Love at first sniff! This is exactly what I've been looking for for all these years! It's fresh without giving laundry detergent vibe, it's powdery without being suffocating, it's a bit sweet just the way I like it. It feels so feminine, gentle and elegant. It's so addicting I cannot stop smelling my wrist. The longevity is astounding on my skin. I could still smell it on my wrist 24h 😳 after one tiny spray that I rubbed on my other wrist too. The sillage on the other hand doesn't seem to be huge, but I don't mind. I don't like suffocating peope anyway. I hope they never discontinue this 🥺

This is my current favorite warm-weather fragrance. It's a very summery, fresh scent that gives me the salty vibes of a dip in the harbor with friends on a Friday afternoon. Very moderate to intimate silage, but I love to wear this perfume for myself. Even though it's a summery scent, it makes me feel immediately cozy and relaxed. I can't smell it on myself after a few hours, but my sister recently asked me what perfume I was wearing - and I had applied it the night before!

Omg only if this lasted a bit longer... It's photorealistic sea water & fresh coastal air & salt. Exactly how it was described on the Björk&Berries website. I do agree that it's a bit linear and in my opinion disappears after couple hours. This scent layers well with other Björk&Berries scents such as Never spring and Violet sky. Highly recommended if you're looking to smell salty and fresh in a hot way for the summer!

This is a fig scent for fig lovers. At first it is more interesting by having something else too but later there's only fig. Smells good but not everybody likes this fig smell, like me when I first smelt a fig scent a few years ago. But now I think it's rather cool than off-putting.

Not a Perfume by Juliette Has a Gun if it was plant-y (not to be confused with grass-y). It's lovely, but that hint of Not a Perfume in the background is putting me off buying it as it's not something I'd wear on myself but I can still appreciate the scent as it is really nice

A juicy dip in the ocean. More interesting than I thought it would be. Wow, it's not entirely just marine or water, and I'm elated. It opens with a hint of salt but it's vibrant, bright, tart; and not as damp as I feared. The seaweed is tastefully included. Loving the mimosa sweetness and the green fig. That sting of eucalyptus is perfection! It's almost minty. And subtle green notes of violet with wafting spicy sage. It dries into a soft and refreshing crispness that's comforting and brightening. Only distantly aftershave. It maintains a brightness that impresses me as it wears; and it wears incredibly well on my skin. Not heavy or musky or powdery. This reminds me of Sh*tty Day from NOYZ, but it's more balanced and natural; like by/Rosie Jane's Lake. The tartness against nutty woods also brings to mind PHLUR's brilliant but discontinued Hanami. Natural, refreshing, tart. Probably my favorite from the brand.

This oddly smells like pears even though it's not listed as a note. Don't be scared off by the seaweed, I'm not really getting any brackish notes at all. It is just a touch aquatic but in a very soft, clean way. The tonka is subtle too, but I am getting a lot of the sage, a little salt, and the bergamot/violet/mimosa blended seamlessly. It settles into a creamy citrus. This is definitely one to check out if you typically enjoy Jo Malone scents. Clean and inoffensive. Fades too quickly though.

What an interesting fragrance. The initial spray was just salt and seaweed to my nose. I thought to myself "well, they took this ocean scent in a very photorealistic way". But the drydown? Hellooooo? This turns into a lovely, sweet scent, with a touch of tonka and fig. It is truly unisex in the beginning but the sweet drydown makes it more feminine to me. I would consider a FB, but Hydra Figue from Miller Harris takes the Top 1 spot currently in this category.

Mareld is literally the oceanic sister to In This World by Liis. Also the same perfumer. Down to the fig/eucalyptus/sage/floral note construction. In this world is a little more sparkly and juicy, reminds me of a fairy spa. Mareld is a seaside spa. It’s almost brined from the seawood/salty sea water accord. I can taste the salt in my mouth when I smell this. I’m not a beach girlie so I prefer in this world, but Marled is incredible and mystical

At first spritz I thought I caught something sharp and minty, almost like toothpaste. Then the fragrance settled with a dominant herbal note, to me like parsley. Once that had faded, I was left with a lovely, unusual green aquatic - salty without being astringent and rounded but not sweet. Definitely unisex; interesting for summer but I can also see this evoking a wintry seashore

The top notes are marine and fig. I don’t like fig—the sweet, milky scent is so heavy it’s almost unsettling. The eucalyptus inside is working hard to keep the fragrance balanced. The dry-down is quite unique—sweet with a medicinal touch—but the overall impression remains cool because the aquatic note lingers.

