I first encountered it during a trip to Harrods in 2018. I remember that moment vividly: among gleaming showcases and bottles that seemed to guard ancient secrets, Legend appeared. I tried it on my skin and felt it was not just another fragrance, but a story wrapped in flowers, woods, and mystery. It was like shaking hands with someone destined to remain in your memory. The following year I returned to London. I let myself be seduced by Violet Sapphire, bright and magnetic, and though my heart still longed for Legend, my partner convinced me: “let’s wait until the next trip, that way we’ll enjoy it even more.” It was a pact with the future. But then the world came to a halt. The pandemic forced us to suspend plans, and that encounter with Legend remained in an uncertain parenthesis. Almost two years later, we finally returned to London. Meeting the fragrance again felt like closing a circle left open long before. There it was, intact, waiting like a memory preserved in amber. When I finally acquired it, I wasn’t merely buying a perfume: I was retrieving the promise of an interrupted moment, breathing life back into a postponed desire. Legend does not simply perfume. It is a tapestry of emotions: its bright citrus opening is like the first impression of a journey, vibrant and fleeting; the floral, powdery heart speaks of the passage of time and of patient waiting; and the base of oud, sandalwood, and amber rises like a monument to the everlasting. It is not a fragrance you wear—it is one you inhabit. Perhaps that is its greatest virtue: Legend is memory turned into scent, a promise fulfilled after waiting, the echo of something once lost and returned with greater strength. When I apply it, I feel I am not just wearing a fragrance but invoking a personal story, a lesson about the value of what is long awaited. Legend is not simply a name: it is a destiny.

This... oh man. This one leaves me speechless. I live in North Texas, so aside from the AC, I get a very small window where I can wear this without suffocating myself—and everyone around me. But during that one week a year when it finally gets cold? Legend gets put to work. Overtime. I love fragrances that take you on a journey—where the scent keeps shifting and revealing new layers. This one absolutely delivers. From the opening to the drydown, it’s nothing short of excellence. But don’t rush it. Let it evolve. Let it tell the story. Every phase deserves to be savored. And when you reach the drydown? You’ll probably be obsessed. With the fragrance. With yourself. Yeah—it’s that kind of scent. Legend has character. It has presence. It has charisma. Not a single boring second. 10/10

A gorgeous blend of citrus spices and woods. This fragrance starts off with a heavy dose of vetiver and Iris giving it Beautiful blend of powder and a hint of citrus, Aoud & sandalwood complements the fragrance giving it a backbone to withstand the fall and winter. In my opinion this fragrance is blended superbly if you like citrus powdery fragrances, you will love this one. The Drydown is fantastic, it becomes a whole other fragrance. With the thick present Amber ,pepper, and rose. It turns from a slightly Fim fragrance, to a great unisex fragrance. 8 1/2 out of 10. Versatility . Projection and Long Jevity 10 out of 10. Stunning dreamy floral woody musk from this eclectic house. The perfume has a brief aromatic opening of coriander, mandarin, and neroli before it goes into a deep floral heart of ylang, jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, violet, magnolia and iris. The perfume settles on a powdery bed of amber, oud, sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, musk and vanilla. Like being surrounded by a field of the loveliest flowers, this feminine leaning scent has strong projection and sillage and excellent longevity. The stuff of the most pleasant dreams. Enjoy!

Whenever I wear Legend and visit malls and restaurants I can read the question in the eyes of the fairer sex - "What are you wearing stranger?" Extremely well made powdery floral woodsy perfume. I don't get the comparison with Haute Luxe. Both are excellent and different. With a spate of new releases which are powerful, classy and made with super refined ingredients Boadicea has clearly raced ahead leaving most of the rivals behind in the dust

Wowzers. I think my hunt for my one Iris is over. Love this! Opulent, classy, fresh, complex, with delicate florals and eternal performance. Sometimes my skin is at war with violet, but this is stunning. Time to save up.

How does this not get more attention?! Absolute masterpiece. Enough said.

