Haunted

This is a fragrance that needs at least a month of aging to blend properly. When first received, it is very powdery smelling, with weak longevity. Age brings out the rich amber and deepens the musk. Classic without being dry, womanly but not too dainty or skanky.

This is a beautiful blend of amber and musk. I love this. I prefer to wear this in the autumn and winter. It has moderate lasting power and sillage. If you like incense or resin blends, you will love this!

benchè nella piramide olfattiva compaiano soltanto muschio nero e ambra, io sento qualche altra nota, in particolare all'inizio. si tratta di sentori floreali, molto mature, insieme a un che di agrumato. questa fase è appena percettibile in termini di tempo, dal momento che quasi istantaneamente vira verso un muschio molto invasivo e piuttosto persistente, non molto gradevole per i miei gusti. il fondo è invece del tutto ambrato, e molto bello. perfetto per chi ama il muschio, io non lo comprerei.

This one smells like pure baby powder on me. It must be the golden amber.

LAB'S DESCRIPTION. "A mournful, poignant scent, thick with foreboding. Soft golden amber darkened with a touch of murky black musk". I luuuurve amber so had to try this. I'm not sure what the hell is going on with this but, when I first apply it I get this damp smell which I've smelled in a few other blends. It's like someone trod on some flowers in the rain and mixed them with musk.. I don't like it at all.. When it's drier, this is much much nicer. That would be the gorgeous amber on my skin warming up and pushing the manky flowers out of the way and letting the musk through more too. I even at certain points get a kind of Licourice note which is very nice. It's really really lovely. And a co-worker stopped me to ask what it was. It just softens and softens as it gets drier and drier and it just becaomes one of those scents that melts into your skin. It's really nice. Unfotunately though, the rotten flower note is putting me off wanting to get a bottle!

From the bottle: mm! Not what I was expecting but I’m getting a golden vintage scent like Shalimar. On skin: I love this kind of scent. So far it’s like a slightly lighter version of Alkemia La Belle Époque - my favorite Alkemia scent. I’m happy to find this since that’s discontinued - even though I have a backup bottle, now I know I can get Haunted! It’s a lemony, resin-creamy, wood varnish scent. Like Shalimar. So if you love vintage perfumery I’d definitely recommend this. The description doesn’t quite match to me - it’s a bright warm scent in my opinion. As it’s drying down it seems like a Shalimar dupe, exactly!

Opens bright and almost lemony, not at all what I want from amber. When it's well dried down the black musk comes out. I still don't get the nice deep oriental amber note I want, but I like black musk, so it's agreeable.