I spent all my summers by the Baltic Sea as a kid and this smells exactly like it - the salty seawater, the rough amber sand, wind and seashells. My only grievance is that this scent does not work on my skin - the bergamot ruins it. But I love this fragrance simply for the memories it evoked.

Very fresh and clean, smells like shampoo in the beginning, then eucalyptus and sage and a little ozone like after rain.

Opening was weird, but after 30 min, this turned magical 🥰

Mareld is like sea breezes blended with aromatic herbs, fresh and airy, with powdery floral notes giving it some weight. Imagine opening your bedroom window facing the sea, and this is exactly the smell you get in the opening. Salty sea breezes come right to your face, fresh and moist, with a hint of tart citrus. The salty ocean note is soon joined by aromatic herbs and powdery flowers. To my nose, eucalyptus easily takes over the spotlight, with its distinctive minty freshness and cooling effect. On my skin, the powdery floral notes stand out, which make it smell "heavier" to my nose. I think mimosa does a good job here in balancing the salty note with its woody green undertone. Honestly, I prefer how it develops on paper than on my skin. My skin somehow amplifies the sweetness, so it smells "thicker" on me. I am more in favor of the subtle sweetness in clary sage whose herbaceous facet balances the sweet creamy tonka beans. The drydown on paper is a lovely marine woody scent with subtle sweetness. Unlike some other bottles from B&B with disappointing performance, for example, September and Fjällsjö, Mareld has a decent sillage and reasonable longevity on my skin.

Pleasant and easy, uncomplicated, inoffensive, but also unsophisticated. Very marine. 20 minutes in, a sweeter quality emerges. It's not sickly sweet in itself, but will it become sickly with its persistence, rather than its sheer potency? It's almost like a generic Skandinavisk candle: nice, but not bold or daring. It smells like something one would wear to fit in with the prim and proper. It's safe, because you'd never stand out — but do you want to smell faceless and anonymous? It stays sweet but not overpoweringly so. However, I think it's going to be a no for me.

I wanted to like this so bad but it’s sooooo salty on me. Makes me sneezy. Sexy for a brine shrimp, not so much for my personal human skin. I either like or love all the other scents in the sample set though, so it’s probably a me thing.

Crashes in with a rogue wave of salty fig and ocean spray, an assault of brine and bitter, medicinal sting. Definitely resembling the antiseptic side of the sea, Mareld's opening is relentless; every note shouting of salt, a chemical echo of chlorinated water that just cannot let up. Half an hour into the chaos, a softer lick of mimosa and violet creep in to mend our salt-rubbed wounds—a gentle counterpoint, a floral lull in the marine storm. But even that barely tames the nauseating, foamy sweetness that lingers like over-processed algae (gaaaah). The herbal tones aren’t green or aromatic, but distinctly synthetic, a lab-made marine haze that leaves me disoriented to say the least. Fair enough. I’ve always struggled with marine compositions, and this one with all its turbulent salt and cloying sweetness, is no exception. Definitely feeling more hopelessly adrift than hopelessly enchanted.

Yup, I get the salted fig and light floral notes, the hint of sea air. There is spikywood/superamber in there; it fades out after awhile, but doesn’t go away entirely. I wish it was more sea air with less of the tarry woody alcohol smell with the light florals. For those who can’t smell the tarry woody spiky notes, which are faint but there, this will be a very refreshing and Springy floral. On full dry down, though I get wild blackberries on the green spiky vine feel, which I do like! Conflicted about this one, but I think overall I would give it a thumbs up.
