Pipe Bomb Blue

What I smell from this is aquatic plants, with a metallic tinge. This is my second wearing, and I am fascinated by this perfume. It reminds me of something, not sure what yet, I am still trying to pin down the memory. It is definitely an unusual perfume and worth trying. I really like this perfume and see me wearing it a lot in warm/hot weather. If you like water lilies or lotus, you may like this.

One of my new favorites. When you're so incredibly unique, you're bound to be polarizing; so, I expect to see some bad reviews. You've got to give Blackbird credit though even if the fragrance isn't your personal taste because they always stays true to themselves. They don't just create unique fragrances for the sake of being different - you can tell they truly love their creations and want to share their favorites with the world. I've never come across a house with so many fragrances that bring me so much joy. Pipe Bomb Blue is one of those fragrances. To me, this scent is slightly floral - reminiscent of violets with soft metallic undertones. Patchouli and milk notes mellow the fragrance to make it easy and light on your senses. I'm so in love with this scent and can't wait to see what Blackbird comes up with next!

This one is quite nice! I do not really smell the accords and notes listed. It is spicy, but in a cold way. I get some fruits, maybe melon or grapes and mint. It reminds me of a smoothie (I guess here is the milk note coming in.) A tiny hint of saltiness and metals. But no smoke/incense and no patchouli, if there are any, they are hardly noticeable.

Lip Smackeresque, Dead Sea grasshopper... saltwater, cream, and creme de menthe muddled with patchouli and ice.... So synthetic and moreish af Full notes: rare blue things, frankincense, violet, patchouli, saltwater, sweat, metal, milk

This was a very tangy, pungent, and synthetic strawberry meets animalic. It's definitely unique, but honestly, its metallic and bloody, a fake pathcouli smell that is very bright and fresh, there is no change, it remains constant. Masculine yet unique but not in a niche way. The notes are misleading, but i mean its alright, just a bit offensive and bold. Pointage: 1pt- cool branding & Idea, 2pt- after a while it becomes alright but still strong and offensive to passersby... 3/10 Update as of 6/21/2026: I just tried Secretions Magnifiques and it is MUCH better than this, please, dont get this.

the opening scent is vaguely similar to triton, a cold and powdery sweet iris and violet note. then i get a lot of patchouli with a minty, camphoric element to it. this goes in a totally different direction from the ambery warmth of the original pipe bomb, i don't actually think they're very similar. the dry down on this is nearly identical to that of triton, weirdly

I’m a big fan of blackbird. While I haven’t tried all of their fragrances, the ones I have tried are far from mainstream. They are expressions - artsy - if you will. In regard to staying true to their identity, this is an A+. But alas, a scent is still a scent. While smells do have the ability to be uplifting, sensual, playful - and a whole laundry list of other feelings, the user must feel that experience for him or herself. Anyway - enough poetic bs. I don’t like it. Not one bit. I’m not here to shit on this house - because as I said in the beginning, I’m a fan. And I appreciate a house that takes chances. This house isn’t in business to please me. They do their own thing - and sometimes people will like it, sometimes they won’t. And I also don’t speak for “people” in general. Just myself. The only fairly objective thing I can say about this is - the notes do not represent the smell. Patchouli? Where? Incense? You’re kidding. It smells like orris to me - and heavy. While it’s marketed as unisex - ehh - wear what you want, but far from traditional masculine. Anyway - even though I’m here semi shitting on this scent, I’d recommend you try it. It’s different and if we want companies to take chances and not release another aventus, bdc, etc... these companies need business. Kudos to blackbird for taking a chance. Not for me.

I am normally a big fan of Blackbird. I have several of their perfumes, and have tried many of their incenses. I love the original Pipe Bomb, and loved Pipe Bomb Pink, so I bought this blindly, assuming that I would love it just as much as the other two Pipe Bomb scents. I do not like this AT ALL. For me, I wore it once, and I will probably never wear it again. On my skin, it smells like hamster shavings, with dirt and a slight metallic scent. I don't know where or when I would want to wear this. Perhaps the scent is pleasant on others.
