Blinding Light

Tantalizing unisex tuberose. This seems to be a small genre with few fans (Nuit de Bakélite and Night Flower are the others that come to mind) but it’s a personal obsession. Perhaps the issue is that a sweet, feminine tuberose atop masculine leather challenges those looking for easy gender categories. Is it too masc? Too femme? In the overabundance of signifiers, the multiplicities of overdetermination, let’s just call it oversexed. I’m here for it 101%. This is the only fragrance I can recall actually dreaming about after I smelled it. It didn’t help that the brand’s sample sprayer didn’t work, so I could only get out tiny spritzes that left me more hungry. This morning I finally pried the top off the sample and dabbed away, and now I’m thoroughly, gloriously debauched in the stuff. Full bottle needed - if, after today, I can still handle this decadence.

Way better than beautiful monsters. This have a strong leather and floral undertones. However is not for me, i pass on this one. This house have Mr pink & Limewood. Both beautiful fragrances being Mr pink my favorite.

Liked the opening of this, something very biscuity with a touch of ginger and tea, and then moving to a slightly tropical and approachable tuberose. However it dried quickly to a sterile leather.

This is not my thing but it is very interesting. Any hobbyist would probably get some pleasure out of experimenting with this one. But for me, tuberose is always a risk, and I often don't commune with coriander. The biggest problem for me in this scent is that the opening reminds me of something very gritty like a mechanic's shop. The bike shop maybe if you were getting a behind the scenes look at all the repairs. That doesn't last too long and it sweetens up due to the coconut. But in the scheme of things it doesn't check the boxes for me. I probably would put it in the leather-forward or amber category but I have others I like better such as Cherry Punk, Byzantium Saffron, Wode, etc

Definitely has a blond leather furniture kind of smell with some woods added in, sort of smells like walking into a high end furniture store. Well blended but not necessarily for me. This is definitely targeted to a certain crowd but isn’t necessarily offensive either, sample first
