I bought this after sampling a leaked vial, therefore I could only smell the drydown which seemed promising. I must admit I was a little disappointed when I received my bottle. My wife loved it so I stashed in her wardrobe. After four months I decided to take out the bottle and give it a sniff agian. Le and behold I was blown away by the smell. The juice has matured/macerated and the oud has somehow barnyard vibe to it highlighted by a sour, aromatic and bitter pineapple tone that brought a warm, light and comforting perfumed sensation. I would classify this as an ultramarine scent. A naturally hypnotic, this conjures up images of gentle waves of the ocean which hides an essence of sensual, attractive and deep feelings. Without a doubt there's no other perfume like it. A true strength of the ocean 💙

I love this but it’s not what I had expected from the usual bold richness from Boadicea The Victorious. This is feminine, fresh, dazzling and lasts forever. It stays atmospheric throughout, as if the bright aquatic notes are twinkling off of my skin. The oud is bright, light and sparkles/soars high like an aldehyde. This is the smell of bright sunshine reflecting on the sea and catching your eye. The dry-down brings a slight metallic aquatic element with a slight hairspray vibe. It’s great and thoroughly wearable, this could easily be my everyday scent.

My first Boadicea and a beautiful fruity-floral-woody fragrance with an aquatic vibe.🍍🌳🍍🌸🌊🌸😊 This is a beautiful aristocratic aquamarine scent with a nice pineapple on top of Oud and a musky ambery base. Azrak means blue in Arabic and this fragrance is a another blue beast like the one of Amouage in terms of performance. Please do not overspray during summer because this juice has legs!🦵🏽🦵🏽🦵🏽👑👃🏽🧨💣😁 It is one of Boadicea’s best seller and I can understand why.Thumbs up!👍🏽

April 27, 2023: beautiful fragrance with super realistic Jasmin note, fresh and soapy at times. there are fruits in it but it's mainly a fresh fragrance with some amber undertone in the dry down. I will give it a 8.5 bc of the hight price tag otherwise could be a 10/10. 5/1/2023: I definitely think this is better in the opening than the base. And it’s not as potent as it used to be. So over all 7/10 ( I’m not in love with the dry down ) not a most have from the house.

I really don't know what to do when my sample runs out. This fragrance is fantastic, I got a crush on it, but costs 240 quid a bottle. The description in the sample says it's been inspired in the sea surrounding the British Islands. It reminds me of a sea, indeed, but I picture a sunny Mediterranean place, a town of white houses with blue roofs like Santorini. I can smell the salty water and the hot sand washed by the waves. A beach to run barefoot across its shore.

This stuff is divine, it's perfectly blended and from start to end you smell citruses,florals and woods alternately which prevent it from being boring or one dimensional. On me performance is mad, not sure if this project's far away but I can smell it easy for 10h leaving sillage wherever I go. Its expensive but not that overpriced like many other Boadicea offering's and can be found in groups for less than retail. I give it solid 9/10 and adding to buy list.

Not at all what I was expecting. This is a very floral, musky scent that is clean and reminds me of drier sheets. Wouldn’t mind this on my wife, but it’s definitely a no for me. Edit: after wearing this in the heat and humidity, I bought a full bottle. In the heat, this quickly turns into a blue scent with an oud edge.

Very beautiful fragrance. Lots of citrus and white florals. Jasmine plays a dominant role here.

Very unique and long lasting. I couldn't find any pineapple in it.

An enchanting and unusual woody Oriental, Azrak (Arabic for Blue) is an ocean of dreams in a bottle. The perfume opens with a fresh gourmand burst of pineapple, bergamot, lemon, cardamom, cinnamon and cassis. The mostly floral heart reveals jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, rose, violet, and slight pepper. The perfume settles into a gorgeous woody powdery base of oud, amber,musk, cedar and sandalwood. An energizing rather safe beautifully blended masculine leaning Oriental scent which has moderate sillage/projection, excellent longevity (over 12 hours), and can be easily worn in formal settings, this is another great offering from Boadicea. Enjoy!

