DNA for Men 2004

I came to know this at random. I was shopping for perfume many years back and the owner of the shop I was at and he was my friend showed this to me and said this is new and smells awesome. Seeing Bijan brand on it, I was like why even he is showing this to me. He knows I don't like Bijan (the original) much. I got curious mostly because of its cool looking bottle. Once I sprayed it I was like wow! I had a big smile ear-2-ear on my face and I bought it. I am down with the original bottle and managed to get another before it was too high and I am using it now. It's a very unique smelling fragrance and I love it. To my nose, Curve for Men is close to this but this smells much much better to me and as mentioned by others, it lasts a long time. If you like a very clean and crisp barbershoppy fragrance then sure give this a try if you can find one at a reasonable price. Moreover, I think women can pull this off easily. To me it doesn't have a powerful masculine note in it.

I bought this blind buy on an auction site, for only a few £'s. Afterwards I decided to find out a bit more on the Bijan website and was staggered to see a $120 price tag ! Naturally I couldn't wait for the bottle to arrive. First spray was very dissapointing for me - a sweet candy shop type of smell that I've never really liked too much. I disguised it quickly with another fragrance before heading to bed. However, last night I thought I'd give it another try, staying in the house. Again, the intial overly sweet smell was ever present, although my wife commented on the very "clean" smell that I was carrying around. After an hour or so, the candy smell had developed into more of a laundry/detergent cleanliness (wife was right) - the sweet edge had tamed a lot, but was still present. My Wife made several comments that evening, being able to detect the clean fragrance as I traversed the house - she said she like it a lot. Having finally sat down some 3-4 hours after intial spray, I was pleasantly surprised to find the scent had developed into a pleasing woody, oriental musky type of smell (as the grouping states here). A lover of orientals, I found it immensely satisfying, although that synthetic candy smell was always present close to the skin. On this basis I've hit the "like" button. I would say projection was fair, as it could be detected several feet away, although after 4-5 hours it seemed very close to the skin and had faded considerably. Overall, I love the musky dry down - not keen on the intial sweetness - too nauseating for me personally, but no doubt it will excite others. I think it's the Jasmine note that's most prominent to me. I'll give it another dedicated evaluation next week and maybe update if I'm able.

I blind bought this one a ton of years ago. When i got home it only smelled as alcohol but the dry down is something else. It lasted ages as well. Got me compliments frequently probably very few people even remembered this brand. A relaunch of this product would be successful for those barber shop styles.
