Pioneer

I agree with the reviewer below. This is similar to Explorer, but much drier and woodsier. It has nothing to do with Royal Oud either. It’s a very dry, bitter, woody, and smoky scent. Note pyramid feels a bit incomplete, as I get a hint of cypress, flint, moss and artemisia. Some incense too, although it could just be the labdanum. I get zero Oud. To me, this sits in the same realm as Italian Cypress, which makes this both elegant and refined, and best suited for mature gentlemen. I like it a lot.

A lovely woody citrus from Boadicea, and a very unique one. The perfume opens with citrusy notes of orange and bergamot before moving to a heart of mostly galbanum and finally settling into a powdery base of oud, labdanum and cedar. Beautifully blended masculine leaning scent with pronounced sillage, projection and sillage. True to its name, recommended for bold pioneering gents. It is earthy, outdoorsy and one of a kind. Enjoy!

Beautiful combination with the Orange, Galbanum and light Oud and Cedar, there is a slight resemblance to CDG 2 to my nose. Glad I added this fragrance in my collection. This scent is good for Fall/Winter and Occasionally in Spring.

Really liking this one. Reminds me a bit of a zesty Creed Royal Oud. As the piney orange vibe drys down I get light oud touches a really quality cedar. The dry woods pair so well with the citrus nuances.

This is basically Explorer rebottled with maybe slight differences but it has the same diesel fuel/motor oil effect (in a good way) explorer has. Sorry, but you're not going to get M7, Royal oud, or psychedelique with this and I love all of them except psychedelique as that is more of a like instead of a love. But anyway Pioneer will give you a grassy rooty shrubs forest experience similar to fragrances like Eldo Afternoon of a faun but better blended. Now I don't need a full bottle of explorer since I have this so there's that. Solid 8 fragrance!

This is definitely not juicy, fresh orange and/or lemon, the way they combine with the woodiness and the galbanum comes off as the bitter peels of each fruit. It's blended very well yet you can still pick out each individual note and how it's contributing to the overall smell. Longevity and sillage are nice but not quite as dramatic as implied here - about 5 hours into my wearing I'm having to look for it and not getting wafts of it in the air anymore.
