The first time I smelt this I had a very strong revulsion response to it because the metallic note is so odd, and I think it is genuinely bloody, that the first spray just smells very 'wrong'. However, I think it really complements and blends well with the greenery and anise, and after wearing for a few hours it stops being unsettling and becomes very compelling to smell on your own skin. Tomato leaves are one of the main notes in one of my very first favourite perfumes (Nina Ricci's Liberty Fizz) - I remember how wearing it as a teenager made me feel grown-up and confident, and Blood Concept gives me a similar feeling: being able to wear something that's at once so alien and so physical makes you feel quietly untouchable, or at least that's how I found it. It's definitely made for cold weather, and for a wearer who isn't averse to coming across 'cold' themselves. I think when you get accustomed to it, the metallic note isn't inherently unappealing, just very weird to smell. To me, it's akin to the power of aldehydes, where the 'fizziness' can really catch you off-guard if you don't know what you're smelling, and although we're all used to them in classic compositions like No 5, avant-garde perfumes can use them to a much more disorienting, unfamiliar effect. The Blood Concept fragrances use metallic notes for a very distinct and intentionally polarising effect and I fully understand why it's offputting to a lot of people (including myself at first) but getting past that, there's very little that's inherently unpleasant to the smell, and it really does complement the green and spicy/anise notes they've paired it with in this scent.

Notes of basil, metallic notes, star anise and tomato leaves Green, greener and bloody. Sounds awful. Nah! Rather divine! Sharp, cold, tomato leaves with tons of basil in the opening. Then it dries down into a green (basil still alive through), yet sharp metallic perfume with a hint of anise. To my nose, at this stage is when it does evoke a hint of "blood-like smell" A dances between natural quality and synthetic nuances (comme des garçons anyone?). Love it and people around me love it too. Got lots of compliments while wearing this by ramdom people on the street, asking me was perfume was I wearing... Great lasting power, amazing sillage and projection.

I'll just kick off these reviews by saying that I couldn't wait to get my hands on these. I feared the (Blood)concept was a little stupid and gimmicky but hey I like the packaging and everything needs a gimmick sometimes to keep things interesting. Well I suppose it's as good a concept as any because I can almost picture blood in my olfactory mind. I enjoy metallic notes and more worryingly perhaps (???) kinda like the taste of blood. But before you get the wooden stakes and garlic at the ready...hear me out. Blood concept A opens with a lovely green note and the fragrance is pretty much based around this wonderfully natural tomato leaf smell which is shear magic! It reminds me a little of making vine tomato consume with a hint of celery and fennel...and the temperature of this fragrance is cold at all times. This is not necessarily the most wearable perfume around but I dig it. The opening then turns to a familiar herbal smell of basil with a fruity shampoo like vibe. It smells like freshly washed feminiine hair, head and all. Kinda 'natural meets unnatural'...If you get me? Then when it dries down a bit the tone becomes deeper, metallic with a hint of spice which truly does evoke blood. It's a really good and cleverly made scent which teeters between natural and synthetic. The drydown gives more of an aniseed quality and the basil is still going strong, which when coupled with the overall leafiness reminds me of fennel. Good longevity for such a ethereally light perfume but has the strange quality of metallic scents they don't project but stay close to the skin. Good first outing for Blood concept, gets my approval definitely not for everyone.

This is an interesting one, just not too impressive. It is growing on me, but I just wish it was stronger. After an hour it turned into a skin scent. The opening is a blast of bubble gum sweetness. My gf said it smelled like a popped a Hubba Bubba gum bubble. After 15 minutes, it starts to dry down into this aromatic and green scent. Very herbal and more fresh. After that initial hour, it is barely noticeable, except as a skin scent. The bubble gum sweetness is back, it becomes a bit woody, there is some star anise, and a very tiny metallic hint. It smells very youthful, fresh and a bit juvenile. In the end, a clean scent with sweetness that reminds me of a higher end body wash. I wish it was stronger and lasted longer.

After 5 testings, I've finally decided to make this a part of my collection. Unlike others, I enjoy this one very much. Before I was ever made aware of a blood concept, I always loved my veggies in my diet and I've always loved green fragrances. This dates back to my early childhood, my mom and Chanel No. 19. The tomato leaf and basil trigger thoughts of me falling in love with Hermès Un Jardin Sur Le NIl, the fragrance that sparked my passion for perfume of a higher quality, for the very first time. For me, Blood Concept A hits the spot. It's more comfortable/casual to wear than most of my other green fragrances and the metallic notes prevent this from smelling just like every other green out there. I like it.

What an unusual idea. I'm a bloodtype 0 but this perfume for A-s makes me curious because of tomatoleaf note. And anise is my other fav,so I'm excited to get it :) I hope I don't have to exchange my blood to use it :))

This is rather likable! Has 2 seconds of a sour apple at the start, then mighty basil and tomato. Anise is very very faint, and looks like the metal notes never survive on my skin.

This is a weird scent that grows on you. I screwed my face up when I first smelled it but by the 3rd time I was quite into it. Would be good on a hot day I think. Not that there are many of them in Northumberland UK but hehoo.

I understand what the attempt at the Blood concept was supposed to be, and I appreciate that fact, but so far as this fragrance goes, it does not represent this line as any type of chef-d oeuvre (some say the others are better). A opens up with a gardener's dream of basil and tomato, which to say the least, is odd. I mean, it is different, but that is about all the top notes have going for it. Sometimes different isn't good, and in my opinion, this is the case here. There is a reason why a gardener washes up after a day's work - because no one wants to walk around smelling like basil and tomato. The middle notes consist of apple and pear. I generally like apples and their scent, but I am not a pear fan, so maybe others may like the middle notes. I do not like the apple/pear combination. The pear sticks out too much for my taste. The base notes are supposed to be star anise and something metallic I believe, but I did not smell much past the apple/pear. Pretty good longevity (if that's something you want out of this fragrance) - couldn't get a good read on the sillage. To top off this unique fragrance is a 'unique' price, about 135$....a stinky price for a stinky fragrance.

