Its selected components harmonize smoothly against the current of normality and stagnation.. it fills existence with an unfamiliar beauty.. emitting a wonderful sensual tendency, captivating me and leaving me in confusion and describing it until it closes your imagination. . My ink streaks it, and my words perfume it.

This scent is fantastic and one of a couple (Green Sapphire, Violet Sapphire & Valiant), I would like to own from BdV but will never due to the obscene pricetag of 800-1200 for a 100ml bottle. As far as this scent it opens up with a fruity pebbles cereal vibe (fruit, berries and brand) that over time melts into a cohiesive, creamy, sweet, woody musk that is to die for. Compliment factor, for those interested, is through the roof. DUA has a clone that is 89% accurate for those wanting to carry the overall scent profile without the HD detail the original has, and honestly is for the wearer more than those around him/her. 9/10 scent IMHO and one that is a shame to have been priced out of the majority of the market, as it is a very good scent.

i've had a sample of this one for a few months now. beautiful, sweet scent, but it isn't worth almost 800 dollars. might as well go get love by kilian. they're very similar.

I know I just left a very negative review for Beyond Romance by Ralph Lauren for being too sweet, so here I go being a hypocrite, ready to sing praises for Love Poison. But first allow me to explain. It’s true that this is a very sweet gourmand that is pretty much one-dimensional. Not much development happens from first spray to dry down, but that’s not always a bad thing when the composition is done well, with quality ingredients and good blending. It’s all in the blending here people. I get that hit of raspberry, brown sugar, and underlying it all there’s a hint of spice. It’s probably the caraway as cinnamon does something nasty on my skin chemistry and turns nuclear and stanky. Here the spice is just the right punch to break up the sweetness from becoming a stomachache. Borrowing from Beyond Romance’s page someone had the gall to compare that to a raspberry cheesecake. I got nothing but high fructose corn syrup. Maybe if lil Debbie released a prepackaged cheesecake that’d be a suitable comparison. Now this is what I’d liken to raspberry cheesecake, or some other delicious dessert that is restaurant style quality. For those who dislike gourmands this may be too sweet for you. We all have our limits, it’s okay if this is yours. But if you’ve ever unironically doused yourself in Pink Sugar, as an adult this is just the kind of sophisticated step up you need in your life. When I came to the page to leave my review I happened to see this is compared to love by Kilian. I owned that one a few years ago in its original black bottle and that was a hell of a beast. I think Love Poison may be a bit tamer in comparison (though I haven’t smelled the newer pink bottle batches to see if they’ve weakened the juice) but it’s still well performing. This is the first fragrance I’ve tried from Boadicea, though their bottles have always caught my attention for how stunning they are. I have the impression that they take their fragrances seriously, even the candy sweet gourmands that most houses just phone in (Another BR540 dupe, anyone?) Most of the others from this house I’ve looked up intimidate me as they usually always have some very intense notes and I’ve seen lots of Oud thrown around, but after trying and falling in love with this scent I have to know more about their work.

Was so happy to add this gem to my collection! It's stupid pricey though and because of that I'm not sure I'll buy it again. Buuut, I am interested in Back To Paradise, so I may just splurge one more time. I agree with other reviewers about the Fruity Pebbles. Seriously, it's as if they took a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, added a few soft notes to it, and BAM, a perfume was born. To me, it smells so much like Fruity Pebbles that I find it difficult at times to distinguish any other aroma, other than a subtle amber far in the background. I adore it nonetheless. Very fruity (duh lol), soft, and creamy.

Sigh. Let me just say Boadecia is not a brand for the safe-nose'd. This came out loud and overwhelming. Heavy and choking under the usual suspect theme of Boadecia's 'Heavy Metal Florals'. Namely, some weird combination of Rose, an ancient strange bouquet and maybe magnolia, yet again. 'Fruity red-berries'? No I don't smell so, erm I mean think so! My nose picked up more of a strawberry right off the top, not a 'Redcurrant' like actual Berry note. And it wasn't a great, lively juicy-sweet one either. It's more 'steamy powdery'. Everything was so heavy-handed. Oddly, it's 'smooth' but in a very dark and heavy way. This was part of my 'shoot-out' between a stack of Boadecia's and my current no1 on my 'To-buy' list, Ramon's amazing Flamenco. I wanted to see who had the 'Best Berry' frag. I ordered the samples straight from Boadecia's website) - and also tested all these scents for accuracy and uniformity on a stop by at Harrods too where they have bottles on display and 3 of them were of the samples I ordered. The £230 bottle of Flamenco (100mls) is no slouch on the wallet. But it utterly humiliated the £500(+) bottle of this, was far more up my alley and characterful than Aqua Sapphire and also beat out the £700 bottle of Torero. Torero isn't too bad, in fact it's much 'safer' and better than this and quite pleasant. But for £300+? No, double that and then some?? Come on now. Maybe Torc is the best from Boadicea for me but it's no where near toppling Flamenco really at it's price of £350! Thank God for samples as just by the notes alone this was a near certain 'blind-buy' for me! My rating: 3/10.

This smells (to my nose) almost identical to Love by Kilian as the reviewer below mentions — it’s pretty much indistinguishable. I sprayed both on two separate cards and I swear it’s the same juice haha. I don’t know what Fruity Pebbles or Tootsie Rolls smell like as we don’t have those items here in the UK and I’ve never tried them elsewhere, so I can’t vouch for the ton of comparisons to those items, but I definitely agree that it’s uncanny to LBK. And just like LBK I think this smells like artificial grape (think grape soda or grape sweets) and marshmallows. I like it though, also performance on this is better than LBK.

Why, in the name of all that is holy, would someone want to smell like a children's breakfast cereal--and an especially appalling one at that? AND spend several hundred dollars for the privilege? Are you all just punking the rest of us and it really doesn't smell like this--or are you all not-too-bright 12-year-old multi-millionaires? Seriously--does no one here have the slightest problem (1) with a niche fragrance smelling like children's cereal, and (2) this alleged liquid cereal costing close to $800 USD??

Yeah, it’s that orange blossom/marshmallow fragrance style that always smells like those weird valentine hearts to me and I just don’t understan it. Except this has some strange caraway seed smell. If I paid $700 for this I’d be so upset at myself. But, to each their own. If you like this fragrance style just buy Oriana or something similar.

I saw this on eBay for 700 dollars. These fragrances are outrageous in price. No fragrance is worth this kind of money. They must be out of their mind

I bought the one from Dua fragrances and if uve ever opened a fresh box of fruity pebbles cereal,this is what this smells like.

If Fruity Pebbles and Juicy Fruit gum had a baby, this would be it.
