Rebellious

I can't get enough of BtV and I really don't understand the hate they seem to get. Sure some of their offerings are expensive but they also have some incredible scents (including this one) that are no more expensive than other niche brands. 100ml of this is currently £295. The best thing about BtV though, is that you can get 10ml for exactly a tenth of the price of the 100ml (so, £29.50) so you get the same price per ml even when you're too cash scrapped to buy a big bottle, and they even come in little cute mini versions of the larger bottles now. Less than £30 for 10ml of a niche fragrance is a really decent price. Rebellious is one of my faves though, it's rich and feels decadent but nowhere near scratchy or harsh. It gives me a dark cherry or rich red fruit vibe with a smoky, leathery grit to it, not sweet or jammy at all and really smooth. I can't stop sniffing mt wrist when I wear it. It's even got enough airiness about it to make it quite wearable in the day, although I'd categorise it as more of an evening scent. Love, love love.

As of now (I say this because I have a few Boadicea fragrances on the way lol), Rebellious is my favorite Boadicea fragrance. This is a beautiful woody saffron with some light florals in the heart and a luscious sandalwood base. I do pick up on some similarities to Amouage Overture Woman, but Rebellious doesn't have that pungent liquor accord. I honestly think I prefer Rebellious, even though I also love Overture. I'm surprised I don't hear more people talking about this one.

Another beautiful scent that is perfectly crafted. It’s sweet but airy, spicy but powdery. As much as people like to attack Boadicea, the craftsmanship is obvious in the final product.

Rebellious by Boadicea the Victorious is an intoxicating fragrance that I can't keep away from my nose. It is completely unisex and doesn't lean masculine nor feminine in my opinion. It's not the most complex or unique fragrance but it's still amazing. I don't know what it is that keeps on making me want to smell this gorgeous scent. I'm not the biggest fan of Boadicea the Victorious as a brand, but I really like this fragrance and The Valliant. The rest are overrated and overpriced in my opinion. I rate Rebellious 8/10.

I don't like it. It is feminine leaning and does not perform well, as it becomes a skin scent after 30-60 min. The scent is fruity-floral to my nose, the opening smells like Lychee (that's probably the violet note though). I don't smell any suede or saffron at all. Get a sample before you buy, Scent 5,5/10 (EDIT: 8/10) Performance 6/10 Versatility 7/10 EDIT: I started to like this fragrance for some reason. My description is still true though. If you want something unique yet "bright" and likeable, try this fragrance.

You can’t go wrong with any of Boadicea the Victorious fragrances, I always rate them so highly. This one could easily be mistaken for coming from one of the Arabian houses. But what sets this apart, is its refinement - it’s not a screaming powerhouse. Although it lasts a very long time, it’s subtle in its well blended projection of each note. It’s perfectly unisex, but leans slightly more feminine, due to the warmed suede with the rose, but only by a fraction. I love this house, it’s always a pleasure.

A sweet lingering Floriental. The perfume opens with notes of bergamot, saffron and cinnamon. The heart is predominantly rose with hints of violet and labdanum. The perfume settles on a powdery sandalwood note with hints of synthetic musk, suede and patchouli. The slight feminine leaning scent has moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Pleasant but not hugely exceptional. Enjoy!

Powdery saffron based musk. Mild nuances. I'm not a fan of saffron so this is a hard no from me. But objectively, it's somewhere between mediocre and decent. In Rebellious' favor, the final product is balanced and tame. And nevermind the price... 🙄

Dense, sweet, heavy. Really reminds me of the heavy, arabic oils from my arabic phase. Usually they had saffron, rose, sandalwood and oud. Al sharquiah and khaltat oud rings a bell. Leans masculine, lots of suede and masculine musk.

Unique scent, the saffron , cinnamon and rose are the star of the show. Perfect for date night and cold weather.

I think this may be the best constructed cinnamon fragrance on my journey thus far. A beautiful fragrance.