Legend is a release from Boadicea The Victorious which actually aims to have some relevance to Boadicea herself, it quite obviously does not but that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a good scent. If you like powdery woods, this could be a winner for you. This is a very gentle scent, one that’s quite inoffensive and quiet yet holds quite a bit of character. The powdery, buttery, creamy facets of orris and ylang are joined by the dainty innocence of violet, resting on a warm woody base of sandalwood, Amber, vanilla and a whisper of oud. Overall I think this is lovely. I’m not crazy about it but I will happily wear my 5ml decant and enjoy it. However, seeing as this bottle is up on eBay for just shy of £600 there is no way on earth I would consider getting a full bottle - it’s simply not worth such an exorbitant price, but very nice nonetheless.

I know this is powdery, but this is a very subtle scent compared to what I’m used to with Boadicea The Victorious. I have to get right-up to my skin to smell it. It’s very pretty, soft and powdery thanks to the orris, musk and violet. There’s something more sultry in the base which literally smells like a clean ladies skin. It certainly becomes one with my own skin, but for that lack of sillage, I’m disappointed. Nude, musky skin perfection.

Urgh. Modern chypre-floral number billion-and-one anyone? Neroli, manadarin combo; check. Violet, magnolia, LOTV and jasmine-a-million; check. Cedar, pachouli copy paste, plus oud; yep, check =/ So, despite the Noble, majestic bronze-cast figurine adorning the bottle - it's so painfully predictable, drab and repeated, it seems almost pointless to review. All I can say is, picture any 'mainstram' designer, amp up the Quality to beyond an Amouage - and garnish with your pre-requisite splash of oud / booze (delete as appropriate). Sigh. Sorry gals and guys. Many will like this however, Mark Birley + oud? For me, Boadicea have far better, without the use of animal scrotums or celery too. 4, no 5. They used Rose instead of lavender. Could you also release a figurine edition for Monarch please, Boadecia? My rating: 5/10. Quality: 10/10.

The name is the best description to this creation, which is a real legendary release .... Very complex and continues to evolve & change over time...which reflects the craftsmanship & its internal beauty.... Starts with smooth animalic (coming from indolic jasmine note) & powdery ( coming from violet flowers ) vibe with slight ink smell..it has similarity to the old Chypre floral creations as Roja chypre & Diaghilev...the opening is powerful but changes rapidly & the animalic jasmine converts into creamy floral type...with time the iris becomes dominated giving it more creamy, buttery & powdery vibe mixed with bright florals... Then the magic appear as I feel that the iris is fading & woody Oud appears, then Oud fades & again the powdery iris becomes dominated... Legend pays homage to Queen Boadicea’s bravery with one of the most exquisite perfumes I’ve ever smelled in my life, the celebratory elixir is housed in a breathtaking bottle design with a bronze shield and deluxe cap featuring the warrior Queen standing at the top. This fragrance captures the quintessence of elegance with a blend of powdery violets set against the freshness of neroli and mandarin orange at the top, following up with a doze of sun-drenched ylang, so marvelous that it would make you skip a heartbeat. As the perfume transitions into the second phase, a buttery orris becomes the highlight, accompanied by the warmth presence of amber, subtle ornaments of rose, lily of the valley and magnolia which further enhance the multifaceted concoction with subtle nuances, elevating the complexity of Legend into a whole different level. By contrast, the dry down place the scent much further East with the addition of oud, sandalwood, patchouli and musk cocooned in the velvety sweetness of vanilla. The iris here is reminiscent of Dior's powdery fragrances. This is is more of a powdery white floral focused fragrance. I feel like the Diors offer more than just white floral and iris though, and don't cost $600 This doesn't smell anything like Haute Luxe lol why is that rated the most similar fragrance

Bravo Christian Provenzano! Legend is fantastic. A lot like Roja Haute Lux to my nose and even better. A signature fragrance no doubt.

Very strong iris scent! You have to love iris! It goes more woodsy on the dry down. I feel it is more feminine to my nose and taste.

One of the worst iris frags I've ever smelt. Pure animalic poop with powderyness. This can't compete with Harmonious
