Mornings In Milano

This is a small Niche brand. I first tried this fragrance at ScentXplore and fell in love. Bought a bottle and loved it! Shared decants with other and ended up getting a few more bottles. And after now having owned 4 bottles of MIM I can absolutely say there is a lot of batch variation. The first bottle had less coconut and more peach - BIG LOVE. Then another few bottles have a ton of coconut - not the good kind and also a more pronounced floral note. 1 of the 3 new bottles is a little better than the other 2. Definitely showing there is a discrepancy between batches. So it depends what you get, how long the fragrance was given to macerate. It almost feels like they tried to remake it and tried to do the recipe by memory without measuring. This fragrance has so much potential. Would love an extrait version with peach and vanilla dialed up. Personally I love the bottles and caps so wouldn't mess with that much.

Waking up in the morning in the city of Milan, standing on the balcony and being warmed by the sun's rays.... An unbelievably soft fragrance with exotic undertones, with coconut clearly present cuddled by a velvety sweet peach and delicate flowers, making it a composition full of serenity and well-being. Beautiful, sweet to the right point, warm like the rays of the sun that bring a beautiful smile to our faces. Excellent performance, more appropriate for warm seasons.

Very pretty velvet vanilla, warm and soft, not your typical tropical scent, way more sensual, this is imo full bottle worthy

There are no words..... The coziest, most comfortable scent bubble ever that is at the same time sexy as hell.

Tried it in the store, as im trying to revive my past love of white florals. Not exactly my taste, but definitely interesting, and I am surprised to see that there's no ylang in its notes, even though that felt like the most pronounced flower. Asked my bf for his opinion on this smell, he says it reminds him of a urinal cake Nevertheless my search for the new white floral love continues

I got a sample of Mornings in Milano when I bought other perfumes. On my skin, the coconut dominates from the beginning, and it smells a bit like suntan lotion; it kind of transports me to Summer days at the beach, under the sun.

You can find something cheaper that smells the same. I personally dislike this, my sister dislikes it too but my mom and brother loves it. It smells too manly for me to wear it. Someone else mentioned it would have been good if it wasn’t for that note and I agree with that.

As much as I wanted to love this, I must say it was a big disappointment. Who says Milan smells like the tropics? Come on! It’s pure coconut and in the cheapest way possible. The packaging feels so fragile specially the cap. It’s a big NO.

I ordered decants to try 8 of the Birkholz perfumes. Some of them are potent, some are underwhelming. This one ist beast mode from the beginning til many hours later, even overnight on skin and on clothes. The coconut is very present throughout and extremely sweet. I feel like a giant Raffaelo the first couple of hours and on the dry down I feel like a giant Piña Colada. I think it might be too sweet and loud for me but........ I layered today with another fragrance I am going to gatekeep because I am going to make this layering combo my summer signature scent. You can layer with whatever tones down the sweetness and overpowering coconut note. It's great quality for the price.

I don't know how I imagined Mornings in Milano to smell, but in any case I didn't expect a tropical fragrance. As soon as you spray it, you can smell the coconut milk and white flowers, especially gardenia, which I often confuse with tuberose. It is a sweet, creamy, floral fragrance that makes you feel like you are on vacation on an exotic island surrounded by ylang ylang and frangipani flowers. It's not an intense fragrance and it stays quite close to the skin, but if you like this kind of perfumes, give it a try.

This could have been such an amazing scent! If it weren't for that one ingredient that makes it "also suitable for men" 😢 I don't know what it is but more perfumes have this. The opening is really nice, sweet but not too sweet, a bit fresh and then after 20 minutes I am left with that overpowering scent that just smells really fresh and manly and I can't smell anything else. I'm really sad to say because I was really looking forward to this as all my favorite notes are there but this is a pass for me.
