Un1t3d States Woman sings of spring, happiness, and joy—its combination of ripe sun-kissed apricots, soft suede, and creamy floral notes are pretty irresistible to the nose. It dances out of the bottle in a haze of bergamot and bubble gum, with a blend of citrus and mandarin, playing with their juicy energy. The opening is soft and sparkling, with a delicate sparkling citrus fruit similar to prosecco to kick off the party pleasantly. There is a rush of harshness from the blackcurrant leaves and sweetness, a syrupy and creamy sweetness, coming from the heart and base notes, which blend with the citrus and floral accords. The osmanthus oozes with its fruity facets, with shades of velvety peach and apricot. A mouth-watering, honeyed, apricot-peachy note adds a kind of floral fuzziness, a palpable softness akin to the skin of the soft fruits—the initial outcome emphasis on sugar, loads of sugar, at least in the opening. Once it has stabilized and the citrus has eliminated most of the fizz, Un1t3d States Woman’s central accord of poetic rose and iris emerges, showing sweetness and powder in abundance. The rosiness is dessert-like, evoking the image of neat rows of fuchsia-colored macarons decorated with tiny drops of rose cream. At the same time, the iris is powdery and suede-like with an almost nutty warmth. The iris is powdery, though it is not heavy with lipstick. Together they balance each other out, making sure the essence with cherry never gets too sweet cherry or make-up powder. Iris is an intriguing little beast. As one of the most expensive ingredients in perfumery, they often use it with a dabbed hand, and therefore, it can feel a little aloof. It is also complex with a wide range of fragrant facets, with an olfactory profile ranging from cold, grounded, and earthy—think of carrots and turnips plucked from the ground—to warm and purplish and talc-like suede. Gray is the color of the iris, in scented terms, and its neutral tones allow it to change shape and shade, and in Un1t3d States Woman, it absorbs the color of the rose to present a sweet and delicate powder in the brightest pink. As the scent dries up that nutty suede-like warmth, it takes center stage. Despite neither leather nor suede being mentioned, I get hints of this beautiful nuance, a sort of white leather if the leather smell had a color. Suede blends with the rich texture of vanilla to create a soft bed of lactonic and powdery sweetness yet is downright hot thanks to a hefty dose of smooth vanilla. A smooth leather touch is a fantastic base for this fragrance. It adds to the depth and mystery. The warm weight of the bottom has just a hint of patchouli tartness for contrast. Not earthy or dirty, but tamed, modern, and super clean patchouli, it ensures that the scent never drifts into the sweetish territory. At last, what remains on the skin is a mossy, creamy amber with sweet fullness of toffee-like nuances, so cozy and homey. Un1t3d States Woman dares to be lively while displaying old-school perfumery notes like rose and iris stylishly. It is super classy and can be an excellent choice to wear to the office, on a date, or casually during the cold months of autumn and winter. I am impressed by the longevity, it lasts almost all day, or night, depending on when I wear it. And the projection, albeit not suffocating, radiates enough to be perceived by people around me. A nice, or a better great bargain, definitely! I base the review on a 100ml bottle I have owned since November 2021.

This fragrance reminds me of the musk stick lollies we ate as kids. It's not overpowering but a gentle smell. It is quite long lasting so its worth the $$ you spend. My kids love it so there is sweetness to the fragrance. Overall - Positive.
