Neon Violette

This is odd in a good way - trying these I've found the listed notes confusing. They do roughly represent the fragrance but the way it comes together is not as those separate notes but more a synergy as if viewed through wavy privacy glass. No samples available so thought I'd take the punt and put something wordy up here so people can have a clue what to expect outside of marketing blurb. Reviewing the roll on XdP here. It doesn't take much and it takes a while to bloom so go light on the application. Blew my face off with a wipe up after it had suffered a minor leak in transport, was only about a normal sprayer's worth. Lightly applied there's a lot to enjoy. In the end it does feel more like colours than that list of notes so achieves the stated concept. A bright green peppery ultra violet, with sweetly rich flashes of some neon pink in a way your mind keeps wanting to be vanilla/tonka but it isn't which keeps you wanting a little extra sniff to try to pinpoint it - the cover sees this as a sky blue I think. Think it's the fig-ambergris combination but neither is distinct, just addictive - closer sniffs are foiled by the pepperiness. All seems very molecular rather than natural but I think that helps the synaesthesia concept. The silage is gentle but a smoother pepper/violet and curious, almost creamy. Such a strange beast - looking forwards to wearing this on some warm afternoons and colourful occasions when it might really shine, but a little too experimental to be a full love I personally want to wear to excess every day. The marketing suggests this is an evening/night fragrance but I think its close warm zingyness sits better in the afternoon sun's warmth, might be different and jump off the skin more as a standard spray EdP as it's got that thickness I've come to associate with perfume oils. If I get through this at a reasonable pace I think I might buy it to find out but the price is steep when I can't test the EdP first. Wanders around unisex, depending on whether you're getting the peppery or sweet at any particular moment. TLDR: peppery green violet sweetsour. If you're after something really different and unusual along these lines reckon it's worth a go. Very sad there are no EdP samples. Update: after I said something about this I was sent a generous sample of the EdP and it is much better - a soft cloud rather than lumps of fragrance is much more pleasant. Bonus: The roll-ons of these were a mistake. They're 36% the edps are 25% - as they're so thick I'm finding them much more wearable diluted with perfumer's alcohol to 20%ish. BN could be saving money. Is more comfortably an evening fragrance when it punches less too

got to test this and, obviously, i went straight for neon violette because im a sucker for anything violet. first spray? magic. delicious. whimsical. i was close to getting the full bottle. buuuut thank the gracious heavens i didn’t, because the dry down... EW!!! imagine wet dog mixed with that weird musty metallic smell you get when you leave a damp glass upside down in a cupboard overnight and when you go to drink something from said glass it tastes like your inhaling swamp air. it hits around the 30 minute mark. devastating, truly. but silver lining i ended up grabbing grounded in the rollerball oil and it is bloody gorgeous. no rAgrets, only happy wrists.

This smell is super nice, fresh and fruity but it dries down into a really metallic smell to the point I feel if I was smelling satsuma juice mixed with blood this is what that would smell like. (NOTE: I am very sensitive to even practically non-existent metallic notes so I'd recommend you try find somewhere that sells this physically) Would not buy this for the price as the projection is non-existent

straight up orange peel!! sweet and zesty and the violet adds a depth to it! Its almost photogenic of the experience of peeling a mandarin and all the zest sweat puffs right into your nose!! I like it update: on skin it smells straight up like wet dog or just smthn so so wet and i dont want tht like im wearing wet clothes left in the washer for too long idk

Fig and violet with a hint of orange. Coconut adjacent, but powdery and cold instead of warm and creamy. It's feminine leaning. I detect a petrichor type note, something wet and rainy. Unfortunately I do get that wet dog type note someone else described.

This perfume is zesty, enlivening and bright. The ambergris warms and softens the inherently forceful nature of violet. Fig and orange hold hands dancing around the violet while the black pepper fights to stay as a heart note instead of just a top note. While I still do consider violet accords my arch nemesis, I like this perfume and would recommend it to my friends that want to stand out in a crowd. It it a fresh scent, eliciting the vision of a field of 10,000 violets.
