Nuit des Iles

Such a lovely and pretty perfume! I'm a complete sucker for plush, buttery vanilla, especially when it's combined with exotic beauties like frangipani and creamy heavenly tonka bean. They are gorgeous together! Also the Amalfi lemon in the opening is a brilliant addition - I must admit I love the opening a bit more than the heart and drydown, but all the development is beautiful to watch. The composition is a sweet, oriental-floral, a tiny bit indolic (just right to make it smell authentic) and it does remind me of Annick Goutal Songes quite a lot but I think this one is actually an improvement on it: Nuit des Iles smells richer, more natural and it's less dusty. It's immediately charming.

Nuit des Iles sends me directly to Tahiti. I swear I am being perfumed by heavenly scented flowers....

This is just a masterpiece by Bissoumine! BTW I think the brand is kinda underrated, at least for me Bissoumine scents smell very natural and are not as overpowering as other niche or designer brands, but they still last all day long. Exactly what I have been looking for. Nuit des Iles is a nearly one to one adaption of the white and yellow type of frangipani you can find nearly everywhere on the east coast of Australia. You can notice a bit of citrus and vanilla too, which gives it a comfy feeling. This sweet, flowery creamy scent brings back wonderful memories, and it's so easy to wear. If you love plumeria/frangipani you should try.

well, the initial blast, it smells just like the night scented stock in my garden...(could as well be that frangipani are similar)! very nice.

I think my skin hates this :( I'm getting baby powder. It's even dusty and powdery. Occasionally there's a hint of something floral or something darker and leathery and a really great coconut note. But mostly it's baby powder. After about two hours it settles to a good rich creamy vanilla. I'm sure this is great on other people.

Firstly, thank you so much Gorgonna! Well, this is BEAUTIFUL, it has light lemon/bergamot freshness, slight powdery spice (not identifiable as cinnamon directly but certainly dry and sandy smelling), then a creamy musky base with the frangipani smoothly floating along the whole way through the composition. Having tried Chanel Beige, chantecaille frangipane and Abanda Frangipani also thus far this is a very close second to Chantecaille, which is significantly more expensive. Nuit des Iles is a bit fresher. I would highly recommend this, the longevity is fantastic and the silage is just right, enough for spring, summer and autumn but maybe a tad too light for winter. This is a serious contender for my wedding perfume. Overall: 9/10

I am sure I smell coconut shavings in the top - not the intensive smell of coconut or the milkiness of coconut milk, but rather the slightly sweet, but dry shavings.. the rest is a bit hard for me to pinpoint, but creates the overall impression of vacation.. for me at least.. Edit: The base is almost exactly the same as L'Erborario's Muschio bianco, soft and sensual..

I think this is my least favourite from the line - I'm not very much into tropical perfumes. Nuit des Iles is all about immature, "green" tropical flowers which are somehow pinguid - oleaginous. I also smell something like a dusty coconut. An interesting proposition if you are tired with typical tropical scents: sweet, smooth and easy. This one is different for sure.

Anyone have a bottle of this I could buy? I can’t find it anywhere online.
