Agarwood Collection Provocative

It's towards the end of Summer here now, and it's a beautiful sunny day of 26-28 C, with a slight, mild breeze. I've had the pleasure of holding a bottle of this for about 3 years now, and it's days like this that, when I wear it, the scent just blows me away (often those around too). You need a bit of heat on it to get all of those aromatics out in force, but once they do a symphony does indeed play out (in the air) against the 'slight minty creaminess' and the warm musky/amber, oud and peppery base. It's one of those scents that you'll be walking along wondering what smells so good, before realising that it's actually what you're wearing. Wonderful scent and rare, if ever, to find it on others. A 'grower'. Extravagant, yet understated? Yes. Quite versatile also. There's not a lot written or recorded on this piece as far as I saw a few years back, but all of it, at that time, was accurate. My only complaint is that the spray nozzle on my bottle was unbelievably cheap and lightweight, given the very high cost of the fragrance. The first time I pulled the bottle top off it took the spray cap with it. I was mortified. Made me think seriously about this brand, in general, even though the 2 juices I own are great loves and quite unique. My other piece has a better spray cap.

As you spray it, you smell fir laying on some kind of thick base that you can't figure out. Then it disappears... and you wonder whether yr skin ate it all up... you can spot the oily stain where you have applied it, but nothing... in a matter of some long minutes, a half good hour, it comes back and it does it powerfully. The fir keeps playing the orchestra with the other players being spices, hot spices, as the one you use for cooking some hot Indian dishes... I do not detect Oud, though this fragrance belong to the "agar wood collection", but it might very well be my untrained nose' fault. Anyhow, I like this concert very much ..

Excellent performances. After the opening that lasts and lasts, it is very nice, but I don't think I'll buy a bottle because of the price.