This fragrance is a true testament to me that tastes can change and your nose can evolve. 4 years ago when I first tried this I thought it was off putting. Now sampling it again from my vial I really appreciate this now. A complex fresh/floral/slightly woody scent that doesn’t really smell like anything I’ve tried before. It’s definitely likeable but not a love for me to get a full bottle.

Beautiful. Complex. Lots of citrus up front, but I also got jasmine immediately. I know lots of people are saying the wood is overly intense, but on my skin I didn't get much wood. That's odd because my skin loves woody base notes. Nevertheless as a citrusy floral scent it was very pleasant.

Fragrance DNA is not that appealing to me atleast. Lasting and sillage are quite strong. People who are not fragrance junkies will find it quite appealing since it leas on fresher and bluish territory.

goes on alcohol with hint of citrus then sweet and floral, the oud is always there, dries down a little woody but remains a hint of sweetness

Blind bought full bottle based on hype and promise of summer scent with tremendous performance. Immediately regreted it. First of all, I don't know who saying it is summer or mostly summer frag. Either people who never tried it, had wrong sample, or kind of people who walking around attacking everyone's noses in summer with outright offensive rose/oud frags that would be too much even for cold spring day. Despite of my best efford to love it, and trying it at least 3 times in each season, best I can give it is a like for fall and winter use. I must admit, though, if you love rose/oud frags, this is one of the best on the market when it comes to quality, and performanse indeed is great. I'm not a big fan of either oud or rose frags, and even less so oud/rose combo. Unfortunately for me, outside of first 20 min, all I can smell on my skin is mercyless oud and rose... with a hint of oil paint thinner later in drydown when wearing it in warmer weather. Other problem with buying it, there are dozens Middle Eastern frags almost identical to it, some equally good in quality and performance for 1/3 of price of Azrak, others are lower quality but are 1/20 in price. I used to have $5 air freshener from Nabeel that in the air smells 80% like Azrak and all other oud/rose ilk. Lastly, to be honest, unless you're dressed up like you're rich AF, if you would pass by me wearing Azrak, first thing come to my mind would be: "Ewww, is it under $20 Middle Eastern oud frag, or is it $6.59 Al Rehab or Nabeel oil?"

Disappointed. After reviewing the note breakdown, I really thought this would be right up my alley. I blind bought it for $135 and I am glad that I didn’t spend any more than that. It’s not a bad fragrance, but the opening citrus is gone as fast as you can raise your arm to sniff. Immediately, you are left is a mix of florals dominated by rose, actually a creamy rose. It’s not hand lotion, but it’s along those lines. The oud is barely present. I am not a super oud fan, but a little more oud would have been welcomed to break up the florals. Do not trust the Fragrantica gender profile, although it can be unisex, it’s definitely feminine learning. Rating 6/10.

Smells like a floral soap to me. The opening is nice with fruity citrusy florals but soon after this become a lot powdery and smells like an expensive soap and nothing else. Expensive coz the blending is good. Performance is overall good. But the price point is higher.

I have to agree with Brad11 ( previous review)completely! No citrus, not for summer, not for men. Fragrantica got it all wrong here :(

Very feminine aquatic scent. Not bad but WAAAAAY too heady for this man. I do get hints of pineapple but the floral notes dominate here. Guys beware, ladies enjoy! No idea about longevity or sillage cause I scrubbed it after 15 minutes... Too girly!

This smells very cheap and flat. Its that headache inducing syntheticwhite musk thats so popular in the middle east. I don’t understand the hype and price tag. Total disappointment.

