Violet Sky

First impression on paper was disappointing. Honestly, I hated it. It was so, so, SO heavy on the leather and smelled like someone spilled a few drops of perfume on a leather car seat. A few weeks later I decided to try it on my skin, and the opening was still almost 100 % leather. An hour later the leather had taken a huge step back and that's when the magic happened. I can't really explain what I'm smelling, but this is Scandinavian summer in a bottle! It's fruity, warm, summery (but not sunscreeny), festive and sexy in an understated way. It's not fruity in a fresh or young way, it's a very warm fruity floral with a sensual touch to it. I'm Swedish and this brings me back to summer nights when I was younger, partying outside, in love with life (and probably some cute guy). It's neither juvenile nor mature, this would probably suit all ages. Definitely leans feminine to me, but of course we can all wear anything we want. Violet Sky is the perfect name for this because I picture the Swedish summer sky at night when I smell it. It never gets dark here between May and July. Longevity 8-10 hours with moderate to strong projection. 9/10.

As someone very familiar with the Scandinavian summer, endless nights with the sun never setting - this depicts the scene quite perfectly. It's interesting enough for night time use, yet light enough for hot weather. It's not dirty or heavy at all, but I could see myself wearing it to feel confident. Truly signature scent worthy, at least for the summertime. It smells like walking home from a party at 4am, smoking a cigarette, not wanting to go home. I can see myself in the future connecting this scent to some very specific, happy memories.

Airy icy plum, high quality tobacco (none of that used cigarette smell), cold labdanum. A bit sharp towards the end, the reviewers who suspect saffron might be onto something. I find it funny how many people find it off-putting, I found it quite mild and pleasant. Could do with a little less tonka bean, I hate that sweet crap. But it's only barely there, so I'll cope :D Love that some people find it cold and unfriendly, which is exactly my vibe. Honestly, I live

I am surprised by how much I like this! I am usually not a fan of tobacco but in this fragrance it is a deep, fruity version rather than anything burnt or smoky. Then the dark fruits come through, ripe and slightly sticky but not overly sweetened. I can understand the previous comment about smelling plastic - to me it could be a sort of leathery, plasticky new-car note. I feel this is an unusual, fairly unisex, evening fragrance.

This scent is quite emotional for me - it reminds me of the scent of arts classes when I was a kid. The paper, the crayons, the wax based colours, some child friendly glue in the background. My favourite place. I am getting a sweetish, flowery, cosy and calming, with just the right ammount of tobacco. And yes, some plastic, but in a good way.

I actually really like this one. Maybe they reformulated it because I'm getting nothing but smooth saffron, violet and dried tobacco leaf. It's sweet and smooth. This and vanilla veil are my 2 fav from the house.

I find this perfume fresh, cozy, calming, a little bit nostalgic and emotional. It smells like the ink I used from primary school to high school. I still like to write with ink. I think it's pretty fresh and light and was surprised to find "sweet, fruity, amber" in the main accords. Maybe it's the combination of tobacco and flowers that creates the ink smell. It's light and airy but lasts pretty long, especially on clothes. To me this perfume feels like writing a long, intimate letter to a close friend with an ink pen on a heavy wooden desk in a quiet room.

Dusty violet with clean musky notes. Reminds me of Byredo Animalique!

A dark, edgy sunset. Immediately heavier and deep. It reminds me of a fragrance I smelled years ago, but I couldn't tell you what. Nuttiness, richness of labdanum. A touch sweet from the tonka, More powdery, slightly musky. Vanilla sings as it dries. Much more traditionally fragrance. Not my thing, but a nice warm night.

To my nose, this unfortunately smells like a hospital (I'm guessing it's the labdanum as that tends to read as a leathery medical smell on me). It has a very airy, ozonic quality in my opinion, a little fruity and sweet too. It's not bad and it's not for me, but someone who enjoys a fresh, "cool" scent might really enjoy this.

I like most of Bjork and Berries perfumes, but for me this one is very cold and unfriendly. If you ever had met a person everyone wants to be friends with but you get a very strong "something's off" feeling about them, and later it turns out that you were right, well, this perfume is that person's vibe.

Such a contradictory scent. I think there’s a tobacco note, but without any smokiness—just that slightly sour aspect of tobacco. The fruity part isn’t lively at all; it feels like an old, neglected amusement park, where once-happy, cute cartoon characters have started to weather and fade...

This fragrance smelled old and dusty to me. It was nothing like the fruity or sweet accords it claimed to have. The first thing that came to mind was cardboard. So, if you're looking for a dusty cardboard smell, this is the one.

I found it almost plasticy smelling

I have tried a lot of fragrances that I disliked but none that I hated... until now. The tobacco is so overpowering and the opening is absolutely disgusting. Once it dries down a bit you can smell some of the fruits but even that cannot save it. Big pass from me.

to me this is such an easy to wear, clean, pleasantly sweet, cold scent. to my nose its very similar to Teo Cabanel "Oh la la". might be the tobacco. this one feels more airy and cold though. i do get the "plasticky" note some describe but to me it feels nostalgic, like a polly pocket.

You're sitting with an impossibly hot man on a picnic blanket. He's reading Baudelaire to you from a leather-bound tome. You can smell pipe tobacco and sticky-sweet wine on his breath. You want to put your face on his face.

The last note definitely has a Safraleine - Saffran and Suede-like powdery.
