Pure Narcotic

I agree with most of what has been said by the reviewer below. But unfortunately we don't have a say in the way perfumes are priced. What I do is to wait for something to pop up on eBay from reputed sellers & also get things at times from certain official sites. Many years ago Arabian Oud was selling a small bottle of Prince Diaminy attar at their Oxford Street shop for £ 10000. And there was a waiting period too !! Add inflation and that amount becomes even more staggering. I know some people who bought that stunning Prince Diaminy attar but they rarely come here on Fragrantica. Coming back to Pure Narcotic (I am leaving aside the question of price to other reviewers) I like this for its sheer quality and the artistic blending. It opens with a gorgeous blast of florals led by Jasmine. I also get musk almost immediately. There's a very mild oily texture to it in a good way. Spices show up a bit later. Base is a mix of everything. It's a simple, high quality scent that I enjoy wearing at times. Edt The initial blast of flowers is very intoxicating. Musk and so many other ingredients take over slowly after 3 to 4 hours. The addictive initial floral phase gets over after about 3 to 4 hours so the name of the perfume is justified for the first 4 hours after that reapplying becomes necessary or else it becomes a sweet musk fragrance which is also good. Whenever I rate a perfume for my self I always try not to focus on a price because perfumery is an art even so they are sold much higher than produced which is normal, it’s a business. However with this brand there is no art, almost all their offerings that are expensive doesn’t even have that wow factor, doesn’t even feel that are expensive like for example some Roja ones or other luxury brands. Pure Narcotic is just a simple sweet white floral composition that is not much different than any other on that genre but this cost almost 1k$ for what? I cannot say that Boadicea doesn’t use high quality ingredients but their offerings are either higher quality copy or just works that instead of months, years of planning they were done in weeks and you can feel it. Well that is what you get for producing like 10 perfumes every year. No wonder this has been released for Russian market like many others

Smells like peach and black jack sweets too me. Very unique blend that is not too dark or mature. Pleasant overall.

The short life of this perfume is very similar to the prolonged dry down of Solar, also discontinued.

Lighter version of Amouage Beach hut man ?
