Satin Vanilla

Smells like vanilla milk with a few rainbow fruity cereal hoops dipped in it to me! So addictive and very lactonic. Can’t stop smelling it.

Olí por primera vez esta marca en ECI con mi mujer, y fueron varias las fragancias que sin duda nos sorprendieron ya que no conocíamos la casa. En si, no es que sea una completa locura de evolución ni de originalidad (vainilla con vainilla y más vainilla), pero sin duda si que es un acercamiento casi perfecto a lo que debe ser una colonia de vainilla: gourmand, pero no empalagosa, con un toque láctico que se va haciendo cada vez más evidente en sus más de 6-8h de duración, hasta convertirse únicamente en leche con un ligero recuerdo a vanilla, casi salado. Es una colonia francamente bien lograda y que demuestra un excelente conocimiento y uso de los buenos materiales; es el auténtico olor de la vainilla que uno huele cuando cocina, no un recuerdo idealizado, sino la verdadera esencia deliciosa de la vanilla. Tal vez no es una fragancia predominantemente masculina (como suele pasar con las esencias de vainilla) pero esa aproximación realista y ese toque ambarino hacen que tampoco desentone puesta en un hombre. Yo no lo haría nunca, pues mi visión es subjetiva, pero si te gusta el olor de la buena y auténtica vainilla, comprar a ciegas esta colonia tampoco sería la peor de las ideas.

The opening gives a whiff of sweetened condensed milk, but it is very brief. It settles into a sweet milky vanilla with slight notes of rum. I am enjoying it, although I am not a huge vanilla-forward perfume fan in general. Not full bottle worthy for me as I already have perfumes who fill the role of this perfume better in my collection - though not the same, just slightly similar, they are Milk Musk EDT by Molton Brown and Lait Concentre by Chabaud.

It feels kind of like a much, MUCH, MUCH weaker version of Dior Addict at first (and not as good). I don’t know if I would’ve come up with that comparison on my own, but I saw Addict under “this perfume reminds me of”, and I can kind of see where they’re getting that for a sec. After that, it really quickly gets powdery and smells kind of like a drugstore brand body lotion, which has gotten old (and thicker) while sitting under the sink waiting to be used. LOL I guess for me it’s just a little boring and pedestrian.

A bit disappointed. Vanilla it is, but nothing sensational. Also, in spite of all described ingredients and notes, it gives me something animalic which I don't like. However, in dry down it get better but not great enough to justify buying a bottle.

This is a warm, elegant scent that blends a boozy rum with creamy vanilla, soft florals and a hint of spice. It’s smooth, comforting, and subtly seductive—like a cashmere wrap on bare skin. Refined without trying too hard, this is the kind of fragrance that draws people in and stays with you long after you’ve left the room. I love this vanilla!

Not that special, and I find the lactonic aspect not completely balanced. Expected more after hearing the positive feedback from others. I like the other Birkholz vanilla better - Vanilla Vibest. It is leaning more aromatic/spicy, but the dry down has something special to it.

I go nose blind to this fragrance pretty quickly . It’s kind of a boring vanilla , it does have a little bit of depth because of the pepper .. other than that it’s mediocre. It sits pretty close to the skin and I feel like it’s not a projecting scent.

I agree with the previous reviewer. It is a basic vanilla. Reminds me of Vanilla extract and becomes a skin scent, not that it needs to be a loud projecting fragrance but it definitely lacks that special quality I’m looking for in a vanilla scent.
