Jasmine Tea 茉莉香片

This fragrance is more of a tea fragrance than a jasmine fragrance. I can smell the jasmine when I first spray it, but it quickly dissipates into a true oolong tea scent with dried citrus notes. Imagine someone sprinkling dried citrus slices, like lemons and oranges, along with oolong and jasmine tea into a pot of boiling water. At first, you’d smell the jasmine, and the citrus would come across as deep yet still bright. Over time, the jasmine mellows out, allowing the tea notes to come forward while the citrus becomes richer and deeper. This is not a sweet fragrance by any means. I also own To Summer Osmanthus, which smells very sweet and bright to me. That’s actually why I don’t reach for it as often — it’s not sugary in the way that some Bath & Body Works fragrances are (those make me gag), but it’s sweet enough that I don't reach for To Summer a lot. Black Paw Jasmine Tea Dragon Ball is much more digestible for me because it’s softer, more mellow, and has a more natural dryness to it. Long story short... it kind of smells like potpourri (the fancy kind you’d find in bathrooms, but with a Chinese-inspired twist). I feel like this isn’t a fragrance you’d typically find on the Western market; it has a distinct Asian character to it. It’s definitely a skin scent — it doesn’t project much and stays close to the body. Honestly I bought this because I wanted to smell like Molly Tea; this smells nothing like Molly tea but it's still pleasant.