This was the last of my 4 sample from the company and it is not only by far the best of the bunch, but by far the best from the company itself for me. And actually one of the finest-made aquatics I've ever had the pleasure of trying. Yes, this is actually a regal, aristocratic aquatic! It somehow manages to at once be fruity, floral, aquatic, citric and ambery-smooth. And it's pretty wonderful. What I first notice on skin is the rose and citrus (lemon or bergamot) that instead of the boring and commercialised/corporate calone or melon, uses pineapple instead to flank it. And it's a Masterstroke: it sweetens and balances the citrus and lends an amazingly playful yet purposeful fruitiness to the mix. It's much better than Aventus' smoking chimney and having to sweat and strive to 'hope and pray for that fruity batch'. It's also very smooth (an aquatic should not be spicy at all at the start at least) and unusually for Boadicea (and thankfully for me), it tones down the powdery florals they love to flood the scents with. Instead you get the expected rose and violets lending their expected 'watery and petals' effect to the aquatic build. This is well blended, thought out and constructed to be the people-pleaser, and why not? Boadicea have great potential in the fine Quality ingredient they use and photorealisitc essences (that are better than Creeds btw) and it's great to see it all utilised here in a more 'accessible' scent profile. Flaws? I would have liked more pineapple, some of that fleeting cinnamon spice you have to otherwise search for and maybe adding vanilla and even some woods to weight down the florals in the mid would have been a bit of a better But overall, I'll have to say well done to them. The 100ml bottle is still very expensive (well north of $200) however. For the summer and spring, this one can really see some proper wear. I'll be generous with this one. My rating: 7/10

This fragrance really reminds me of those magazine perfumes from my youth. Something very much in the style of old Avon or Oriflame scents. I can smell citrus, pineapple and florals all blended together, creating that unmistakable mass-market vibe of the early 2000s and around the 2010 era. It is not exactly retro and not truly old-school either. Instead, it smells like the glossy fragrance aesthetic of catalog culture, lip glosses and scented magazine pages from that time. The scent feels simple, familiar and slightly nostalgic, but without much depth or uniqueness.

This fragrance is so gorgeous to me. I love the rose like opening that stays on my skin for about 2 hours, with great projections. The magic comes in the mid and drydown for me. There is this creamy sweet/spicy woody note that I get with a hint of rose in the drydown on my skin that is absolutely magical for me. That is my favorite part of the fragrance honestly. I receive compliments everytime I wear this fragrance. Projection 2-3 feet Longevity 8-10 hours depending on the day with wafts in the air. Compliments are amazing drydown is magical

erba pura or amber oud gold edition + creed milesime imperial layered thank me later save alot of money end of the day is all about the juice not the fancy bottles they are blended when do a side by side same blending longevity is beast the creed provides the marine salty air that you get from the base of azrak also the oud is not so heavy so barely noticeable

beautiful rose and much more . the brand of boadicea is expensive but it is not over priced. there is nothing synthetic or chemical about it just pure wonderful rose picked very very well ,the scent is stunning oriental longevity and sillage are very lasting women and men can use it. use it spring and winter time . happy sniffing

Aromatic aquatic with rose, patchouli and cypriol-like facets. Combining two styles here, which is cool but both are archetypical for themselves, which isn't as cool. With 2 small sprays it's quite potent and forms a clear scent bubble around you without feeling harsh or overpowering.

the perfume is so amazing .. ive never smelled like this before ..unique ..like an ocean ..longevity is 10/10 sillage 10/10 updates 2018 : i don’t think it is very long lasting i guess it’s Moderate so i would give it 7/10 for longevity and 8/10 sillage

Not that special. Smells like a weaker Clive Christian composition. A light oud mixed with lily of the valley, pineapple and cinnamon. It should evoke the blue color, once azrak means blue in arab, but they did not accomplish the task. Sorry!

Has that DNA of designer scent. It is a little similar to Versace eros pour femme but Azrak is a little more masculine (just a tad bit). I don’t know if it’s worth the price tag even it’s discounted....

A big no for me. Good quality but almost totally floral for me and feminine. Lily of the valley, jasmine, Cassis, and violet. I don't want to smell like this. Good strength though.

Smells like Versace Dylan Blue for her or one of the other fem leaning ones. Not terrible but not for that price.
