Alice

I have owned Alice for years and surprised I never wrote a review. I fell in love with this the first time I smelled it and haven’t really owned or tested anything like it since then. I finally caved in and decided to use the rest of the bottle I had. Essentially this comes off as a mostly linear, spicy, floral scent. The carnation really packs a spiciness that is paired nicely with the rose. Maybe after an hour or so the spiciness dies down somewhat, but it is really the dominant part of the fragrance overall for me. At that time, I can smell a bit more nuance, perhaps the honey or bergamot – a tinge of sweetness – but not enough to change the major emphasis of Alice. I really don’t think I’ve smelled milk in a scent before, so wasn’t really able to pinpoint this within the composition. All in all, I love Alice, and will hate to see her go. *Salutes*

The opening of this really makes me think of Lush's Snow Cake or even Rose Jam, although I'm not entirely sure why. I guess maybe its just the similar gourmand note mixed with the floral, or maybe benzoin is a powdery sweet scent. Anyway, the dry-down in Alice is as other reviewers say, very strong baby powder. I do like the smell of baby powder, and the base notes here are a mix of that and something like a light sweet musk, which I do find very pleasant. I do wish the other notes stuck around, especially the spicy bit the carnation adds, but I think its just the nature of fragrance oils. BPALs are usually all pretty great on their own, but layering really does seem to add nuance to the oil and longevity to whatever spray you chose to put on top.

My favorite perfume oil ever. It smells like the sweet red cherries that sit on top of cakes.

This is mild and pleasant, there is a tiny bit of spiciness and dryness from the carnation, which is the most interesting facet of the perfume. It's fine, I think if this had more body to it that it would be more wearable for me. I think the honey note is the longest lasting, it seems to overtake the perfume as it sits. 6/10

This smells a lot like bain de Soleil, maybe a bit more sour.

I got this as a tester and it barely smells like anything at all. I'm getting a very very very subtle hint of carnation & rose but that's all I can really smell. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my tester or if it's actually just this mild.

Honeyed milk that turns very baby powdery. It’s a nice innocent fragrance that reminds me of Sweet Honesty by Avon.
