#1451 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I got this decant months ago and am just getting around to popping it open. Found a bottle for $60 on Maxaroma and ordered it immediately.This instantly reminded of Anima Mundi "Dusara", a scent I really respect, though I prefer their "Ankh Sun Amon." This scent adds an incense note that enhances it's longevity compared to the Dusara. And something about papyrus always gets my attention. Maybe it's triggering memories of playing with "construction paper" in kindergarten, or the smell of fresh newspapers in the newstand I worked in as a nine year old, or making papier mache masks for Halloween. Quien sabe?. But the list of papyrus scents I love is so long I won't bore you with it (the list of those I don't love is very short: Born to Standout "Sex & Cognac." Just say no.) This stuff lasts all day long on skin and projects well for a few hours. Very woody. Same sort of scent as Atkinson's "Oud Save the King", Kalemat "Arabian Oud", Tom Ford "Oud Wood", Tiziana Terenzi "Wirtaner", all winners for men in my view. This is probably not something I'd wear in the carpool, any close space really. It will get appreciatively noticed in an open environment, but could be obnoxious in tight spaces. I do share Mr. Cornell's disappointment in the 60ml bottles. I prefer the 100ml sizes. I know it's purely psychological, but when my first bottle of a Blend Oud arrived, "Joy", I didn't feel joy holding that teeny tiny bottle.

Starts with massive doses of hay, after 15 minutes earthy-papery accords join the play (I guess it's papyrus) at some point it starts to smell as if you are chopping fresh bean sprouts,might be a green shaded and fresh version of oakmoos, after half an hour coriander appears on the scene, after 1 hour still no sign of synthetic or genuine oud neither patchouli, nor tobacco.No sort of insence is noticeable here.After that first hour it settles to an iso-E Super based designer crap. Nothing niche, nothing unique about it,nothing exquisite except the price 140€ for 65ml bottle.And the ingredient list is an utter deception.I used to adore the brand for their masterpiece 7Moons(currently my signature parfum) I used the of Teeb, Eclipse and Hour as well (which are not as smashing as 7Moons but still remarkable niche parfums) bit this one, noooo, a shame for the brand's reputation IMO.

Hoo boy - the papyrus note amplifies on my skin to 11. That + a bandaid-y oud + whatever else is in this thing = an accord that reminds me of wet papier mache. This is the first 20 minutes of wear. Eventually, the papier mache note fades and I end up with a dry oud-laced wood. If your skin manages to bring out some of the other notes better than mine OR you really love to smell like paper, this may be the scent for you. Not a hate - because the dry-down is wearable, but I'm not grabbing this one again anytime soon.

@ görkem.coşkun, your "review" on Safari smacks of puerility. Well, we're all entitled to differing opinions in fragcomm. I've used Safari and I love it to bits! The papyrus/papery note plays in early stages then the woody phase of Patchouli becomes really pronounced. I also get a hint of Tobacco and Oud notes in the latter stages. Very potent and long lasting as it stays on clothes for over a week! I've also noticed the oil concentrates is high. Safari's concentration should be re-labelled "Parfum" or even "Extrait"! Lol... My only problem is its size! This juice is available in 60ml. I wish they were available in 100ml upwards at least! It's a frag I'd love to buy again! Also on my list (from the Brand) are: 1. Oud al Emarat 2. Oud Sapphire 3. Sana 4. Oud Marrakesh 5. Bark 6. Eclipse 7. Safari

This is fine. I get vibes of Incident Diplomatique by Jovoy. It's like a cocktail of herbs, fruits, and woods. Quite an interesting blend of notes.
