel it has two stages to it. Once I sprayed it on my wrist and took a whiff, my first impressions were "what did I get myself into" a Blast of boozy florals! I thought this is something my wife should be wearing! My mother always had one of these Bijan bottles sitting on her dresser for many years, looked like a Purple doughnut... But once I gave it a chance to dry down a bit, it became to come alive! The second stage was very interesting. A tightly wound masculine concentration of musky woods and amber by a lighter vanilla floral spice. A wonderful powdery scent further along its journey and them fading off softer and softer. Yes a little feminine at first and at the end, but I guess that is where the BLACK comes into play is in the dry down. My wife did try this out on herself and she liked it! So UNISEX yes. But masculine... yes... Definitely a formal Fragrance in my book! You will have to wear a tie with this one! I do like this cologne, but only for the right occasion. Not for every day!

This one is a floral-vanilla scent, which stays between the sweet and the comfortable. That type of scent, which is good for cold weathers. I don’t know why every male perfume that has a black bottle and the word “black” in its name is compared to Bvlgari Black. This one has not to do with Bvlgari Black! In my opinion, it reminds me a little bit Ferrari Black. It’s a good scent and has good lasting. What I want to write down here (and I will repeat in others Bijan’s reviews) is the fact that all Bijans I have in my collection have the same characteristic: it starts calm and “weak”, giving that feeling of “this scent will lasts only 20 minutes”. But for one magic reason, they grow in the skin after 30-40 minutes and exhale a lot. It’s awesome! You can feel the aroma all the time in your own body and than you notice that you are wearing a wonderful scent.

I ordered Bijan Black Woman and they sent me Black men.. Great scent. Opens up with smooth pinetree and softens down to amber, vanilla and sandelwood. Great as every-day-scent. Soft scent but yet intensive. This is not a roomkiller, next person have to stand close to get a wiff of this wonderful malesexy scent. I sprayed my wrist 1 hour ago - and I think this could be a unisex-scent. Jag beställde Bijan Black Woman - och fick Black men. Härligt manlig doft som öppnar med lite träiga toner och mjuknar ner i amber, vanilj och sandelträ, funkar bra som varje-dag-doft. Mjuk men ändå intensiv, ingen rumsdödare, nästa person måste stå nära för att känna denna manligt sexiga doft. Sprejade lite på handen för 1 timme sen och jag tror även att denna kan funka som unisex doft.

Hello. I want you to make a choice. There's a fragrance, which only I have the antidote. Will you purchase Bijan black to save yourself? Several are hidden around Internet. The clue to the order can be found at Bijan shop. Once you realize what you all have in common, you will gain a better understanding of why you're reading this. I think we can agree that your situation is desperate but its too late. I will give you just one hint as to where this frangrance is: It will be like finding a needle in a haystack. Let the game begin.

I enjoy this one once in a while. A cooler-weather fragrance, subtle and somewhat mystical. I doubt there is actually pine in this, and the vanilla is very slight. The notes voted for here are nearly the opposite order of what I get from this. There is a sweetness reminiscent of some medicinal herb, and no note pyramid. All the various notes waft about more or less constantly, and fade off about equally, together. This is a good buy.

Vanilla notes are very evident. Tge dry down is very dreamt. A bit synthetic thou. However, a nice safe romantic dinner fragrance. It reminds me of a glass of red wine ( cherry full bodied) and a hearty atmosphere on a winter's night.

Bijan Black for Men is pleasant enough, it just doesn't really stand out from my other colognes.

This has become a favorite and can be had for pennies at your local discount fashion chain. Essentially, it is orange, on top of pine, on top of vanilla. Slightly synthetic; but well done in that regard. Not a great earth shaker/life changer...but it definitely grew on me and has become a "go to". All season favorite.

Resembles Polo Double Black, but in a more chemical way. It's soft and stays close to the skin. Non-intrusive. While it's nice, I wish it had more personality.

A welcome everyday cologne. Inexpensive but not ' cheap.' Great longevity and good radience.
