Saharet

I'm very confused by the reviews saying this leans masculine because I find this very feminine, it's just aromatic and fresh and spicy rather than floral. It's firmly unisex and I imagine the impression would change based on who's wearing it, but for ME it feels feminine. You get a big punch of cedar-y pink pepper in the opening, so if you don't like pink pepper, avoid this one. It's zingy and effervescent and maybe even a little bitter with the help of the orange. The cardamom gives it an aromatic quality and and the geranium gives it an indistinct florality in the heart. I do not like it when geranium is used as a cheaper substitute for rose but that's not the impression I get here. It dries down to a soft, well-blended mix of woods and spices, but never loses its slightly tingly quality. It wears relatively close to the skin once that initial invigorating spicy burst has dissipated and has moderate longevity.

This beautiful scent revolves around geranium covered with nuances of green rose and green cardamom softened by a juicy tangerine. The green side of the fragrance is reinforced with labdanum and a herbaceous vetiver. The base is smooth, warm and earthy with patchouli, amber and cashmere. I’m a sucker for beautiful green, woody and spicy fragrances and I think this one is really well done.👍🏽🥉

On me the cardamom, cashmere wood and geranium notes really shine through. It’s a little sweet, spicy, and totally addictive woody scent. I don’t get a ton of Patchouli, but the vetiver adds a nice depth. It’s maybe slightly more masculine leaning but still fairly unisex. Moderate projection, and great longevity- 7+ hrs.

This is a nice masculine leaning but still unisex geranium perfume w/ soft pink pepper and cardamom and a green vetiver. It reminds me of Blushing Sands by Estee Lauder but Saharet has a very deft hand in its creation. Blushing Sands is a nice perfume but compared to Saharet it has rough edges and isn't quite as polished as Saharet is. I bought the sample kit of this brand when I learned of it and the history of the Blocki name. I love history and think preserving historic family brands should be a priority. I was impressed w/ every perfume I sampled, and I would have to say this brand has a feel of class, elegance, style and taste from a bygone era but still feels contemporary and not stuffy or snobbish. This house is a must try for all perfume lovers. Impressive.

Warning in advance: this review is a weird one. So, I wrote down my initial impression of this a couple of weeks ago: dirty water, paint. Burping up cola, but not bad. Hard to explain. Suffice it to say, I am struggling to understand this perfume. I like that! I still very much agree with my initial assessment, especially the paint and cola parts. I keep thinking of giving away my sample, but every time I spray it, I find it weirdly addicting. I feel like I would just love to douse myself in it. You know, I was going to spend some time disambiguating the notes from my impression of it. I will say it's ambery, with a lightly sweet note and earthy aromatics. But no, it smells like burping up cola to me, and that is not a bad thing.
