I really like this scent, how vetiver, cardamom and bergamot surround the birch. On my skin, the freshness comes out more than the smokiness. It's not a typical fresh scent, it's very exciting and special! A very good choice for occasions and everyday wear!

One of the two that stood out to me initially in the Binet-Papillon line-up ( No.6 Cuir Grand Tigre was the other). Smoky vetiver with black tea-like aromatics, at least that's what I pick out. A little dry and raspy, it feels grey-green in colour if that makes sense. I love the smokiness here and it settles softly to a darker, near-black wood, like charcoal. Unfortunately on me the notes separate out, the aromatics vanish into my skin leaving mainly cade oil and birch tar, too simple and ashy on their own. After enjoying it on the blotter I thought this was going to be more successful.

Burnt newsprint paper with a touch of vetiver and bergamot. It's like what your clothes smell after sitting next to a campfire. Nothing exciting

Very linear fragrance of prominent birchwood and smokey incense with just a touch of bergamot during the opening. Not excellent, not terrible.
