Majestic

As soon as i sprayed this i was in love because of how well the cinnamon is done here. I also get cardamom, vanilla and sandal wood. The perfume is so delicious and creamy i just had to buy it on the spot and i did not care about price or performance but it worked out great because this perfume performs so well on me. Longevity on skin is till i shower. projection is really good for about 3 hours then it sits closer to the skin. Overall i love it and i would buy it again if i ever run out it. 14-MAR-2021.

This is really great. For real! I think it may have been discontinued, because its no longer on the Harrods website and there are only a few left on the boadicea website. Im so glad i jumped on it before I missed out like i did Michelin. If anyone has Michelin they want to sell, like I want it bad

Incredibly heavy on tonka and spices. It's beautiful though. Cardamom opens up gorgeously. Tonka reminds me of Le Labo's tonka interpretation. I get lots of vanilla and woods as well. It's an incredibly cozy "fall" scent.

An exclusive dense Oriental created for the Harrods store, this is an interesting offering from Boadicea. The highlight is a smoky labdanum. The perfume opens with this note first surrounded by cardamom, lemon and berries. Then other notes like slight florals and spices are detected. The perfume settles into a powdery woody base highlighted by amber, woods, patchouli and synthetic musk. Overall the perfume evokes a sophistication that is associated with shopping in the worlds most renowned luxury store. Unisex perfume with moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. With BTV Majestic I did something different and just decided to spit out anything that came to mind without regard for writing something well put together. This is my internal dialogue. “Wow! That is sweet...Is that honey? Well it's also kind of berry sweet. I’m seeing the color red but not cherry. It’s red berries. Maybe raspberries. Cranberry? It's a few combined but leans into raspberry preserves.” *2 minutes in* “Ok, it's still very sweet. Still red but mellowing. Still gettin honey.” *5 minutes in* “Hmm, the sweetness is subsiding and a small dose of spices are coming through. Also getting some powdery sandalwood. Still sweet but not as intense.” *10 minutes in* “This is starting to find its footing. Still a bit of lingering “red” and honey but I'm getting a touch of earthiness. Maybe smoke. Is that incense?” This is where I looked at the notes. Fortunately the intense sweetness evolves quickly. It quickly grounds and goes more earthy. The profile, while complex, makes sense...alll of it. Cloves, cinnamon, rose, saffron, incense, leather, ylang-ylang, oakmoss, tonka, oud, and amber all contribute to a sweet, spicy, and earthy profile.

Majestic could be summarized as a sumptuous, mouthwateringly spiced gourmand that projects dignified power and sophistication. But let’s break it down a little bit, ...as the name suggests, the delivery here is aristocratic smelling, built on kaleidoscopic contrasts of fruity sweetness, woods, spices and florals, highlighting a fusion of berries and cardamom at the start, followed by the core of cinnamon, rose and ylang wrapped in a smoky veil of labdanum, and transitioning into a warm woody base formed by the unification of amber, patchouli and sandalwood cocooned in the delectable creamy sweetness of vanilla and tonka. Majestic is a perfect scent for a romantic winter night, a wonderful olfactive poem, delivered in liquid form to enamor lovers of orientals. The scent is presented beneath a dazzling olive green flacon with the iconic frontage of the world’s greatest department store “Harrods” framed in the gold Boadicea’s shield.

This is a fourth addition of Boadicea to my collection and I’m a tiny bit disappointed. Not with the fragrance itself, which is lovely, delicate, mixture of flowers, woods and spices but by it’s staying power. It seems to evaporate within a couple of hours. Compared to superb longevity of Blue Sapphire, Rose Sapphire or Nemer, Majestic comes across as ‘watered down’. Also, when sprayed on skin, it doesn’t leave this oily residue compared to its sister fragrances. Shame really, as it really is a good scent. If only it lasted longer.
