Iris N' Wood

Exactly what it says it is. Iris and wood. It’s done in a beautiful way and is slightly reminiscent of LV’s Lovers. I prefer this though as it’s better blended and more rounded. I don’t get the cumin note, but as a scent, it’s beautiful. Longevity is about 6 hours on my skin with projection for about 4 hours. Just reapply and start the whole beautiful journey again if you need to.

I usually associate iris with classic, powdery perfumes, which smell like lipstick, but this one has nothing in common with the ones I know. Maybe it reminds me a little of Visionary eye because it smells like a green, wet iris, but otherwise they are not similar at all. As I said, it starts very green like the fig leaves, maybe a little bit of the milk that drips from the figs, but not when they are ripe. It has a powdery and woody touch, and after that green smell spreads, it remains very "dry". I see it as a woody perfume with predominant notes of cedar, sandalwood and iris, more suitable for a man than a woman. From this collection I prefer Cedar n' pepper, but they are all perfumes very well blended.

Fresh and green top notes: my nose smells some fig leaves and black pepper. Tender powdery iris with beautiful woods. But the dominant note here is a musky-sweet ambrette seeds (even though it’s not mentioned) that overpowers all other notes in this perfume composition. In a couple of hours it transforms into smooth milky sandalwood. The scent is complex and lasts for 8-10 hrs, so I can say the quality is very good. And my overall experience is also quite nice.

Very similar to Le Labo Santal 33. I had Iris N Wood in the past, and now wearing Santal 33. Both have quite the same opening but Santal 33 is more creamy in the base notes.
