Joyous

@Greyfax There are two separate entries for Joyous because, incredulously, Boadicea The Victorious at one point released TWO separate fragrances named Joyous. This version of Joyous did feature Indian saffron, agarwood and myrrh to create this resinous, smoky and slightly sweet aura. I know because I purchased a sample of it and looked to see if I still could get a bottle, even though it was discontinued. I purchased it overseas from La Maison du Parfum and received the other fragrance, a white floral, orange blossom and neroli scent. After some research, I found out that the white floral version was part of a localized Italian line to commemorate the Mediterranean culture before being made available worldwide. Additionally, I know someone who purchased this version. Boadicea is notorious for its massive catalog and tendency to release "collections" that sometimes overlap in naming before they are fully finalized for global markets. In this case, it released this white floral fragrance in the spring of 2019 and the saffron and agarwood fragrance that fall as part of the Spirit Collection, which included Pure Narcotic and Back to Paradise. Boadicea realized that two vastly different scents with the exact same name were a customer service and marketing nightmare. The company reportedly pulled both to "re-evaluate" the naming structure but instead opted to move on. P.S. You still can buy decants of the saffron version of Joyous on Scent Split.

This in my opinion is an absolute masterpiece. An under the radar gem that very few people will be able to get their nose or hands on. A berry-like sweetness hits you from the top with the saffron then it begins to dry down to this woody and very rich Amber profile that’s very hard to describe but phenomenal. The closest description I can give so you can relate to this perfume is the awesome dry down that ombré nomade has without the stinky oud. I don’t know why they discontinued this particular bottle but it’s worth the buck if you can purchase it. What I can tell you for a fact is that you will be the only one smelling like this when you put it on and for me that is enough reason to want to own a bottle . Longevity 10+ Sillage is good Projection is good I have blue sapphire and I will pick this over blue sapphire and believe blue sapphire is an outstanding perfume I don’t play with.

#1670 in my “Tour de Fragrance” Got this sample from scentsplit.com. The only Boadicea scent I’ve felt compelled to purchase so far is “Complex” from the “Courage” collection, which I found on sale at $160 instead of its usual $350 plus. With its combination of incense, olibanum, leather, resin and agarwood it is the most potently masculine men’s fragrance in my extensive collection. It lasts for days and it’s one of the their least expensive offerings. This scent, “Joyous” is from the “Classic Collection.” Priced at $600 plus. So unless the women smelling this on me today tear my clothes off and ravage me there’s not a chance in hell I’ll buy a bottle of this. I’m not really sure where the sweetness is coming from this but it gives is a definitely unisex feel.

There are 2 completely different listings for BTV's Joyous and I am fairly confident that the other entry is the real one and THIS ENTRY IS FAKE. Webmaster please delete the incorrect entry ASAP.
