The Jersey Devil

If you're femme, don't be put off by the "for men" part of this listing- It totally feels unisex to me. It's a great 'I'm a witch who lives in the woods' fragrance. It is a very 'green' smell, and it's a very fall/winter scent to me. Woodsy but not in a cabin way more in a that-one-spooky-shack-I-found-when-I-went-too-far-off-the-trail way, you know? It's not cozy and friendly. It's more like, mysterious chaotic neutral.

TJD is a very unique and interesting fragrance. I initially get a sweet and green scent up front with the tomato leaf blending with the cranberries and blackberries which are undergirded by the pine. The tomato leaf note is the strongest at first, but it's not out of place in this fragrance. As time moves on, the tomato leaf dies down and the pine and berries merge into a very pleasant mixture, only to be followed by the introduction of the cedar - a less fruity and drier mix. This is a very nice and different type of scent that I am glad I got to sample. I will have to add this to my 'to purchase list'.

realistica impressione di frutti di bosco annusati giustappunto NEL bosco, ossia con resina di conifera come sfondo. benchè il pino et similia mi diano sempre una sensazione di arbre magique, qui invece la nota richiama il profumo di albero di natale, quindi una resina piuttosto vicina a quella vera, che si fa man mano timida lasciando il posto ai frutti rossi, ben equilibrati, senza odore di caramella. si percepiscono anche le foglie di pomodoro che conferiscono all'insieme una vibrazione campagnola. molto buono.

This one was just okay for me, got it as frimp with an order. Dirty fruit and pine, with the fruit aspect playing out the strongest in the end. I'm guessing the dirty part was mostly from the cedar. I do really like tomato leaf scent, but I couldn't detect it in this. Didn't stand out in a bad or good way and definitely smells like a safe and unisex scent.

LAB'S DESCRIPTION "It was about three feet and half high, with a head like a collie dog and a face like a horse. It had a long neck, wings about two feet long, and its back legs were like those of a crane, and it had horse's hooves. It walked on its back legs and held up two short front legs with paws on them. The scent of the wild, hauntingly beautiful Pine Barrens of New Jersey! Pitch pine with blackberry leaf, cranberry, cedar wood and tomato leaf." WOW! Finally a pine scent that I adore. This one has turned me around in thinking that I will never really order anything with pine in. This scent is everything I wanted BPAL's "Bewitched" to be when it failed so miserably on me. Wet, this has deffo got a foresty vibe to it, it's pine but not scary floor cleaner pine, it's more real and there's a fruity berry there too, it smells more balckberry than cranberry though, and a slight woodsy note. Too much wood scares me too, but this? This is the perfect balance on me. Foresty berries. Now when it's drying it changes a whole lot... the pine fades slightly, and it's got so much more of a sharp tart berry bite. It's the cranberry. Then comes this smell that I adore. It sounds yuk but is lovely to my nose. It's kind of like a plasticy sweet smell. The same kind of thing as "Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo" or "Bordello". Yum yum! It's this with a slight hint of pine and the tang of cranberry. This scent is awesome!