So technically, this should be working the best for me. And, well it strangely does out of the whole lot, although I am nowhere near buying a bottle, or even a sample of it. For the first half an hour I actually thought that magic happened and perhaps the whole blood concept is not just a smart marketing trick, but all in all, type A is still a bit disappointing. The whole thing starts uber promising. I am not a huge fan of fresh, green scent, but here the tomato leaves and the grassy notes were simply brilliant. Fresh, vibrant, invigorating. And then the metallic note starts creeping out from the darkness. Cold and unpleasant. And it takes away the freshness and happy memories, instead adds a touch of creepiness, hospital, Dr Frankenstein's laboratory. I do not find the metal appealing at all, I am sorry. If I wanted to smell it, I would just stick my nose to my door knob and smear tomato leaves on it rather than pay 100 euros for it.

Blood Concept A smells like freshly cut grass, tomato leaves, fresh picked basil, and a nosebleed. It's a bitter, metallic, and astringent fragrance that doesn't smell like it was ever meant to be worn. This feels more like conceptual art than perfume, which should be no surprise seeing as this entire product line is called "Blood Concept." It's shocking and unpleasant, but it's also unlike anything else I've ever smelled. It's definitely worth checking out, but it's not something I would consider purchasing.

The opening is better than the drydown. In the opening I get the clean metallic note with tomato leaf and basil. It’s nice because it doesn’t veer too much towards cannabis, as many herbal perfumes tend to do. It just smells like clean herbs with a metallic blood like tinge. But then in the drydown, the sweet green notes take over and it’s too synthetically sweet, which kills it for me.

The Blood Concept Type A is a green, natural goodness mixed with a weird metallic note. There is something odd about this combination. It is like those two are in conflict. At first the scent is natural, green and tender but then the metallic note slowly creeps into this scent and overpowers it completely. It is like the nature is desperately trying to survive the metal grips of human civilization and it loses the battle. I don’t think that this is what the creators of this scent had in mind but this is how it smells to me. Overall the composition is not bad but it does not work well for me. I like the opening a lot as it smells natural, herbal, green and fresh. I normally dislike basil and tomato leaf but they are nice and fresh here. It smells like summer morning in the garden. And then this metallic scent appears and it is just creepy here. It is not as futuristic as in Type AB but still it is evil. Why does it try to kill the green goodness? In the end, it completely takes over and I am left with a strange, artificial metal scent with generic green accent which no longer smells like nature. Overall score 6/10. The sillage is nice. The longevity is average. This was an interesting concept but not as daring as AB and not as wearable as B or O.

Hot summer of central Russia. Evening coolness (if you can call cool at + 28-30 centigrade) after a hot day. The grandmother waters the garden, the garden with tomato tops and other vegetables, from the dust poured in with water it smells of ozone and smells like ripe apples. And after all, a shower with shampoo "nettle" (remember a large transparent bottle with a dark green shampoo, adored this smell of "purity") and immediately it becomes easier on the soul and more invigorated to the body. These are the associations that caused this fragrance. I was very surprised that there was no apple in the pyramid. The first moments are greens (just something nettle-tomato) with an apple. I have never met such sweet greenery in perfumery before this aroma. Can you imagine the sweet greens? Personally, I do not, t to the greens inherently bitter, tart, but not sweet. And then once, and apple-nettle greens!). In general, for lovers of greenery and fruit)) but more to taste gourmets! ) very positive flavor, definitely for the summer! With persistence at least average, but still leaning towards strong. Well, in the end - APPLES, mountains of apples! By the way, I didn’t feel any metallic notes here, as did basil.

Among the whole line "A" is surely the less intersting and, from what I learn reading the fragrance introductory brochure, should represent the bound between mankind and nature. It strikes as an aromatic green composition where (extremely) synthetic basil and tomato leaves are joined by a fruity apple/pear accord that's so badly executed to make my hairs raising (despite any fruit note is listed among the ingredients). The usual metallic /blood vibe is emphasized by the fruity undertones and turns to be unbearable. Smells somewhere between a cheap drugstore shampoo and the Pear Nectar by Petit. Meh! Nowhere close being simply weird, just gross! Rating: 3/10

I must say, although I like O and love AB, I'm not much taken by this one from their range. I loosely get the tomato leaf and I can sense the green and metallic notes, but this really doesnt smell much like a perfume to me, rather a cleaning product in a futuristic kitchen or guest bathroom.

I believe the concept of this is bogus.I am an A+ blood type and none of these notes come close to working for my chemistry except for star anise.The fragrance notes that suit me are fruity,citrus and spicy.All are warm fragrance notes.I have never been able to wear a green fragrance.

i love this product .. i came across it a long time ago in a store an i haven't able to find it. its has a different smell an i love that its unisex. very unique and amazing fragrance. I recommend if your into unique smell ... who wants smell like everyone .. not me...

I'm sorry, but to me, all four of them, are softer or a bit stronger variations of the monumental Secretions Magnifique. Instead of paying shit loads of money on them, get the real stuff for 1/3 of the price.

Very unusual, but much less weird than expected based on the concept and the bottle. Quite harsh on my skin but calms a bit down and you smell for hours the fresh greenness of tomatoleaves.
