Vanilla Vibes

Lavender is very polarising for me: I either like it or I don't. And this one is wonderful: just the right amount of pungent, slightly vanilla, but with a very high quality one, so not cloying, and transporting you to the fantastic lavender fields of Provence, joyfully, dressed in white, enjoying the purity of that moment. Lavender is recognised in aromatherapy as a calming, feel-good plant, and that is precisely the effect of Vanilla Vibes. Smell it, and enjoy it.

Blind buy for me. It’s a very woody vanilla, that smells more like a green tobacco in the beginning, lovely. Unfortunately I smell some lavender and other herbs, no bergamot, and I do love this herbal opening. This is a stunning phase, and I wish it lasted. As time goes , the woods become sweeter and smoother, almost with caramel undertones, I can smell ebony guaiac and musk. It’s not a gourmand, and surely not a citrus aromatic as it is described. It’s more of a woody ambery vanilla. It is made in Germany. It has average silage. The bottle is cubic, with a cap wrapped in light beige, simple but elegant. There is a gold square plaque on the front. The perfume is not what I was expecting and hoping for, it doesn't have any of the freshness I was expecting from lavender, but it’s high quality and definitely a keeper for me. I just love the opening notes enough to keep spraying. On the box it says it was produced in 11/22, and it’s best before 11/26. Could be unisex too. Very nice, especially for cold weather.
