Eclipse

I didn't anticipate this fragrance to be as polarizing as it's turned out to be for me. I personally love this cologne. Having tested both, I've found that Eclipse smells a lot like MFK Oud Satin Mood but is much more potent and pronounced, maybe a little sweeter. It's a unisex, if not masculine-leaning, floral musk, to me. I don't really get any of the citrus notes, but that's also not to say that it's acrid or sharp in any way, like a traditional or pure oud might smell. It's smooth, warm, inviting and pleasant to my nose. I think it's a versatile fragrance for many occasions and envision myself wearing it to more business-type settings, like to work. My wife, on the other hand, detests Eclipse. Her senses process it as a dirty, wet diaper. That tells me she's more sensitive to the oud in this juice. My love for this fragrance hasn't wavered, but it's probably worth saying that if you're looking for a "safe" frag to wear to a certain occasion that would not offend anyone around you, I would probably not reach for this bottle. You (and I) might love it, but it's apparently a crapshoot what those in your vicinity might think.

"Eclipse" by Blend Oud is an absolute journey through light and shadow, and hands down, it's the longest-lasting perfume I've ever tried. From the first spritz, the burst of bergamot, lemon, and lime is like pure sunlight - bright, invigorating, and full of energy. It's a dazzling start that hooks you immediately. As it settles, the heart of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, and fig comes through, and it's like the moon speaking - seductive, mysterious, and utterly enchanting. There's something about this blend that feels otherworldly, like you're experiencing the night's allure in the middle of the day. But the magic of "Eclipse" doesn't stop there. The base notes - a rich tapestry of cinnamon, oud, birch, and a dozen more - create a warmth and depth that's simply captivating. It's like the universe wrapping you in its infinite embrace, with each note perfectly aligned like the sun, moon, and earth. I've worn this fragrance from morning till night, and it's incredible how it evolves and lasts, making it feel like you're discovering it for the first time, every time.

This is the real Oud stuff ... Sillage and longevity is awesome . 10/10 if you want good oud . EDIT : I agree with @jesienne.. very close to Roja Amber Aoud , but Eclipse is more potent and Amber Aoud is more wearable .. Amber Aoud has SEXY BOTTLE , looking at the prices they fall in Similar category . EDIT 2: I HAVE SOLD MY AMBER AOUD & AM KEEPNG THIS .. THIS IS BEAAAAST OF A FRAGRANCE ..HALF THE SPRAY IS ENOUGH TO CHOKE YOU & TONS OF COMPLIMENTS ALL DAY .

Don’t sleep on this. It’s an amazing rose-oud-fig combo with an excellent sillage. I had a person walk over from 6ft away and share how wonderful the fragrance smelt. Not as well blended and scratchy-synthetic up close compared to Ambe-Oud but gets the work done. Shukran Habibi!

I can’t describe how much I’m obsessed with this scent. It reminds me of luxurious UAE hotels or bakhoor stores. If you love these scents or the scent of good bakhoor, you will love this perfume.

This smella like Roja Amber Aoud even the notes listed are exactly the same. I prefer this one to Amber Aoud

I bought this one in the middle of last summer in a small perfume shop in Porttofino in Italy, but rather in an on the spot perfume shopping spree that did not make me really take time to assess it properly (like it happens when you find a shop with great perfume houses and great sale assistants that really take time to chat about fragrances in one of the most beautiful places in vacation.....). I bought it along with others and had a hard time to place it in a category - which is also why I bought it, more by being intrigued by it than anything else. Then coming back to my home in rainy north of Europe, disappointment - I was only getting a harsh woody and very lemony opening, metallic lemongrass actually, which was putting me off. What came afterwards was a very nice quality oud and (dark) musk base but the beginning was coming up way too harsh. So the bottle regretfully took a place in the cupboard and never moved. Fast forward now when sun is up and temperatures finally announce summertime, I gave it a second chance. And it works. The lemony opening is much more soft, elegant and balanced, the musk comes out powdery (but don't think powder notes, just not sharp or medicinal) and the oud is beautiful, non medicinal or barney and round. All this sprinkled with some rose and spices. Very beautiful, although for me it still remains hard to place because of the green lemony note that crosses the perfume from top to bottom and gives a dry fresh note to the otherwise dry oud-oriental type. They seem to master this duality because another of their perfumes from their Private range, called Mirage, it's an exceptional blend of citrusy notes (more mandarin and grapefruit this time) on a deep oud-amber base, a real beauty!

