woody, woody, woody heaven. did I mention it smells woody? one of my very favourite BPAL scents, mine dates from 2005 and still smells wonderful. very unisex, very warm. very beautiful. if you like the smell of wood.

Freshly cut wood smell, takes me back to my father’s woodworking shop with lots of resins and sawdust in the air. Linear and evocative, reminds me a little of Bowmakers and Woodcut, but with more depth. A very natural scent.

Incense with a heavy patchouli end. Musky, soapy, warm, soft-spicy, clean, old, green, slightly-sweet and soft. Has a strong sillage and longevity. Reminds me of Givenchy gentleman 1974.

A blend of Indonesian red patchouli, red sandalwood, and frankincense." Anne Bonny This is another one that has grown on me over the time I've worn it. The first time I smelled it I thought it was quite medicinal, kind of eucalyptus. But over time that changed.... The Red Sandalwood was the most predominant note for me. Which was quite fitting due to the whole, pirate, wooden, ship kind of thing. The frankincense was also quite strong, but the sandalwood stayed strong all the way to dry. It didn't really change very much either and stayed quite linear, it was just a nice woodsy scent. I think it's definately a unisex scent aswell! Overall...I didn't find it amazingly special but it was quite pleasant!

This is my personal favorite scent from BPAL, although not the one I wear most often because it doesn't last a full workday and I'm too nervous to carry their bottles with me in my purse. On me there is a lot of the sandalwood and it's a very "wet" smell. I've been told by a friend that on my skin there is a faint dirt note and I agree. It's warm and inviting without being overpowering. It's unisex. I would like to try layering it with a floral note.
