Event Horizon

primissime note floreali di papavero e orchidea, in versione umida, nerissima e gotica, evaporano presto per dare spazio ad un effetto resinoso piacevolissimo e caldo, a base di benzoino e labdano. perfetto per il freddo, superconfortevole pur rimanendo uno skin-scent. nel fondo si percepisce un lieve tono legnoso. ottimo!

I think this is fine, but nothing what I expected. Well blended, deeply warm and inviting and also paradoxically cool and shallow. It's described as "heavy and oppressive" which is what I was hoping for, this isn't heavy nor oppressive, it's just a pleasant and actually LIGHT resinous perfume oil. 7/10

LAB DESCRIPTION "A disconcerting scent, heavy and oppressive, through which no light, no matter, and no spirit can escape. Black opium, labdanum, opoponax, black orchid, and benzoin" Opium is the strongest note here which I'm not a fan of usually. It just makes me think of an older classic commercial perfumes which I can appreciate but aren't my style.. However...the other notes give this a darker edge and a few people have mentioned the likeness to "Schwarzer Mond" and I can see the similarity, except Scwharzer Mond is more heavy on the Patchouli & Myrrh. This belnd also has this note I get sometimes with BPAL blends which I describe as...petals that have been stomped on in the rain. Kind of like wet petals. There's also a slight powder element to it and a sweetness. Which makes it alot softer but the opium drowns alot of this out. It's not really a scent for me but I think with the right chemistry this scent could be knock out!

Sweet, slightly woody frankincense-type resin. A thick sticky resin start, very hard to smell unless skin is warm, ends in a comforting vanillic resinous oil smell with faintest touches of what might be spice. Quite delicious, but very skinclose. Lovely, moody, dark.