It is for sure one of those weird fragrances that I have tried. From up close it has a strong ylang ylang smell to it that I don't like and it smells somehow chemical. But in the air it smells amazing. I have a hard time to understand why and how this is so different in the air and up close. If you can stand not sniffing your wrists then I would recommend getting it but if you cannot like me then you will have a hard time if you don't like the smell up close 😂

I am in love with you... Outstanding opening with citruses, lovely Turkish rose and Ambergris note which suits really well in this composition. It performs like a monster, stays on the skin 24h+. Rose is always there until the drydown. Great night out fragrance... Rose note with ambergris can be challenging for some people. Definitely test it...

Bought this because of the reviews that say this is similar to Amber Aoud. I'll say the resemblance is 75% at best. If Amber Aoud was a refined, polished man / woman who comes from generational wealth, Eclipse is the person who tries to live that life. Too screechy and powdery. The oud used here is bordering into gasoline territory. Moresque Emiro is much smoother if you're looking for a scent that's close to Amber Aoud.

Umm. For lack of depth in this description, this is a pass. I believe there are better pure ouds, and if I'm being brief here, this smells like oud with animal shit on it, surrounded by flowers. The civet is.. not too pleasant. DO NOT blind buy.

I don't care for the rose in this scent and it overpowers everything else unfortunately. I won't finish the sample.

Eclipse is surprisingly good. I didn't know anything about the brand and received this as one of the random samples with my last perfume purchase. I ended up spending more time with this sample than what I bought. But I was haunted by the feeling that I have smelt this before. Only a few days later I picked up a discovery atomizer of Roja's Amber Aoud (I have a bottle but also wanted a travel size...) and ha! I found it. It's not identical but damn close. I get the same rose ambergris combination. Is Blend Oud a dupe house? This iteration has been dialed up in terms of sweetness compared to Roja's. It's much louder with great performance. Personally, I slightly still prefer Roja's Amber Aoud as I like things more subtle but when considering projection, performance and price point, this eclipses the original.

Roja Dove's Amber Aoud is beautiful, it's opulent, it's dark, it's mysterious...and it's out of my price range for a full bottle. I found this and I thought I'd give Eclipse a shot, so I purchased a factory sample. Honestly, it's not that close to Amber Aoud. I find this somewhat screechy. I think it's perhaps this particular lime note mixing well with the rose, as I'm not a big fan of lime generally. I've come back to my sample after months and still think the same thing, nothing has changed for me. That's the beautiful thing about fragrances, you may love something, and I may not really care for it. So my adventure to find an Amber Aoud replacement continues. I should probably just save up and get the real deal.

One of my favourite oriental woody fragrances with an ambery backbone! Eclispe opens with very "realistic" citrusy notes that linger for hours. The next phase sees slight florals emerging and the woody-ambery base staying on. I wouldn't care if there's any Roja's equivalent of this fragrance. This Eclipse is too good and suffices! I also love the fact Eclipse isn't available in "regular" retail stores. My only grouse is I wish this was available in more volume (of 75ml to 100ml)! I absolutely love Eclipse! I have a sample of Roja Aoud Absolute Precieux and I tried to find Roja but when I did find a bottle of it the cost was thru the roof. 1200 dollars was not going to happen. I came across Blend Out Eclipse and wow! Not only side by side my nose couldn't tell them apart Eclipse out performed Roja! I rate Eclipse 10/10. Love it!

My old reviews is under the name, sweet and strong. An update, blend oud is a powerhouse, that is similar too Tony iommi by xerjoff, but more oudy, less sweet and dark. This is better in the mid day then iommi, but kinda comparable. Iommi has a sweet, less oudy, more caramel cinnamon vibe, but other then that they are identical down to performance.
